Thumbs up Makin good money, anyone else?

So many girls complain about how bad it is with the recession bull shit going on. Their worrying is making me hustle harder haha! Pretty much, so many girls go to work thinking they wont make shit... and yeah they dont.

Honestly i still make reallly good money... Sure the holiday season was a little stressful cuz people were really cheap.... but since the new year things have perked right back where they were last year this time.

I'm curious.. is anyone else taking home a Grand or more a night??

you can put me in that list, but only Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights.

No doubt it's more challenging, but I enjoy working harder than the other girls and lately I've found myself the only girl in the vip often... and that's ok with me, hehe.

I do feel bad though when I see the odd 'drop dead gorgeous' girl make only $20 after 6 or 7 hours after a night I've done very well at. She might have worked her ass off, too. but it's more than hard work and good looks... you gotta have good people skills first.

I started about a month ago and only work Fri and Sat and I've been consistently making about that much. I think the reason is because many of the girls thats been working for years knew how it was like when the place was packed with spending customers but now times have changed and they haven't adjusted to it. (Of course there are still girls thats always been top earner and have been working for years) But I think since I never saw the greener side of things I work harder. And yea people skill is important, esp since people arent willing to just spend the money right away.

    same here.

And I work at a small local club, in a city that a lot of people on SW think sucks and has no money. pfft, whatever.

Since I started at this club, I've set a grand as my goal every night I work. And most of the time I either hit it, or come within $200 of it.

yeah weekends are really good if you can hustle that atmosphere. i prefer weekdays just because they are less stressful and less customers, but the customers are there to spend money. theres a reason they are going to a strip club on a monday or tuesday night haha.

It's virtually impossible to make a grand in my club (no seriously...), but I've been doing consistently very well. I'm into my third year of dancing, and I'm making more than I did for my first and second by far. Rock on ladies!! There's still money out there!

Its ALL mindset. I consistently walk out with my goal. Often times, you can add a zero on the end of what the girls in the lockerroom are complaining that they made.

Charlie, some clubs DO have an earning's ceiling that is hard to break, especially if it lacks a VIP room where you charge hourly or if the hourly rate is relatively LOW for strip club standards (like $200/hour...you'd have to sell 5 consecutive hours) But ANYTHING is possible. I was so stoked the first time I walked with a grand at my club where prices were set at $10 dance and $200/hour and I did it in 6 hours.

^^ I don't know....I mean, I realize that mindset is a huuge factor. But I work in a no-contact dive club on the outskirts of a college town. It isn't exactly the kind of place where someone would buy 8 CR's in a row. I hate to sound like a doubter...but even the #1 hustler in the place can't ever get anyone to buy more than two in a row. The VIP/Champagne rooms are really small and aren't that nice...it isn't the kind of place that makes you feel baller enough to drop that kind of cash. And we aren't allowed to set our own prices for VIP/CR.

I haven't been making a grand a night but I certainly don't buy into the recession bs and have been doing pretty well.

What I love about my club is there are lots of business men so I don't feel so alone in my thinking it's almost like were all in the know or something.

My club is slowly turning into a weekend only club and hopefully it will bounce back. My numbers started to shoot up last week for the first time since December. Too much snow, holidays and lay offs in the area and general freaking out.

    Tax time is getting closer.

    aww. *blushes*. thanks.

believe me, it wasn't always like this. The turning point was when I went to work in a fairly dead stage-only club, where there were no LDs, no rooms, no possible way to make money other than a few dollars every stage turn. At first it was a refreshing break from the hustle (which I used to hate), but after about a month I started craving the opportunity to hustle and play the game and sell dances! It's not a chore or a source of stress; now I see it as an opportunity, a chance to play a fun people-skills game and see just how much I can possibly earn.

Before my stint in stage-only hell (not that all stage clubs are awful, but the ones around here are), I would walk into work feeling anxious, with the mindset of "ugh, I have to talk to people and get rejected and stress about making my house fee and blah blah blah I hate approaching people and no one's going to want to buy dances from me..."

Now I walk in to work thinking "yesss! another night to hone my skills, put on a sexy show, have a good time, give hot dances that leave men drooling, flirt and hustle my ass off and BANK!"

It doesn't matter what you make in relation to others in completely different situations. As long as you're doing well for yourself, you have every right to be proud. (And if that's you in your av...you have an absolutely perfect body; of course guys would line up for dances with you!)

Congrats to all you girls making good money! Always nice to hear that there are still girls doing *well* out there. I'm so tired of hearing complaints! lol

I'm doing pretty well, much better than I did at my last club. I had a big confidence boost working at my new club, and while I'm FAR from a top earner, I'm meeting my goals nightly without too much trouble. Here's to hoping the trend continues for me and for all of you too!

Obviously "good money" is relative, but I'd say I'm doing pretty well. Certainly not struggling or considering other options. Like Britney said, it's all about your mindset. If you convince yourself that the economy/your club/city/appearance is going to hinder your money, then it will. But if you're mindful of your thoughts pertaining to work and strive to keep them positive, it will show in your attitude and the money will come.

I have absolutely been BANKING the past several shifts. And it's weird, because literally every other girl will sit around upstairs, bitching about how there's no money. They'll go downstairs and walk around for a minute, then go back upstairs and resume the bitching. And whenever I'm upstairs changing my outfit, I just sit quietly and say nothing, because I have hundreds of dollars in my purse, and they're saying they'll be leaving with like $30.

^^ This is why I have to remind myself not to get discouraged by the fact that there are 40+ girls on an average night shift. There may be 40+ girls physically present in the club, but not many of them are actually working!

100% true! LOL, some of the most gorgeous girls make the LEAST money and a lot of the older "veterans" who may not have that fresh-faced/perfect body look make TONS more. In fact it is sad bc some girls put in hours at the gym and then another girl who eats McDonalds, but knows how to hustle comes to work and doesn't spend the gym membership money, but makes like 10x the amount. People skills first, looks second, weird, but true 95% of the time (there is that occasion that a guy just likes the way you look and spends a lot, but that is not the standard for most nights).

It's taken me a while to really understand this, but I feel like I am finally getting it. Mindset is SO important. I mean yeah, there are extreme cases where mindset won't help at all, say one of those nights that the club barely sees 5 customers.....but that is a rarity.
We have slow nights like any other club, and I still reach goal or close to goal. One thing I have learned is to NEVER judge a book by it's cover....meaning walking in and seeing that it is slow, and assuming I am not gonna make any $$. I used to do this all the time and now that I have realized how self-destructive it is, some slow nights have actually been my best! The # of bodies in seats has nothing to do with my potential earnings....All it takes is one guy to make my night.

SO many girls complain about not making $$, and what a coincidence....all of them are the ones I see standing back in the DR half the night griping, sitting at the bar with a scowl on their face, doing effortless, duldrum stages, and not asking a soul for a dance.

I get girls all the time asking me "How are you getting dances?" My response is...."I'm asking for them. Are you?"...."Well, not really......" So I say...."Well then how do you expect to get any?!"

I have been doing very well. It is my 4th year and it feels like everything is just clicking. Like i had a 800 dollar night and a 945 dollar night within 2 weeks. I didn't tell anyone at first because i felt like i would jinx myself, but i told a couple of girls at work that i am close to and made more money the next night.

I've been doing great in New Orleans. Not a grand a night, but that's just because I'm lazy.
