Thumbs up the night my tonalin "kicked" in

We're going to have to get a new "Tonalin" section.

I just wanted to post this for all the ladies that have been taking tonalin and feel like they aren't getting anywhere.

First of all, I take my tonalin religiously. I use various high quality brands but I take anywhere from 4-6,000mg a day.

I also work out religiously and dry brush my skin every time I take a bath.

Anyhow, I've been working out (weight training) for about year since being a recovering vegan (it was not good for me, too much muscle loss) and I was getting frustrated since I felt like I was not getting any results.

I started taking tonalin almost two months ago. A little less. I was just thinking to myself yesterday, "is this stuff working or not?"

No one had mentioned anything about my weight except for my boyfriend, and he's so nice about my body that I just didn't trust him. Also, I'm not about to walk around the dressing room and say "do I look thinner" because I'm already in good shape and I just got my boobs done (best boob job EVAR) and girls at work would have been rolling their eyes right out of their heads.

So then I go to work friday.

I swear EVERY customer commented on how tight and lean and sexy my body was. WAY more than usual. One guy actually told me I had amazing quads. The next guy just wanted to "feel my abs" . It was almost like a fucking joke. Every guy, not regular customers or anything made comments about my muscle tone and skin quality. One of my regulars did come up to the stage and actually commented on how great and tight my skin looked.

and I would also like to add that I have most definately GAINED weight on the scale which I am certain is pure muslce. My legs are becoming very lean and now I know I'm seeing muscle definition and it is not my imagination.

    yay tonalin!!! and kettlebells too.

i was thinking about staring with tonalin, so do you think it would be a good idea to start with that many mgs a day? how many times a day do you take it and what brand do you use?

ive never taken anything other than a muli-v so i dont know much about diet pills.

tonalin is not at all a "diet pill" as far as it has no stimulants or appetite suppressants. it is just healthy fat that helps build lean muscle and reduce body fat.

I used the "normal" dosage but I did try to spread it out through the day, so like two pills in the morning, two in the afternoon two in the evening.

I also eat very well. Lots of lean protein and complex carbs, and I work out a lot. I'm sure that helped but there is no doubt in my mind tonalin gave me that extra edge. I'm more motivated to keep on track because I'm seeing results.

Thanks for posting this, you've inspired me to start taking it again. I was taking it awhile ago for two months straight, and I didn't see any difference, I guess maybe I was too impatient so I stopped taking it. I bought a different brand recently, but it's been sitting in my medicine cabinet.

What brand did you use? I bought some cheap at Trader Joe's 12.99. maybe after that runs out, I'm going to switch brands again.

BTW, sounds like you look fantastic. I would love to get that many compliments in one night. Sadly, I was asked if I recently had a baby.

I just started taking it yesterday, and can't wait to see how it works for me.

I had to go to a few different places before I found it though, because everywhere I went, they were out of it, lol.

Would you mind elaborating on that for me? What does it do? Are you supposed to do it when you take the Tonalin?

I have been contemplating taking it for a while now after reading so much about it here on SW. I have heard about the body brushing too but never from someone who has actually kept up with it.

Also, does it really help with cellulite? I am starting to get it BAD on my legs (it's genetic) and am looking for something that actually works to help reduce it....

Tonalin DOES help with cellulite. I've had a similar experience to Postmodern Cinderella's. I've been taking tonalin for 4 months now--only 4 pills a day--and I'm noticing that my body is like, GRARRR! I'm tight in a way I've never been before, I have definition in my stomach, and I can, for the first time in my life, do a REAL PUSHUP. I've never had that much upper body strength, but last week, I thought, "'I'm going to climb that pole." and I powered up it, right to the top!

I'm not doing anything different w/r/t diet and exercise--so the improvement has definitely got to the the tonalin. And I, too, have gained weight--about 8 pounds. But I have never been in better shape!

    dry skin brushing is AWESOME!!!

I crave dry skin brush in the same way I crave brushing my teeth or showering.

any health food store will have a natural bristelled stiff brush that you use for skin only.

start at the feet and brush up towards the heart in stiff strokes. like brushing a horse.

Yes.. it DOES hurt at first. but you will get used to it in time.

brush up and as hard as you can without damaging skin. especially on legs, thighs and tummy. anywhere you get cellulite.

What the brush does is it stimulates the lymphatic system. the cells open and close dumping toxins out to be cleared away by fresh blood brought to the surface of the skin from brushing.

after doing your whole body, take a hot bath with epsom salts. soak in the salts for at least twenty minutes. drink lots of water during all of this!!!!!

Try as much as you can to not get salt water in you kitty because it can give you yeasties. I really try to keep my vag muscles closed in the bath, because i take so many and I am prone to yeast infections from water.

after soaking if you really want to do something amazing, drain the water and fill it back up COLD.

    This is amazing.

the cold water on your skin will really send your lymphatic cells into overdrive. Helping to flush out fat and toxins. you don't have to do it for long. Just rub it all over your skin. vigorously.
    especially the groin.

the goal is to change skin temp fourty degrees. this is so good for you its sick. you will actually feel a rush of warm fresh blood all over your body when you get out of the tub. it is so invigorating.

I am totally addicted to this style of bathing. my cellulite is gone. GONE.

please google "dry skin brush" and "detox bath" for further information.

It sound weird, but once you try it you might be hooked like me.

But did you have lots of cellulite before? Cause I have like a TON. Can I use a natural bristle hair brush? Do you use any lotions or anything like that after the bath?

yes i had cellulite on my butt and the back of my thighs.

go to the store and get a brush specifically for skin. Not boar bristelled, I think its something else . It is a flat brush, but softer than boar.

don't get me wrong, this will take time but I bet with tonalin and daily skin brushing ( you dont always have to follow it with a bath) I bet you would start to see results in a few weeks. and it is so good for you.

cellulite is a build up of toxins in the fat cells. at least that's what I believe. you have to live a pretty healthy life too. if you drink and eat crap all day, all the skin brushing in the world won't help.

sometimes I brush my butt while I watch tv too. I love it.

I dry skin brush every day. at least every time I shower or bath. It is recommended before bathing so that toxins that are brought to the surface of the skin can be washed away. I do believe this is true, because I have been brushing for a while, so I am apply very firm pressure.

I am not sure how long the brushes are supposed to last. I've had mine for about two years and I think its fine. the bristles have bent to one side, (the direction I brush) a tiny bit, but I don't think its going to affect the quality of my brushing.

if I brush without showering or bathing, I brush lightly, like how women used to sit in front of mirrors and brush their hair in old commercials. (Its very silly)
this is just my personal preference, and not based on any facts or research.

^^^Post pictures PostModern!!! Of both the tonalin and the brushing improvement. Befores would be nice, but if you don't have any that's okay too.

My cellulite is horrible and I too have been searching for a solution.

On a side note I used CLA for two months solid @ the same dosage you did, but saw no results of any kind. I used swanson brand.

I measured my waist when I started taking Tonalin, and it's been almost 2 weeks now, and I've lost an inch of the pregnancy fat on my waist. I've been exercising too though. *does happy dance*

Wow maybe its time to buy another bottle! Slightly OT but does dry brushing brush away tan? I hate exfoliating too much cuz off comes my hard earned tan.
