    Question Dancing Pregnant?

I'm nineteen weeks pregnant and I plan on dancing through my pregnancy. I'm lucky enough to have a wonderful manager that always tells me how wonderful I look when I'm working and loves diversity in his club. I find alot of men love pregnant women and think that their very sexy. What do you girls think about it?

I know some girls do it. What worries me, is I dont know about your club, but the ones i worked at had very smoky dressing rooms. I would be worried about second hand smoke and what not. I dont know much about pregnancy, but i am pretty sure all that is bad for the baby.

There's really not alot of smoke. The girls at my club work their tails off so there's hardly anyone in the dressing room during hours and the floor isn't smokey. We don't really get alot of smoking customers now that I think of it.

your lucky. there is no smoking on the floor because its illegal in Ohio, but all of the girls come back for smoke breaks in the dressing room which i am not fond of since i quit. In that case...good luck! Itll keep you in shape and if you are making money, good for you!

Wait a second...you mean you are going to be a dancer ALL through the pregnancy? Like, you are going to be 9 months pregnant looking like you swallowed a beach ball and still taking off your clothes in front of custies?

I know girls who've danced up to 4-5 months, and even that was pushing it. Their bodies just grew all out of proportion and to be honest, fat. I mean, it's baby weight, but still fat. Is that a hot look for a stripper? I don't think so. If you came into audition for the job looking like that, I would assume (unless your club has plus-sized entertainers) you would not be hired.

Each club is different and has it's own expectations of girls, but I can tell you that the places I've been to would never let a pregnant girl work (as a dancer) through all 9 months. There are liability reasons as well- think about it: you could hurt yourself at work and then what?

Wouldn't the heels/platforms kill your feet? Supporting the weight of you + baby could be detrimental to your back, posture, and knees.

As long as you are happy and your manager doesn't care, then I guess that's all that matters.

My opinion is that I find it to be just WRONG. You would never see a pregant woman in ANY adult magazines- none in Playboy, none in Penthouse- and there's a reason for that.

Maybe I totally misunderstood the question- and getting way ahead of myself.

NO amount of smoke should be inhaled by the little one in your belly... Even a small amount. It leads to birth defects! There's a reason why every single pack of cigarettes has a surgeon generals warning specifically for pregnant/nursing women!!!!

As someone mentioned earlier, I too have seen women dance into their 3rd and 4th month. But NEVER have I seen one go past that. Those were extreme situations where the girls had nowhere else to go and wanted to save up some money to enjoy and nurture themselves and the little ones they were carrying...

Your body is super busy taking care of your child. You should be taking it easy... Not prancing around in stripper heels, working late hours, and dancing through whole shifts.

    Just my opinion.

I couldn't do it, but that's just me. When I found out I was pregnant, I was almost 5 weeks, and I quit the next day. I just couldn't handle dancing at that point, and wondering if I'd hurt myself or the baby. And the thought of getting close to anyone for a private dance just grossed me out on so many levels.

I'd reconsider unless there were reasons that you absolutely had to.I was lucky enough that I didn't have to work while pregnant...But I'm sure itching to go back now. I'll be cleared to work in a week, lol.

Anyway, if you have to do it, be careful and don't over do it. And make sure to take lots of breaks.

    That's just my two cents.

    Good luck, hun. *hugs*

i've seen girls working until their 8th or 9th month. there really is a market for everything. most of the pregnant girls i worked with made great money. the only thing is, get off the stage rotation after a few months and consider switching to lower shoes. its also good to hear your club isnt very smokey. good luck!

I don't really understand why everyone thinks you have to be thin to be sexy. We have plus sized women at our club and alot of men find pregnant women very attractive. I'm switching to lower shoes, working only three nights a week, having shorter stage time, and shorter hours. I'm lucky to have a very understanding manager and understanding coworkers. Keep in mind there's a market for everything.

It kinda freaked me out to when I first found out I was pregnant. I also took a three month break because I was way too tired in my first three months to work. I have my energy back now and a very lovely and understanding manager and understanding coworkers so I think I should be fine. Thanks for the support! *huggles*

I took a three month break when I started getting too tired to dance. But now that I have my energy back I'm switching to lower shoes, and only working three nights a week with shorter hours and stage time. My manager and coworkers are very wonderful and understanding. Thanks

I knew a girl named Raven who danced throughout her entire pregnancy. She was a beautiful woman and in addition to several regulars she was popular with customers in general. Well even if you won't find an obviously pregnant women in PLAYBOY,there are other erotic magazines that DO feature pregnant women. I'm sure you know some men have a pregnancy fetish . In fact,in my opinion, PLAYBOY has a very specific notion ,even narrow notion of beauty. There are many women who are beautiful who would never fit into the wholesome girl next door type with big breasts, narrow waist, narrow hips mold. And there are men who have a taste for something more exotic. That's why there are other magazines and websites like Suicide Girls,God's Girls,Burning Angels,etc.. It's neither here nor there but in addition to being HUGE WITH CHILD,Raven also sucked her thumb onstage!!! Diversity rules!!! Harlow

I've also known girls who danced all the way up until their last month of pregnancy. However, I would still recommend talking to your doctor about it. Just because someone else does it does not mean it's okay or that your body will handle it the same way theirs did.

It's not my call to make, but since the question was "what do you girls think about it?"...I think it looks absolutely awful, and there's nothing even remotely sexy about a pregnant stripper.

I get that there may be a fetish aspect for some men, but IMHO it has no place in a strip club.

i think for the first few months go for it, but when you get bigger talk to your manager about hostessing or being a door bitch for a while. It's what my club does with pregnant girls. there are guys that tip them heaps because they like the fact a pregnant girl is there.

*cringe* I'm gonna have to agree. I usually stay away from these controversial posts... but I gotta give my opinion on this one.

I don't think it's cool at all to be dancing further along than about 6 months. Looks and the vanity aspect aside.....to me it's just...I don't know. No.

I'm all for it. If you're still making money then obviously the custies like it. I'd say you have to give up the heels though. One of the hormones you get during pregnancy relaxes your muscles and tendons, making you far more susceptible to joint injury. Let us know how it goes. Maybe start a stripperweb pregnancy journal in the off topic lounge.

I hope you have a thick skin because there will be some really nasty comments from customers if you're obviously pregnant. I've worked with pregnant dancers before (only up to about 4 months) but the comments are pretty bad, and many people are so disgusted by the thought of a pregnant woman stripping, they won't hesitate to tell the woman how disgusting she is and what a terrible mother she'll be.

I've seen it and I just hope you have a really, incredibly thick skin because a lot of those insults made me cringe just from hearing them.

I didn't say you had to be thin to be sexy, but in the world of strip clubs- for the most part, you still have to have a good body. There are plenty of plus-sized models (just using them as an example) that are very sucessful, but they aren't FAT. They don't look like Rosanne Bar. Whitney Thomson is a beautiful and healthy size 14, but again, she doesn't look like Mo'Nique (who looks like a cheeseburger with a head).

And yes, there is a niche for everything, but you asked for our opinions- and mine is that a FAT pregnant woman has no business stripping down for money, to dirty old men in a club full of smoke, where a mother can potentially place her fetus AND herself in harms way.

Geez, at least put a sign outside the club entrance:

WARNING! Pregnant women taking off clothes inside. May be YOUR baby! We offer rubber boots in case of water breakage! If it happens on you, we'll give you a free t-shirt saying: "I GOT WET at Billy Bob's Busty House of Babes!"

ha ha! That's kinda funny when I read it back again.

She isn't going to be FAT - she's pregnant! There's a difference. Maybe I'm a little sensitive because I'm pregnant myself, but I do not and will not ever look like Rosanne.

That being said, pregnant can be sexy but it still isn't really a stripper look. And as infuriating as it when guys try to grab boobs and puss, it's going to even more invasive when they start trying to touch your stomach. And offering parenting advice. Or making stupid jokes.

And there's still smoke and heels and falls and stress that aren't healthy for fetus. I'd recommend web camming. A lot of the girls here have had success with it during their pregnancies. Good luck!

Personally I think fat and pregnant are two different things altogether. And as far as the warning sign...I loled so hard I choked on a skittle haha!

haha! Me too...laughed out loud when I read it over and over!

Yes, there is a difference between fat and preggers, but when you are preggers you BECOME FAT with a baby!!! lol

Eww...and some people become fat AND pregnant. I know too many girls who have gained 60-80 pounds! YUCK. That is not a sight I want to see all buck naked!

I keep reading my warning....that really IS funny...
