Skull Applying false eyelashes without spirit gum

A while ago a friend of mine, who wears false eyelashes on a daily basis, taught me to apply them by lining them first with the cheap glue that comes with them and then adding a small drop of spirit gum to each end and then on in the center of the lash. While they hold extremely well, I'm getting sick of dealing with the stuff. For example, tonight the bottle I opened up was really runny, so when I went to put a drop on one end, gravity lined the entire lash with spirit gum for me...so although I won't have the slightest fear of my lashes coming loose all night long...they're burning as its drying and its going to hurt like a bitch to rip off at 4 am.

Does anybody know of a glue that is stronger than what they give you with the lashes, that will last all night long without the ends coming off, and won't hurt so much to take off later...or burn for that matter?

You could try prosaide. It's what I use to glue down prosthetics for fx makeup. It doesn't burn and it holds forever. You put the glue on the skin and on the prosthetic, let them both dry until the glue is clear, and then apply the piece. You need prosaide remover to get it off.

I've never used it for lashes before, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I'll try it out tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

I've never had a problem with the LashGrip, the "normal" one that is usually hanging right next to the lashes in the store. You have to make sure you put on the right amount -- too much and it will be too messy, and too little and they won't stay on long, and you have to wait 30 seconds or so after applying the glue before you put them on your eyelids.. I'm sure you know this stuff already, but just in case. Unless you're being exposed to water on your face or something, the lashgrip usually holds at least 8 hours.. Sometimes when I do a double I'll reapply them halfway through. Hope this helps :-)

you could try lash tite, it's for individual lashes, but if you do a dot at the tips, it'll be fine.

I use the black glue also. I put a line on the lash, then tap the lash onto the lash line. This way you have 2 surfaces with glue. Let them both dry for about 30 seconds and stick them together. Eyelash glue is basically a rubber type cement that has 2 hold strengths
    1. glue on ONE surface..strong
    2. glue on BOTH surfaces....very strong.
Also let them dry completely before adding liner of any kind as it can weaken the bond.
please remember to wet lashes before removing them, this way you will do no damage to your natural lashes
