    Default stripper crafts

anybody have any really cool projects they do to make or modify work outfits/accessories?

i've been wanting to jazz up my shoes for a long time now, and while being dragged off to the fishing store with boyfriend and his friend yesterday, discovered these really cool holographic craft tape strips. i guess they sell them there for the purpose of decorating lures, because they're holographic fish scale, but all i could think when i saw them was that i was going to make some special edition ruby ruckus shoes.

this is how they turned out. the photo quality is totally shitty because it was a camera phone and bad lighting, but you get the idea. i loooooooooooooooooove them.

also, this shoe was originally a plain black ellie "juliette" 6"

They look great Ruby! I was wondering how they'll hold up, I would think if fish can't ruin it then they should make it ok!

my main concern is that the red coloring will rub off, and i'll have parts that are red and then parts that are silver. i guess i can clear coat it if i'm really concerned about it, but we'll just see how it goes i guess.

Great shoes Ruby! I'm not that craft when it comes to stripper stuff...I tend to play it safe...although I wish I had more creativity toward it. Feel free to post ideas! I might have to try your shoe trick!

Question then...I have a bikini top that broke in the front middle - i think a clear plastic circle thing connected each side. I am trying to fix it but want something sparkley instead of just a plastic washer...any recommendations of where to find something like this?

I jazzed up an old pair of clear stilettos with sticky clear and pink gems to hide the scuff marks.

They came out nice and i got compliments at work.

These do eventually wear off.. but its a great temporary fix if you want your old shoes to look nicer until you can afford a fresh pair.

I've taken an old pair of jeans, cut out the butt and made Velcro break-away chaps. I added sequin fabric to legs and fringe to the outseam. I wish I had a photo handy, but that was a few years ago. I'd have to dig around to find the pic.

Here's a pic of me on Halloween a couple of years ago. The beads are christmas tree garland, I made the train out of sequin fabric and feather boas. The bra and panties are just cheap Wal Mart items. I velcroed everything together and hot glued the beads on the outfit. I also made a show girl head dress (you can see that on my profile here).

    Those look great!

Before the stripper platforms I would punch holes along the sides of pumps and add studs with the D rings on them. Then get a piece of short shoelace and string them up so it looked like the laces on a corset only with skin exposed.

My stripper girlfriend and I used to doctor up stuff all the time. Haven't done it in awhile. I'm inspired as I'm getting back into dabbling with jewelry making for fun.

i'd go buy some plastic earrings. see if you can find the thick plastic kind that are like a circle with the center cut out.

like these. use one as a center loop in between the triangles and sew them over so they're attached to it.

i'm not entirely sure i understand your problem, but from the description it sounds like you need something in the center holding the sides together?

I don't add anything to my outfits, but I make a lot of the jewelry I wear at work (esp my earrings)

Great idea! I've been looking at craft stores for stuff and I think simply going to claires or hot topic is going to do the trick! Thank you!!
