    Smiley the feel-good thread!

I am going to start this thread as a place to go when you feel down or sad or are just being hard on yourself!
So everybody, list something you did today/this week/this year that made you feel good about yourself, no matter how big or small.

as for me, just cracked an egg and no shells got into it!

    ok........GO!

Today is an anniversary of something bad in my past, but I'm feeling good!

I just bought the dvd player I've been wanting for ages, because $ has been good this week

I'm rocking out to my Disney music and I don't care who sees

    It's Sunday!

I got some new plants last night that I'm gonna put into their pretty pots today

My puppy has finally just quit barking

    Good day!

Awwwww really? I am touched you should think so. Oh wait? Not me? C'est la vie!

Started my lazy sunday with a hot bath at 7:30 AM, made a breakfast and pillsbury cinnamon rolls.

Then I transcribed all my written logbook hours into a spreadsheet for dissemination with my resumes in April.

    Productive of me.

I watched a video of the police destroying a collection of unlicensed guns brought in by a gun amnesty program. But I doubt that any criminals brought in their working weapons.

    *meltdown*
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

I made twenty pounds of potato cakes for a huge family get together, and raked my grandfather's yard and cleaned up all the leaves.

I'm really glad that I decided to host a birthday party this year! I usually play it down and try to go by unnoticed, but the party was a success, and my friends and neighbors all had a good time, which made me feel loved and special.

I'm SO GLAD I MOVED into a new apartment! My landlord was an asshole I needed to drop from my life.

I'm SO GLAD I QUIT my day job! My boss was an asshole I needed to drop from my life. I don't care that we're in a recession, it doesn't give him the right to harass and abuse his workers.

I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders this year. I also broke up with my boyfriend, even though I still love him a lot. And surprisingly, it's been going better than ever now, because we're still seeing each other, just without the pressure and the stress of being tied down. He's the best (and hottest) ex-boyfriend ever!

i've been watching the Twin Peaks TV Series on DVD, and Agent Cooper gives some good advice: Give yourself a gift everyday! Even if it's something small, like a cup of coffee.

I've had a really productive day at work! Best of all, I'm not even AT work, I work from home. I've been watching Nip/Tuck all day while on the laptop.

I am feeling pretty spiffy. I fell down, recovered - recovered well. Recovered better, with a few snags of minor irritation here and there and now I am fabulous.
Weather is starting to warm. I cleaned my little house, swept the porch and I get to see my boy in the AM. Also contemplating cabbage rolls for supper tomorrow.

    Life is good.

Try an shoot. As a woman you will attend for free. A rifle class for $45 (dirt cheap usually in the hundreds) and the cost of 250 rounds of ammo per day (typically two days).

Here is the with the dates and locations. Special note the 18th and 19th is to be the longest firing line in the world with so many simultaneous classes.

I have been volunteering at the NRA Whittington center for the last two weeks. I have been driving motorgraders, backhoes, dump trucks, and front loaders doing maintenance and repairs to the ranges. Been enjoying the wildlife too. I expect to see some fawns next month among the mule deer and the antelope. Since they are not hunted around the ranges they are unconcerned by gunshots or people stopping to take their pictures. As a matter of fact the antelope will stand on the 1000 yard range during competitions and happily eat prairie grass with bullets whizzing over their heads. The shooters and their targets are on elevated berms and the antelope graze the grass in the valleys between.

    Wheew!

Is this a Richard Gere type clean out or did the Hamster himself just become a little constipated?
