Default Where is the money? Think energy.

Okay, Stimulus is passed and signed and all that. So where is the money going to be? Where ever energy is produced, that's where! Wind, water, solar, fossil fuels are all cash crops atm.

Alaska has been dead for many years now due to the decline in commercial fishing, but look toward the oil producing regions for clubs that service the people working on the pipelines. Wait until the prices spike in the summer before heading over to AK.

Colorado and New Mexico are both big players in the wind and solar sectors. North and South Dakota and Montana, too. Oregon is going Solar with production facilities in Portland and Corvallis.

I recommend avoiding regions that have been beacons to wealthy people. Being ostentatiously wealthy is so out this season!
*Vail, Co is in, Aspen is out.
*Vegas is out your local tribal casinos are in.
    *Prius in, Hummer out

Basically, anything that seems extravagant and pricey is out. So avoid working at the High Class (re; high price) clubs and look for those out-of-the-way jewels in the rough. That is where your big $$ is going to be found. As I gaze into my crystal ball, I see New Orleans making a big comeback over the next year or two. The symbolism of fixing that city combined with the easy access to oil and international waters means this presidential administration is trying to figure out how to dump boat loads of money into that city and all around the gulf coast. Keep in mind this is me just having a hunch, but if I were in charge of PR for the new Prez, that is where I'd be looking to make a big splash.

Dallas and Houston seem to be dying off in the stripper biz. Austin and San Antonio are booming. Phoenix is dead. Albuquerque is slowly gaining speed. Seattle could be good if it weren't for some draconian laws governing clubs and dancers. Look for areas surrounding Seattle for new clubs springing up. Spokane Wa. may be in line to get some energy money, too. Again, the stupid Washington state laws are keeping clubs dirty and full of pimps.

This is your Stripper weather report. Most of the country is in $$drought, but there are still places where guys love to "make it rain".

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

I've noticed this! I bank way more at the hole-in-the-wall, blue-collar joints than I do at the glitzy Bourbon Street chains where lap dances are $40 a pop.

Thank you for the post but i dont know if i would agree.

Have you ever heard the phrase "when things are bad for the average man, the rich are only getting richer"? I know a ton of wealthy people that are making big moves right now that will land them even more wealthy than they were before. Given- places of extravagance are not my favorite thing, nor the way i want to see the world as being, but my common sense tells me otherwise.

I personally would NEVER work in New Orleans, as it is the south and probably worse than south florida- if that is possible?? HALF the dope boys and pimps i have met are from new orleans and are not even a high caliber of either of this breed. As much as it will be nice to see the people of this area back on their feet and doing well again- i am not moving there to dance.

Everyone keeps telling me that Vegas is dead , Vegas is dead, but i just dont see it. I know three girls here who are paying tuition for college, sending money to family, and even buying real estate. I truly feel that average girl who knows what she is doing here it still making 6 figures or better a year.

Remember : the rich stay rich despite what the rest of us may be going through.
I worked in palm beach the first half of last year and made more money than i ever have in my whole career as a dancer. The reason is because there are so many RICH people there. Bottom line. Blue collar guys are good and nice and are pretty easy to get to spend if they have it to blow, but they will never be that guy who throws 3k at you in a night.

Like i said........ appreciate the post, but i completely dissagree.

i kinda agree. and i kinda agree with nina. the truly rich are doing great. the blue-collar middle class are still spending what they can, and the green collar is definitely growing. it's the white collar middle class customers that aren't good for money any more. clubs/girls that cater to truly high end customers are probably doing just fine. clubs/girls that cater to middle class white collar guys who want to feel truly high end for a few hours aren't doing that well. clubs/girls that cater to people who actually work for a living probably aren't hurting that much because people who are in the habit of working for their money will always find things they can do to get paid. they can afford to spend decent money, they just don't like to show off and they don't luck show off clubs. they like dives.
-love everyone but keep them far from your soul-

same here (not in NO specifically, but in every city I've worked in). And IMHO it doesn't necessarily have to be a hole in the wall, it could be a mid-class club...but yeah, I make 2-3 times as much $$ (and have an easier time doing it!) at mid- or low-class clubs than I do at high-priced swanky 'gentlemen's clubs'.

I'd much rather walk out the door with $500+ every night than sit on plush chairs and drink $13 martinis.

I agree with the point that i do better at smaller clubs, unless the bigger club REALLY is full of wealthy guys. Honestly, i believe its just easier to manage a smaller club. They tend to house a lof of unattractive girls that are not hard to compete with and/or run less girls per night. These places are spots where you can literally stand by the VIP, ATM, or front door and nab a guy without even thinking about it.

So in that sense - the dives are great!! In certain areas (wealthier areas) the dive bars are actually low key baller spots. Guys who dont want to be seen in a high profile club will go there for the privacy. I have experienced this on many occasions.

Thanks for the reminder. I was having a hard time deciding which club I want to audition for next here, and it was between two large upscale big-name clubs and a small club that's not a dive but definitely not fancy, huge or overpriced. Decision made.
