Default What's average for custy to spend?

I'm curious, from the dancer's point of view, what does the average customer spend on a week night? How do dancers profile customers? What's considered "lame, decent and big spender?" I enjoy watching the women work their hustle. Some are real pros, busily shearing the sheep while others are more squatters, making a living, but not a killing.

it depends. different guys come into the club with different budgets. and just because they can afford to spend a lot doesn't mean they will.

what i personally know (and i'm not speaking for everyone, but i know that i'm not totally alone in feeling this way)...is that i can recognize assholes like you within 20 seconds of conversation and that i excuse myself to talk to the dj as soon as i've caught on. because i absolutely hate the dudes who think they know what's going on so damn well.

go somewhere else mr goodall. leave the strippers alone.

My apologies, I know you asked for a dancer's POV, but I had a few quick observations ....

    1) What does the customer spend on? Two guys could spend $100 in a given night, but one could be spending 80% of his money on dances and stage tips, while the other is trying to look like a player droping $75 for a stupid bottle and spending hardly anything on the girls

    2) How long are they there? One guy can run in spend 30 min and spend $40 on a dance, a stage tip and a quick drink and be seen as more favorable than a guy spending $100 over an entire 8 hour shift

    3) How often is the guy there? A guy who comes in 4 nights a week with his $50 a night, might still draw more attention than the guy who pops in once a month with his $200

Lastly, my impression is the ladies don't so much care how much a customer spends unless it's on them. The same customer could as you put it be "lame", "decent" and a "big spender" all at once to the various dancers.
If you can't win. Make the fellow in front of you break the record.

Whatever he has in his pants pocket, coat pocket, wallet and in his ATM account. (True story. Read it here.)
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

Actually, most girls don't really think in depth about how much the customers are spending, because we are more focused on what we're personally earning. However, for the most basic strip club experience (cover, drinks for you and the girl of your choice, singles for the stage, and a handful of lapdances) is at least $100-$200. I wouldn't say "average", but bare minimum. This also depends on the time frame, squatters at the bar not buying drinks or doing dances will be labeled as lame, or at least ignored. I agree with customers being labeled as lame by different dancers, depending on who and who you won't spend on.

A decent customer to me would be a customer who typically does all of the above and an hour or two in the champagne room. So add on another $300-$400 to that. Decent customers to me tip about 20% on top of the room also, although I don't label them as lame if they don't. So that would bring the total anywhere between $500-$1000.

Big spenders spend several hours in the champagne room with just me or several girls and tips at least 30-50%. This totals in the thousands.

This is just my personal experience and observations. So now you don't have to sit there and people watch at the strip club, do that at regular bar. Or at least now you won't have to think about it too much, just go in and spend some money and enjoy a fantasy for a few hours. That's the whole point.

I totally agree. I can tell almost instantly whether it is worthwile for me to talk to said person.

Why are so many of you interested in our "inner workings" etc? You don't need a degree in Stripper-ology. Do what you feel comfortable with and enjoy the damn girls.

Oh I suppose like most anything, be it the stock market, baseball, classical music, or baking, the more you understand something, the more you can appreciate it when it's done well. Personally I enjoy watching anyone do something well. A talented stripper brings far more to the party than nudity. There's beauty, grace, fantasy, poise, confidence, good looks, and personality that all come into play. It's performance art and sales all gelled together.

Obviously SC are are about as pure as it comes when you're looking for a "Pay to Play" relationship. As a customer you definitely get out of it what you put into it. It's a symbiotic relationship for sure. The gals I know at the tame club (no VIP room, etc.) I visit consider $400 (net) a night a respectable target. Anything more is a bonus, anything less is disappointing.

The beauty of this website has been the insight it provides the uninitiated. There's some real angst out there and not too far beneath surface. Ouch

Cheap customers are the ones who will spend hours in there, getting drunk with their buddies and expecting girls to sit and talk to them for free, or worse, will try to bargain on the price of a single dance, try to touch for free or not spend anything on the girls yet want all the dancers to meet them after work. They are the ones who sit at the tip rail staring but never put any money out, or who go for one dance and act like they are entittled to the girl's comapny for the entire night after.

Deacent are the guys who will tip the girls they like on stage, buy a few dances for some of the girls, tip the waitresses well and don't waste anyone's time.

Big spenders are the ones who will spend all night in VIP, tip $20s on stage, buy the girls drinks (or offer to, at least), and pay girls just to sit and chat. They are the ones who buy bottles and pay for girls to drink with them, or get dances from every girl in the club.

How much alone doesn't matter, at least to me, it's about how long you are there, how you treat the staff (waitresses and dancers alike) and your attitude. It also depends on the club. I would consider a guy who came in, bought one dance ($50 at my club) from me, baought me a drink and left ($60-$70 total spent) a bigger spender and better customer than an asshole who spend $600- $700 on drinks for himself and treats the girls like crap.

Go to zbone.com, then click on "Pop Poll". The latest 1 is 2002, 1 month in there asked the question of the average a customer spends per strip club visit. The median point appeared to be $100- $200.

Uh, why the personal attack on the original poster? His question seemed perfectly reasonable to me. Am I missing something? Or is your repugnance due to another of his posts?

^^ So, that just means he notices the same things that we notice. It's kind of obvious when half of the girls are out talking to customers and the other half are sitting on the couch waiting for their stage turn.

As far as spending, I can understand his curiosity. He just wants to know where he stands. Just like I like to know where I stand with the other dancers.

It's so hard to answer this question. The best thing is when a guy is aware of your time, and that your time equals money (regardless of how cool he is or how much you're hitting it off). So, a guy who pays $100 for 5 lapdances is cool, but a guy who tips $20 for you because you sat and chatted with him is SO much rarer! Hope that helps...

To me if its a customer who sets up a time to meet in the club at least $200 for the hour.

A man of modest means can handle a hundred bucks plus a tip.

$300-500 is a good spender and anything above that to me is a bid spender.

When I hear men say "I spend good money" I say "define good money because your definition and mine are vastly different."

Sometimes a customer will spend very little money but tip nicely. That's a pleasant gesture and means he enjoyed my company or my dance.

Ouch. I hope that you don't say that to a guy in a club! I'd have my feelings hurt or ego bruised. How would you feel if a you told a guy that you give good lap dances, and he said "define a good dance because your definition and mine are vastly different."

At my place, it varies widely. We mostly do private dances, so if you want a basic show or a better show but a shorter time, $20. From there it goes up up up based on how long, how many girls, or what you're into.

In my opinion, the best thing you can do for a dancer going into a PRIVATE dance is to tell her up front what you're into. At my place, when the customer does that then I can easily quote an amount that makes me feel comfortable with it. Topless show with my skirt still on? $20. Wanna see more of me? Price goes up. Want me to come in closer to you? Price goes up again. I usually ask $100 tip for 15 minutes of medium touching. I get $60 out of that, basically. One of the girls at my club got over $200 to let a foot fetishist play with her toes. Another girl got close to $200 to slap her customer around during her dance. It all just depends.

Holy shit i only thought this happened to me. Sometimes I have to deal with smaller customers when all my salespeople are out. I know they are all important, but i have such a hard time keeping a straight face when they are going on about how much they are going to spend and i better give them the best price and typical bullchit. It ususally runs less than a thousand dollars.

In 15 years i have only once crossed the line and blew up at a customer, after they kept hounding me for additional discounts and going on how i hit the jackpot with him coming in and he was going to make my year! My employees were eating it up. Finally i lost it and told him that we were done. I officially fired him right there. He says you can not fire me. I told him the hell i cant. Take your 50k order and go, so i can get back to the 3 jobs on my desk each worth over a million. The look in his eyes at that moment was priceless.......but that was an extremely stupid thing for me to do. I did lose him and probably a few more customers because of what he said to them.

Damn i always walk around the world to make a comment-----------what was said to you was a dumbass remark----but your reply wasnt much better.
I understand you are a business woman and you do not have to put up with whatever you do not want to, but we all want to make money in the end and sometimes biting the lip works best.

I am just commenting on a situation that comes up in a lot of peoples lives everyday.

Of course I do! When he's being an ass and you are exactly correct. Every man has a vastly different idea of what a good LD is..

There's no set average for a guy that comes to a SC in a random fashion. This only applies ( for me ) to my regular custie(s).

When I asked the original question I was simply trying to gauge the traffic. Obviously there are tons of variables from state to state, city to city, and club to club. It's a fascinating little cottage industry that's been around in one form or another for a long time. I've been going to SC for 30 plus years. When I was younger it was all about T&A. As I've matured I'm much more appreciative of all that goes into the SC dynamic. The talent, looks, style, presentation, energy, hustle, psychology that makes that clock tick continue to capture my interest. Oh don't get me wrong, T&A are still the staples of the business, but knowing how the entertainment's bought and sold, who's selling and who's buying, what's fair, what's abusive, gives me a richer experience while I'm in the club observing all the social intercourse. This website has been a great source of insight. I appreciate people's frankness.

When I used to frequent my favorite SC, the dancer had to pay the house $10 for the first lapdance of each customer. The dance itself cost the customer $20 per song. I would take my favorite dancer and usually get 3 dances and I'd pay her house fee.

When I just want to escape away from my lousy relationship, I go to the strip club and try to spend under $20. Drinks and tips. If I am feeling depressed and need to have a good time then $60-100 is spent (a couple dances, drinks, tips)

On special occasions, I try to limit spending under $300, which is mostly spent on dances.

It depends on how friendly the dancers are and how much they make me drink; but you knew that.
