Default Wondering about preparation of boob job (food)

    Hi everyone,
I tried to find as much as I could on boob jobs, before and after stories, but I couldn't find anything about how you prepared your body for the surgery. Maybe I wan't using the right words.
I know not to drink two weeks before, but I want to know about how in shape I should be. I want to tone up as much as possible before I have to take off to heal.
Did anyone stick to a certain diet, not prepare and didn't gain weight anyway or change your eating habits completely?
I want my body to match the boobs when I go back to work so advice would be really really appreciated.
    Thanks

I cut out caffeine prior to surgery. I also stopped taking vitamins esp. Vitamin E as it acts as a blood thinner, and thin blood means more bruising. I also quit NSAID meds like advil and aspirin. Same reason, to reducing bruising.

My doctor told me to use anti-microbial soap on my torso prior to surgery. I did that for 2 weeks to cut down on the chances of infection. I kept my purell on my at all times at work and constantly used it on my chest the week before surgery.

After surgery I took glutamine and glucosamine to speed healing of soft tissue. Bromalian is used to heal bruises and I got good results with all the bruising gone in about a week. I also took probiotics to counteract the effects of the antibiotics that causes stomach upset.

I drank a ton of water. I made sure I wasn't on any meds (including vitamins) prior to surgery and especially not on any ibuprophen. I wanted to flush my body of toxins and everything. Plus I wanted to keep the bloating to a min. after anethesia. Don't freak if you gain 10lbs right after. It's normal and it will go away.

You should also prep for surgery with food for when you get home. Be prepared with all easy kinds of food. Jello, crackers, gingerale, soups. You may be sick afterwards and want to have foods that will be easy to keep down. Make some things the night before surgery so they will be ready for when you get home.

Is someone going to be taking care of you or there to help you or anything?

I have my guy to be my nurse. He is ready to help and support me through it all.. Thanks for the responses, I have also been asking the girls I work with all that they did and they seemed pretty happy about everything. A few gained a TON on weight, but I think that was more laziness on their part and then the others are their slender selves through it all. That makes me more confident and I am def. drinking tons of water right now, trying to get into the habit before the surgery.

I didn't gain weight as much as I lost a lot of muscle tone. I mean it's hard not to when you can't raise your BP at all for a few weeks. I mean that pretty much forces you to be lazy. It was really, really hard for me not to be able to dance, walk fast, or exercise (not to mention the lack of orgasms! yikes!)

My doc recommended eating lots of fresh pineapple to help with healing, especially the core, which is supposedly where the bulk of the enzyme bromalian that Paris mentioned is found.

Just eat lots of fresh veggies, fruits, quality protein, and healthy fats. Being in shape as much as possible obviously will help you look good and heal better. Having good cardio will allow your body to better heal itself and will should make you feel better throughout the process. Good luck!

You're doctor should give you a list of foods or products and medications to avoid. Most of these will include avoiding any herbal supplements, ibuprofen containing products..and a million other things. You should clear anything you are doing with you're doctor. I was told taking a regular multivitamin was ok, but no megadose vitamin E. I wouldn't go on any special diet before the surgery or take anything...too many of those diet products contain ingredients that can inhibit or enhance the effects of anesthesia, and are therefore not safe to take prior to surgery.
