Default Help!! Im so Hairy!! :(

My embarassing secret: I am extremely hairy. I know nobodys perfect but I have struggled with my body hair (and hair removal methods) since I was old enough to shave. I have thick black hair (I am a jewess) on my arms, legs, lower back, and even all over my ass (not just crack)

I have tried everything under the sun and have given up wasting my hard earned money on methods that just do not work. I know people should be self accepting but I do work in adult business and I have to have that smooth skin we will all fight for. I currently have gone back to shaving, which leaves me with hineous cuts, and razor burn. I can only shave once a week, by the end I have man legs again.

I am tired of wasting hours of my time removing my body hair, or going to the salon to waste more time money for waxing. I have considered getting this no no! hair removal system by sephora but I have heard mixed reviews, and do not want to hurt myself or cause scarring using a home laser hair removal system.

Before I just give the fuck up and go hersuite (there is a major fetish for hairy girls out there you know), I am considering getting a waxing kit I can use at home. I have been waxed in a salon and I can appreciate not having to shave once a week and worry about stubble every day. I know it is best to go to a professional, but I know you do not need to see one to get professional results from home and IMO it is not worth the money anymore. If I am going to get tortured I will do it to myself thank you! If you can recommend a quality waxing kit I can use at home please help a girl out! I have tried many home wax kits that just dont work, and I need to find one that does. I have also heard sugaring works great too! Any recommendations?

I have always wanted laser hair removal but it is too expensive for me for now, but I am going to do some research and hopefully find a place that will provide free/discounted treatments for clinical study testing. If anyone can recommend a place that does clinical study testing for laser hair removal either in las vegas or la, please let me know.

I am also a website designer so I am considering posting ads on craigslist to trade laser hair removal for a website design/maintenance. I figured I would bring this up here to hopefully find a fellow stripper-webber (licensed to do laser hair removal), who may be intrested in a website for their business and trading services with me.

I have struggled with this all of my life and it has been hard. I cant go another summer with pants on in 100 degree wether here in vegas, or being so self conscious that I do not want to work because of my embarassing hairy butt! Please help!

I wish I had more suggestions- but laser hair removal has been the only thing that worked for me. I'm greek so I totally get your problem... But, if anything worked as well as laser- everyone would do it!

Maybe work on your shaving techniques until you can save up the money for laser? Make sure that you shave LAST while in the shower (soften up hairs) and use a TON of shaving cream. Always use a new or close to new razor to avoid nicks. If I shaved once a week I would be SUPER hairy... Maybe up it to a few times? I know I never dance without shaving my legs first.

I know this isnt helpful and I can understand not liking hair but I'm just saying having to shave once a week is like nothing, I shave my legs pretty much everyday lol or is there a reason you only do it once a week cause I just noticed you said 'I can only shave once a week'

DO NOT WAX AT HOME - I tried it, and it was painful, tortuous agony. Waxing is just something that is very difficult to perform on yourself. If you are determined enough, at least find a friend to help you

When I got laser hair removal, it was only 50 per session, one session every 3-6 weeks. The problem with laser removal is it takes multiple sessions to actually become hairless, although you do see improvement after the first treatment.

I can wax my legs by myself I need to hype myself up abit though lol but doing like sensitive areas makes me nearly cryy! The friend idea is a good one. Be careful if you do decide to wax by yourself if you need some tips feel free to ask

I totally feel you on being hairy. I used to be extremely hirsute as well.

I tried everything from waxing to electrolysis and in the end, NOTHING worked except laser hair removal. I wasted so much money on stuff that didn't work because I always thought laser hair removal would be prohibitively expensive.

It was expensive, but not as bad as I'd feared. I had it on my nips, armpits, bikini line and stomach. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner! I wasted so much time being ashamed of my hairiness that I could've spent flaunting my hot teenaged bod.

Seriously--if there's any way you can make laser hair removal happen, do it!

I've heard some good stuff about Epilators but have never tried. Probably best for legs, arms, though...and cheap, I suppose.

Sorry if this is TMI, but I once had a customer tell me he loved arm hair. And another customer tell me he loved butt hair. (I admit they are not the majority...)

This may be completely off the wall, but I read that spearmint tea retards hair growth. I doubt that there would be any bad side effects if it doesn't help...

These links (provided I posted them correctly) were a few of the first reults of a quick Google search, because I <3 Google...

Good luck w/whatever you decide to do...I worked for years to whiten my skin, because I kept getting dumped for pale redheads and goth chicks, but eventually gave it up and felt better about myself.

Also, I don't know if you were serious about working the fetish angle, but I know a few chicks (non-dancers) who live as au natural as it gets and people are attracted enough to their confidence & personality that guys don't even notice.

Ask your doctor. I know a womn who has this; she was told by her doctor that she had more than usual testosterone for a woman (they all have some, like men have some estogen), and that hormone produces body hair (and often a big sex drive). What I'm thinking here is there are some medicies that inhibit testosterone. This may be completely inappropriate for women, but it's a good question to ask a doctor anyhow.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

As a guy with a hairy back who gets all the "hey why a sweater jokes" all the time. I feel you.

I shave my face near daily and had to deal with cuts, ingrowns, rashes, and infections.

Hopefully I can help you out. I no particular order except as this tumbles out of my brain.

#1 don't shave with soap. This dries out the skin and leaves it unprotected.
#2 Use a shaving cream for sensitive skin with moisturizers in it.
#3 Wash the area first with water as hot as you can stand it to remove dirt, bacteria and to open pores.
#4 Change razors until you find one that suits you. Don't be surprised if you have to rotate through three or four brands. My beard can get "used to" a razor brand and a different brand can cut better for a few weeks.
#5 Rinse the razor after every pass in hot water, and change blades if it snags even a little bit. I personally shave in the shower.
#6If you cut yourself or get razor burn, suck it up and apply alcohol. then a moisturizer.
#7 Don't share razors with anyone.
#8 Use bodywashes especially anti bacterial to wash the areas that are to be shaved, you could carry over bacteria from bar soap.
#9 Don't shave in the bath, shave in the shower. You would be opening up any cuts to the frothy bacterial soup of your bubble time.

Meh. Other than that I wear my hairy back to the beach. Ha!

i second this. i've tried giving myself a brazilian at home and it was a complete and total disaster... i figured it was because i had never waxed myself before and i kept trying and trying to no avail. the home waxing kits are usually crap as well, if you do buy one, stay away (far, far away) from the strips and go for the microwaveable wax-in-a-pot.

btw i also have dark hair and light skin so i feel ya on the 5-o clock shadow pits... i was really self conscious about that for a long time. using a sharp razor and lots of cream helps (i actually use conditioner). i have to shave every other day to look hairless, once a week does not sound like enough!

You could try hair lightener... we have that at boots in england like a pot and makes your arm hair and wherever blonde so less noticable

Lots of women do not like to shave some areas because it tends to stimulate further and coarser hair production.

It's funny that when I use a razor daily to shave my face and neck, that stimulation just makes the hair grow longer. But when I stimulate another part of my body daily, that part does not grow any longer at all.
