Duh I have this burn scar...

It's a little bigger than a quarter, on my upper arm. It's semi-keloid -- meaning it's soft and kind of puffy and sticks out a little in some positions. I don't think that body make-up is going to cut it when I audition (the texture is more the issue rather than color) and it is quite noticeable.

I know that I could do really well as an exotic dancer. I have the people skills, the looks, and I'm learning the moves.

I just need to ditch this scar! I can't afford to have it removed until after I start dancing.

Is there any way I can hide it? Has this happened to anyone else?

Thank you lovely ladies so much. I really appreciate your help.

I don't think a scar will ruin your chances, the ammount of dancers with scars I know, plus with some make-up and under the stripclub lights it will be far less noticable. Don't worry about it!

I think you'll be fine. Strip club lighting isn't the best in the world, and with the percentage of girls even here in Vegas with REALLY bad scars and stretch marks still do great for themselves.

One of the top earners in my last club had a HUGE scar up the back of her leg from a car accident that was complete keloid - puffy, dark, and very noticeable in DR light - and she obviously didn't have any trouble at all. Just cover it with a bit of makeup and ignore it. Most people won't say anything or even notice. I'm sure you'll be fine!

Use merderma. It works great to flatten out raised scars and reduce their appearence.

Dermablend is a Godsend. It's make-up that is specifically made to cover up scars and stretch marks. But honestly, I think you're over reacting. Even in upscale clubs there will be girls with skin flaws. We're human!

The scar def will not ruin your chances. If you feel that uncomfortable, wear a sexy long sleeved outfit that covers it. Besides, a great conversation starter. I have huge scar on my left thigh thats at least 6" long from a car accident. It gives me character plus i think it looks kinda cool and draws attention to my thighs. Guys actually love it. Sounds weird but true.

I have a noticable scar on my thigh and David Blaine (Magician) said it was sexy (hehe) Try the sally hansen spray on tan if there is one for bodies and not just legs

Weird, I saw a dancer the other night who had a scar that I would describe in exactly the same way that you describe yours. She was in the champagne room for at least two hours, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I have a 3-inch long scar on my upper arm from a knife wound several years ago. It's not quite keloid but was several days old when I got stitches so the final healed result was pretty large. It doesn't like sun at all, and even with a ridiculous amt of sunscreen it burns like a mofo. My solution? I found a long hair scarf about 2-inches wide, silvery kind of fabric which I wrap around my arm when I am going to the beach, for example. The tan line is a bitch but I am thinking about doing this for when I'm dancing as well. Give it a try? Either with a fabric wrap or a metal armband if you can find one

I have two huge scars on the side of my thigh, tonight was the first night anyone noticed. You really can't see anything in strip club lighting.

If you're really paranoid, cover it up with clothing. One of the girls I work with has a huge scar (like four inches and deep) on her upper stomach, she just wears tops that cover it up and I had no idea until I saw it in the dressing room.

Don't hide it, birth marks, body marks can help guys tell friends about you. Girls always change hair, nails, and clothes, so if they tell friends look for the chick with such and such mark shes hot and awesome, it helps you.
I almost cut my hand off. The more it was looked at the more used to it I got, then I noticed that people only noticed it to extremes if I thought about it.

There's some kind of inocculation that used to give scars like that (maybe the polio vaccine but I'm not sure). As we have more advanced medical technology is the US you usually won't see them an anyone younger than 45 or 50 years old in the States but if you work with a large number of women from South America (and other countries too I'm sure) U will see this scar alot.

To OP nobody's gonna look at your arms when your tits ass, and possibly puss are in plain view.

I have a scar on my face that no one has asked me about in 5+ years of dancing except maybe a couple of gals who've seen it in the dressing room.
