Default its called a stripTEASE right?

I had a horrible customer last night.
Comes for a private strip, which I make sure he knows is just a basic striptease, 1 metre away from him.
If he wants a lapdance or a toy show he has to tip. He asks "what ELSE do you do?" I say, "thats the lot".
    "are you sure?"
"Yes" smiling and being polite still.

He says "we'll just go with the basic show, and then see how I feel" Which in my book means no tip, and Im earning $10 for 15 minutes of my time.
We have 3 songs, and when the guy doesnt tip, its usually 1st song:down to lingerie 2nd song: topless, 3rd song: nude.

In EVERY club Ive worked at this is the norm.

After 30 seconds he bitches that Im not naked yet.
I explain politely that hes welcome to tip, which hurries things up, otherwise its a 15 minute stripTEASE, not a 1 minute strip and 14 minutes of nude dancing.
He gets bitchy so I open the door and point. I buzzed the security and asked them to direct him to a brothel.

He goes and books with another girl, she comes out with a lousy $50 tip, which is damn cheap considering I KNOW what extras she does!

Long story short: how do YOU like/do your private dances?
Theres no sense crying over every mistake,

does this mean he paid you $10 for the private dance?
also.. did you explain to him it goes for 15 minutes when he got bitchy?

He pays a $40 'room hire' fee to the club, they take $20 (no stage fees though, we get PAID to do our stage shows) the govt takes another $7 in tax, so without tips the dances are just what the custie pays for - a noncontact striptease.
Thats why girls do toy shows and offer 1way contact lapdances (we touch custie, but he cant touch) for a tip.

I did tell him that the dance is a 15 minute dance, and asked "what am I supposed to do for the next 14 minutes?" if I just ripped my clothes off the second we entered he room.

I think his real issue was that he
    a) wanted at least a hand job
    and
    b) was a rude jerk

He'd seen me on stage(topless) and then paid for a dance (to the club) and waited 20 minutes for me to collect him for a dance, so he KNEW what he was getting. wanting to see me naked before deciding on a lapdance was just an excuse.

And also once Im naked I dont sit on the custies lap.

I selected "it depends" option. If lapdances are customarily nude in nude club, I expect the dancer to be nude at least by midway through 1st song, ditto for topless in topless club. I recognize & appreciate the shadings & nuances: eg, a skilled dancer who sequentially gets nude by 1:29.9 into 3 minute 1st song can be more appealing than one who gets naked right away, but mechanically goes through the motions.

I can say that for many USA club patrons: If an airshow is desired, go to Blue Angels or Thunderbird website, and find out when they'll be at an air base/station nearest them.

Three (3) dances equals $60; your half is $30. That's the way they do it here. I suppose one could ask for a tease or just a regular lap dance (let's skip the air dance; I saw that onstage). You were underpaid. If mgt allows 'extras', you will always get out-foxed by this customer type. Finally I think the club should pay the government out of their cut, not yours.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

I had to click "other" because I can't take off any clothing during my dances--I can do that in VIP, but only from 6 feet away as a "nude show." I only did the nude show once and I just pulled things aside in the first 5 of the 15 minutes.

^^ That's an ancient law here too from back in the days where 'stripping' WAS actually stripteasing. You couldn't strip naked. Now you can go naked but the ancient strip law remains, and WHOMP there it is!. The LAW is just stupid but no one has the guts to change it, because it's a local law and no one wants to appear to support strip clubs. It makes no sense; it's just the law.

I took my sweet ol' time and stripped slowly. Moved slowly and i was always very close to the customer. Face to face I mean. I was a clean dancer just made it feel intimate no matter where the dance was at. I wanted repeat customers which I got from this method and they loved that I didn't just bop around like a girl at a night club. Every once in a while I would get that one asshole that would complain he couldn't touch or why was I going slower than the younger girl next to me or why the song was so short. But otherwise I think it worked great for me that way. ^_^

Wow, I know it doesn't sound like a lot of $ to most of the dancers on this board, but man I wish exotic dancing in America were more like this.

First let me say that $10 for 15 min of private dancing sucks.

    I voted stripTEASE.

    i voted other.

i have never been to a totally nude bar.

My vips vary a lot. It totally depends on her personality.

forgive me for what i am about to say but you do want me to be honest.

If she is a ditz with no communication skills or just a high hustler or i am just having a bad night finding a good dancer---she must be super hot for me to take her up. Once up she can pretty much get straight to the point to get me as excited as possible. This is my least favorite and very few and far between do i get these.

If she is a seductress--then i want a very very slow dance with a lot more of the eye contact--the kiss tease---and the neck nibble. Normally we will run a few songs then take a break and bullchit get a snack or do a couple of shots...whatever...then back to another dance. This ties as my favorite.

If she is a talker WITH a FUN personality and very little bullchit--then the dance doesnt really matter.. I have had vips where she just sits on my lap facing me and we feed each other drink and bullchit bulk of the time. I find most of the time she initiates any dancing that happens. they always dance--and it is nice that once they have your money they initiate it without being asked even though they do not have to. This is the other favorite of mine.

Now you put both of those together and i am in super hot trouble and putty in her hands for as long as my clip has money in it.

For the DIDNT SEE THAT COMING vips---well the dance really isnt much of a dance now is it. This one is kind of confusing to rate because it really kind of takes away the excitement of the night and the whole fantasy thing but still has its good points.....i am kind of up and down on this one.

Is there some reason why it can't be? I am very slow about losing it all. I take my time. My personal opinion is that burlesque performers are far sexier than most dancers I see, and it's because then are slow and use their costumes to their advantage. I think a lot of men feel the same way, particularly older men. I get tons of compliments on my private dances now that are far better than what I got when I was younger... so I know I'm better.

Thats why we get tips for a 'naughty,up close, x rated show" Most guys will tip another $50-100 for a much better show.

    Okay.

So long as it is customary to tip on top of the base fee. Heh.

If the menu is on the wall and he paid for the cheapest show, give him the cheapest show, and do it your way, cause that's what he's paying you for. If wants more there needs to be cash flow. Nothing gets a stripper naked faster than a fistful of money.

I am doing what I can to make it so and I know you are too. But to be blunt- no I am not so sure it could be. Now that a democrat is in office, the state of the industry will only get worse. How many dancers do you know (or in this forum for that matter) have any kind of dance back ground, take classes, or have any idea what burlesque even is? My point is that the new girls coming in don't seem to understand striptease. They just want to look hot and make $. Sorry to be negative nelly. Someone PROVE ME WRONG!!!!!!!!!!! puulllease?

There are a few. We got into all the bad situation of extras and dirty dances because new girls kept being willing to do more and more. I think the issue here is that we need to snag the new girls right away and teach them why doing it the old way is better than doing dirtier stuff because in the long run it makes everyone less money. If you could get that through the heads of the majority we'd be doing ourselves a huge favor!

I get naked FAST. (nude club). If someone has chosen to get a dance with me and is paying $20 for 3.5 minutes (1 song) of my time (the only other option at my club is a Champagne Room--we don't do table dances or anything), there's no way I'm going to make him wait to see my body. I figure he can watch me on stage if he wants to see me strip slowly.

That's just how I see it though. And I always ask if it's okay with my customer if I get naked right away. Cuz I'm polite like that.

^^^ You could be short changing yourself. With your regulars you will already have an idea of what they like and how many dances they are going to buy. Taking your time losing the clothes with a new guy typically increases the chance that they'll buy more dances because they want to see you up close and personal with as little on as possible. For some of those once you've lost the clothes, they are pretty much done.

The other thing to consider is what type of person you are dancing for. Some will will only want to to see you naked/topless, others want to be close to you, and many of the older ones want a show... like the old burlesque days. Of course, guess which ones also tend to tip better and have more to spend?

I can say from experience that when I learned to slow down and not take off the clothes so fast, my money started to increase. The numbers speak for themselves.

However, I understand it will be different for different dancers. It really depends on you and the clientele you attract.

I hear what you're saying, but in my experience, stripping slowly can totally backfire. Pretty much every time I've tried this, the guy doesn't get a second dance because he knows that the next girl will strip much faster and get on with the private dance. This is a club-specific hustle, though...so I can definitely see your advice working very well elsewhere.

As I said, customer specific actually. You have to evaluate the customer. It's like working at a hamburger stand, some guys are just going to want a good old fashion burger, while others want all the "extras". You need to find out what they want before you try to sell them a specific way or you will lose the customer. It's all about customer service and sales. Plus, sometimes they think that they want something but it's not in the best interest for your business... and you need to evaluate that as well.

This night is gonna end when we're damn well ready for it to be over, worked all week long, and now the music is playing on our time. Yeah we do what we do to get by, and then we need a release!" - Against Me!, "Thrash Unreal"
