Try Head & Shoulders Shampoo...the classic clean one. Put it on your back in the shower and leave it on for a few min. This has worked wonders for me.
Also, cleaning out your liver helps your body process your hormones better, so maybe try a milk thistle supplement? It seemed to help me also..
Good luck, I know it sucks.

I have had good success with Body Clear Body Wash (the scrub only). Try to scrub it in really well and leave on for as long as possible. The scrub helps to get rid of dead skin cells and the salicylic acid helps to clear existing acne.

I've had good luck with Body Clear Body Wash (not the scrub) as well as regular acne cream.

Have you thought about Accutane? I realize that this is basically a last resort in case other things don't help, but if your acne is hormonal and cystic, it may be the answer. Since you have an IUD, you wouldn't need to take BC while on it (I assume, perhaps incorrectly) but you wouldn't be able to breastfeed.

Try the white vinegar, but it it doesn't work try this.

This is a really obvious answer, but amazingly enough it solves the problem for many women. A lot of times that is simply from your hair products. Try rinsing off your back really well before getting out of the shower (to get off the shampoo/conditioner residue) and keep it off your back as much as possible - especially right after showering. When you aren't working you can put on shirts that fully cover your back or put your hair up so it isn't on your back all the time. Another thing to check is your laundry detergent, it could be a sudden allergy development.

Could you elaborate? I have body acne as well (back, shoulders, chest) and last time I tried body clear it didn't work for me.

    this is what they said:

    1) shower completly

2)soak your loofa or back scrubber in the white vineger

    3) let it sit for a min. ( good time to clean up the vineger wash out ur scrubber)

    4) wash off and get out.

they said it works cause the viniger is a natural bacteria killer. and is easily absorbed into the skin. and already being completly washed before the applying the vinger allows your pours to be open.

Paula's Choice Weightless Treatment with 2% BHA works for me. Other brands that sell AHA (glycolic acid) or BHA (salicylic acid) products would probably work as well. However, stay away from any kind of UV rays when using AHA or BHA products!

    Lightbulb Re: Back acne...

When I first got into the porn industry I went on the BC pill (having been married to a woman previous to that, I didn't need any contraception) and I was one of the 2% or so that has severe reactions to it. My hormones were so completely thrown off I was a mess. I guess the female hormones in the pill caused my body to make more testosterone to counter-act it, and it left me an emotional mess from rage to weepyness, increased hair growth all over my body including my face, everything from anorgasmia, to my inability to lubricate during sex and loss of libido. To top it all off, I had severe male-type hormonal acne, everywhere.

I started correcting the hormonal problem with Spironolactone, originally a diuretic that's prescribed for women with polycystic ovarian syndrome, and also for hormonal acne. I also started using Apple Cider vinegar in a bath for my back acne. Just fill the tub with warm water and add about 2 cups of it to the water. Soak for 10 minutes or so until you're good and relaxed. If your acne is really oily you can even use the vinegar directly on your skin as an astringent before bed.

Between the Spiro and the Vinegar baths my skin improved so dramatically, I could barely believe my eyes - and fast too! I'd do it every night or every other night, and as my skin got better, once a week, then once every other week... Now, I don't have breakouts on my back, just the odd pimple on my face which I zap with my Xeno Mini and it's gone within 4 hours or so.

I know how frustrating acne can be, I've suffered with it since I was a young teenager, and only now, in my late 20's have I finally found a solution that works for me.

Good luck, and don't get discouraged! There is a solution out there that will work for you: you just have to be patient in finding it :-)

Witch hazel once or twice a day and showering as soon as possible after workouts or sweating keeps things under control for me.
