    Default newwww ;)

hello everyone! i just wanted to say hi. and that i am totally obsessed with SW. im not a dancer yet, but hoping to audition (or whatever) soon. so far you ladies are all super helpfull!!

oh, i do have one question. more like i need some advice. lol
i know once i get going, ill be comfortable dancing, etc. im just nervous about the whole, not knowing anyone thing. i mean, im a veryy confident person and i can pretty much handle anything you throw at me by myself, and i like it that way. but how can i get over my fear of being a clueless noob alone, with none of my best girls to help me get a confidence boost?

    sorry kinda long!

Welcome to SW! Just read through here like a mad woman and you won't be clueless on your first day. As a general rule, know that many clubs have dancers that try to scare away the newbies, so just keep to yourself unless the dancers are friendly and introduce themselves to you.

Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Not knowing anyone is part of the job. Stripping isn't like high school where everyone knows each other. (Unless you're working at a really small club) The other strippers should be used to getting new girls and whatnot. Just be really nice to everyone and keep your head low. It tends to get preeeettty catty.

    Hi, welcome to StripperWeb! =)
You just have to keep telling yourself that you are there to make big bucks, not make friends. I know it's hard not knowing anyone, but you just need to be able to make yourself feel confident on your own. You'll get really thick skin from that and you'll be glad you did. And like it was mentioned, you don't need to be buddy-buddy with the girls, just civil. Just keep to yourself and you'll do fine. Go make that money girl!

Some girls might start talking to you and asking if you need help or whatever, etc. Take what help you can get, and ask house mom or some of the nicer girls if you have any questions, but don't make it a priority. Socializing is not a good thing in this job, and it comes with drama, drama, drama. Seems like the few times I've chatted with someone while getting ready, they start latching on to you to complain or tell stories or gossip, or they gossip about you, and it's nothing you want to deal with when you're just trying to make money.

I try to stay as anonymous as possible, low-radar. It's kind of like if the other girls start knowing stuff about you, they start to gossip and rumors go, and before you know it you've made yourself drama OUT OF NOWHERE!

    welcome ...
i think the other advice youve gotten here is great. im just staring myself, after waiting freaking plong enough. but just remember its the same with any job, youre not going to know people, you just have to focus on work. dont try to overly be nice to everyone, lots of clubs have a higher turnover of new girls, so they may not even speak to you much until youve been there a while, and they know youre there to stay. just concentrate on making money and im sure eventually youll get to know a few of the girls...

This is SO true. Like the camel spider, stripper drama comes from fucking nowhere. On the few occasions that I've warmed up to some other girls, I got caught up in drama before I even realized what was happening. It's better to stay aloof.

As far as the fear of being a clueless noob, just remember that EVERY stripper in the club was new once. Everyone was nervous; everyone busted their ass in the platforms once or twice (or more). Remember how sexy and beautiful you are, and remember that the customers are here to see YOU!
