WWW Book: The Gift of Fear - Thought I'd share :)

Hope this fits in general as I was reading the nice guy or creep? thread and was reminded of this book.

My boyfriend told me about The Gift of Fear and it may be handy for when dealing with others in and out of the club.

It's wonderful because it explores 'The Sixth Sense' our intuition (not ESP), awareness, and little clues we tend to pass up and how to pay attention to them.

The author also points out that when you think it's 'all in your head' it's possibly or probably not!

It can be tough to read but check it out:

    On Amazon for 8 bucks!

I know that book. People are so conditioned to be polite that the rapists are murderers of the world use it to their advantage to lure people into compromising positions. Don't be afraid to be rude for your own safety.

I havn't read the book but in the past 2 years i've realised that first impressions are the ones to go on, there have been a few times where I've thought oh I got him/her all wrong they're actualy ok and then wished I'd stuck with my initial impression becase it was right. I think as we get to know people we become biased as we see other qualities we like and push our other thoughts away when we should still keep them at the front of our minds. I will give the book a go but find it hard to get into books written in American English.
