    Default Fake bachelor parties?

There have been an overwhelming number of guys coming into the club lately and getting free tours claiming that they're planning bachelor parties. We never see anything of these parties, though, and I'm suspecting that some of these guys are just looking at a free peak at the stage while they get their tour.

Anyone else see a lot of this lately? Was there like a article in Men's mag about how to score a free show by doing this?

This hasn't happened at my club. But I do get a lot of the "oh we wanna hire you for a private party" type thing and than never hearing a word about it. Probably they think they can score my number this way (yeah right) and when I say that they can call the club their game is ruined.

^^^ I've been getting the "do you do -private- parties?" line since I started dancing. In Boston, I just had to say, "yep, just go to the bar and the manager will set it up for you. Make sure to tell them you want me!" But here, I have to say, "nope. don't have the license." I've never done a private party in my career.

These guys, though, I feel like they've just found a way to avoid the cover charge for a quick visit.

I have a friend who still works clubs. She didn't mention this scam, but she mentioned something related she's seeing a lot. Apparently, guys come into the club and ask girls to do bachelor parties. The twist is the dancers have to pay to work these. This is wrong on many levels. Never once would I dance for a bachelor party without getting paid, let alone pay them. Sounds like customers are getting cheaper and cheaper.

^^^ Yes, because dancers allow it. We underestimate our own value too much.

I've not see the bachelor party scam, but that doesn't mean it's not happening. I do see a lot of guys going to Craigslist for cheap dancers, which concerns me because some of the dancers might not have experience and just be young girls needing money and putting themselves into a bad situation.

That is beyond cheap!!! Ridiculous what schemes guys will come up with to see naked chicks. I'm especially irate about cheapskates right now because I just had my worst night to date. Worked from 7:30pm-3am and walked with $48.

It was beyond horrible. My club wasn't charging a cover so all these drunk, cheap spring breakers were sitting at the tip rail, nursing a single beer, not tipping, not buying dances. It was so bad that the house mom told me 5 of the 14 girls on shift didn't make their house fees.

In what universe is it okay to accept a service (our company, our nudity, our witty banter) and NOT PAY A DIME FOR IT? And the whole bachelor party thing is UNACCEPTABLE. Seriously, those guys are basically STEALING for us. When you go to a business and use the product and don't pay for it, that's STEALING.

ughhhh!!!! so pissed. thanks for letting me rant.

Everytime I see an ad and the fee is low (or less) I get concerned. Not only are they often getting hookers (which make legit dancers look bad), they are often getting naive girls who put themselves in danger. When I first started doing parties I charged $150-$175 hour (this was in 1993 and many agencies were charging more). It eventually went up to $220 (or more depending on area). I got that amount no questions asked, and no extras (I brought a bouncer). I'd never dance for a party for $50, for free, or pay. The economy is awful so these guys know they can get away with more and pay less (or pay nothing).

Yes they are stag parties. They can be done at clubs or privately. Apparently the idea is if a dancer pays to work one, they can make a lot in tips. I strongly disagree because the few parties I charged less for I made less in tips. These were mostly parties I took because I was either desperate or because it was someone who knew me as a dancer. This reminds me of very first bachelor party where I got ripped off by a manager who not only didn't pay me, I had to pay a percentage of tips. I never worked for that con artist again. There was a guy here who used to rent rooms for parties, then try to con dancers into performing either free or pay him (I never did). These were rare cases then, but my friend says she sees it all the time now.

I generally hated the bachelor parties at clubs because many of the guys were cheap.

My club doesn't have free tours and most guys just come in solo or with a friend to scope out the place in advanced.

Yeah seriously I've never seen an actual "tour" go down. But that is pretty weird... you'd think one of the guys planning it would already know of a good strip club and not have to tour them like he's never been before.

I've never worked in a club that gave a free tour to ANYONE. You want to come in, you MUST pay a cover charge, no exceptions. And I tend to stay away from bachelor parties b/c there has only been one exception to the nearly invariable cheapskate trend in 6 years of dancing. It seems that they nearly always want a good time for free or too cheaply to be worth my time. That's just been my experience.

No fake bachelor parties yet but I have experienced a TON of "birthdays" that I KNOW are total bullshit.

i've met a lot of guys "doing research" for some future group event, and using that as an excuse to ask for extras, but i don't think they got into the club for free.

i always assume that they're either cops or secret shoppers.

what i tend to see in England is stag parties coming in and most spend alot of money but there is always one group where someone elects themself as head of the group and when they ask the dancers for a discount of dances and get a no they go to the manager and explain how they would spend a fortune if the dance price is cut!, when the manager says no its not possible they go back to the dancers and instad of begging stand firm kind of sulking and say they want a discount or there not having dances only to get a no.
I hate the oh come on its his *insert special event* i just say 'oh wow are you going to buy him a dance as a presnt then x

I had a group come in a few weekends ago celebrating one dudes "Birthday" they were fucking rude and didn't want to pay me for my dance. The head of the group who was paying for everything started going off on me for not "Giving his boy a good dance" then he said that it was fucked up that I got off of his boys lap and came and sat in his to get paid.

I asked him what he expected me to do, after all he was the one paying!!! He then told me since it was his boy's birthday, and NOW ALSO his first time at a strip club (he added that one in at the last minute) that I should have been "nicer" and stayed and hung out on the dudes lap for free for a while and it was wrong for me to ask to be paid for the dance!

Just out of curiosity, did you get paid? And how long did they bitch before finally paying for service rendered?
