Default Ingrown Hairs, Shaving and Bloating!

    Hey all,

so my whole 'area' down there is covered with bumps and shiz at the moment. I guess it's because I epilated for a bit - it resulted in a lot of ingrown hair for me. I have my audition in like 2/3 days (waiting for call tomorrow) so I don't know what I can do to try and improve the situation before then! Does anyone have any good tips on reducing redness, hygene and stuff down there. Can I put some makeup on the red bits - should I apply deoderent (anti-perspirant or not?)? I'm going to work in a Nudie club.

I know I should stop picking at the ingrowns, but some of them get sooo angry.

Also, I'm incredibly BLOATED at the minute. My period is over a week late and I feel SO HEAVY. I had an IUD put in in january so I'm not pregnant, but does anyone have tips on moving gas through. It's REALLY massive belly time at the moment and I can't feel sexy or do anything like this!

Thanks for the tips ladies, you're all amazing! xxxxxx

i'm sorry you are going through all that!!
for the ingrown hairs, use Coochy after shave protection mist.
(they also have a shaving cream that is great - fairly expensive,
but worth it!) i had problems with ingrown hairs until i used this
stuff. you can get this at most sex shops or stripper clothing stores.
for the bloating, i would use papaya extract, a chewable tablet, which you can get at a whole foods or health food store.
    good luck!

In the future you may also want to look into a product called Tend Skin ...

    http://www.tendskin.com/index.htm

I'm sure if you do a search on it you'll find a bunch of threads mentioning it as well.

Here's one thread... (Note: The 2nd poster recommends another product as well)

    Take care.

You might want to see the doctor about the ingrown hairs, it sounds like you might have a lot of them.

Yes, you can use makeup to cover up the spots. Go to the store and look for the liquid cover sticks with green on one end and neutral/skin toned on the other. Apply the green, then the skin and put some powder over the area to set it and blend it in.

You could also try using some DermaBlend.

You really can't use the deodorant and makeup together (it will rub off the makeup a bit) so you'll need to pick which one is more important to you.

Bananas can help a bit with the bloating, and drink tons of water.

Crunches and the bicycle move seem to help in passing the gas through.

Self massage of the abdomen REALLY helps, just be sure to ALWAYS massage your tummy in a clockwise direction, or you can make yourself sick.

I had my iud inserted in October. I have the Mirena. The bloating was much less after several months.

I've discovered face creme is really good for the spots.

I always put Ban deodorant on my bikini line... Keeps it smelling good, and cuts down on ingrowns. Coochy after shave spray is good, but it just stung too much for me.... Have you tried using hair conditioner to shave? That was one of the most helpful things I ever started doing, it gives you a much better shave and moisturizes your legs.... Pantene or stuff like that works.

    No clue on bloating, though.
