Default Need hints on boots. //flexibility//

    I LOVE my new boots.

Their my first pair of shoes. Their high platform, 7 inches, almost the span of my hand!

I figure "go with boots" because they provide ankle support and cover my toes.

I found I can walk in them with ease. I feel confident in them, I spent hours today walking around in them. On carpet, tile floor, hard wood, and concrete.

But my problem is I don't know how to get down in them.

Like from standing to squatting to being on the ground. Each time I try I unceremoniously fall on my ass.

Or If I'm trying to squat it hurts in the oddest places.

    SOOOO

I was wondering if you ladies knew any tricks for getting to the ground with ease.

    Or just flexing/stretching training.

    Thanks!

I wear only boots while dancing, the thigh-high kind. The issue is that you have a new pair and you have to break them in so that you can be comfortable. The boots are stiff but the more you use them the easier they are to bend. It could also be that they are a bit too tight so if you can adjust them so you can move better that could help to. It also helps to wear socks inside your boots, it feels better and keeps your feet clean.

To break em in you might want to spend some time at home on the couch on your back wiht your boots on, bending your knees slowly. Or try squatting. they have to be broken in and this takes a few days. once you get it, it will be fine.

    Check out Leather Stretching!

I'm currently having new leather thigh highs stretched @ a shoe repair shop. Its $25...I highly recommend this to all ladies that need a quick fix. I have large muscular calves in preportion to my legs & need the extra stretch to be able to function in them properly + it avoids having to break them in yourself & get blisters.

This can only be done with real leather & no other shoe material, keep in mind!

if you are on stage there is an awesome, and easy pole move that will slowly lower you to the ground on your back (there are actually quite a few, but this is the one I use when my ankles are feeling the burn from an 8 hour shift)

I'm sorry if my explanation is confusing (I don't know the first thing about dance instruction)...but here it goes!

So you're ready to get down to the floor. Have your back turned to the audience with your inside hand (the one on the side the pole is) gripping the pole. Grip your hand at about eye/forehead level. give your butt a good shake and add some hip moves as you prepare yourself, and don't forget to turn your head to give the crowd a nice, sexy stare.

Now, arch backwards as if you are doing the limbo, letting your inside hand hold your body weight. With your other free hand, run your hand through your hair, or sensually rub your thighs. As you slide down, lower and lower, you knees will start to bend. You want them to be relaxed but don't let them give. Make sure you are still anchored down by the front of your foot. As your head approaches the floor, you want to land on your upper back/neck, not your head. Once your upper back is on the floor, slide completely down. You should now be laying on you back with your legs up, bent at the knee. You can sexily raise your legs up, kicking in the air (I know this sounds retarded when written, but I don't know how to explain this) and then role over onto your belly. From there you can get on your knees and slowly drag your head up, finishing with a dramatic hair flip.

    I hope this makes sense!

Squats and crawling around on the floor at home, you'll get it.

I was told to not zip my thigh high boots all the way up when I first got them. I don't know if that works for others but it worked for me.

    Thanks ladies!
Now that I've started dancing their easier to move in.
But I still can't get to the ground in them to do floor work.
