    Smiley Distraction??

We posted a similar post asking managers if our attempt at selling our clothing lines at the clubs we frequent was a faux pas in another thread. From a dancers point of view, would people showing you catalogs in your spare time be a distraction to your work (especially if it's during a slow time of night...early maybe??)

    Thanks for any comments!

nah, i think it would be ok. most clubs i worked at always had people selling outfits coming through. although they usually had actual outfits - dancers are a flighty bunch and we like instant gratification. see it touch it, buy it.
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

That would be a good distraction if the club was dead and the prices were right. I bet you could get a lot of business. I'm a sucker for new outfits and so are most girls.

We can ship to U.K. But to be perfectly honest, not sure if it's worth the extra in shipping.

If you are interested PM us with the clothing you like & your address in the UK...we can at least let you know how much!

    Again, thanks for your comments!

Yeah, as long as you aren't hustling the hustlers, you should be fine. I've had people approach me, trying to sell me stuff, and it immediately turned me off. The sellers who do best tend to show up with good-looking shit, help the people who ask for it, and stay out of peoples' ways.

Most girls actually get their customers to buy them stuff, which makes it fun for everyone--the guys can feel like they're doing the stripper a big favor and can also get the instant gratification of picking out something he wants to see on her...and she gets a free outfit!

    Great stuff....

That brings us to a dilemma...Our best looking stuff is almost always our more expensive lines. We want to stay priced low enough that, even on a budget, dancers would like the prices. So, the old question, yes we would bring a mix of clothes/prices, but would anyone really want to spend $100 on an outfit?

He He...I guess that's where the customers come in handy..LOL

    Thank you!

Bring as much as you can stand to carry. There are a lot of times when I have the money and the inclination for a new outfit, and I'll go through an Outfit Lady's entire stock in the dressing room, only to not find a single thing I like that also fits right.

Bring as many sizes as you have; stick mostly to inexpensive stuff for impulse buys, but have a few expensive things just in case. At the very least, seeing and touching it will create interest to order it, and the girl who's having a really awesome night may just buy it. (It's few and far between, other than long gowns, but I have seen stripper outfits that cost that much on actual strippers in the club.)

Get a rolling hanger rack that you can set up in a discreet corner. I would actually suggest going in when it's moderate to very busy- and later on in the night. No one wants to spend money when the club is slow and they're not sure they can afford it. Fri and sat nights means more strippers on schedule and therefore more potential customers.

$100 isn't too much for a nice gown, though a bit pricey for your regular 2-pc or 3pc set. Stock up on essentials like black thongs, garters, fencenets, leg warmers, etc, the things every girl needs. I don't think Id want anyone showing me catalogs, I might casually browse one while on break and then forget about it, but if I can try on a costume right then and there chances are I'll buy it.

    Good luck!

^^ Great point! Smaller items that are absolutely essential for strippers (T-backs, garters, etc.) will probably be very popular! They're totally affordable and justifiable...as the dancers will know that they'll use them at some point. Plus, smaller items will make your stuff more approachable and will draw people in to look at the bigger stuff too.
