I really don't have many options in which clubs I can work at right now. There are a few really good ones in my city, but dancing in my hometown isn't an option, lol.
So I found one particular club 1 hour away that I've seen a few reviews about on various sources on the internet. But here's what has me a teeny bit hesitant from when I called over the phone:
The manager said that they charge a house fee of 25%. That seems a bit outrageous to me. Or is that normal?
The club is an all-Nude club. But I did ask if the dancers had the option of dancing Topless only since that's what I want, and he said they can dance topless on stage. Does that mean that on the floor I have to be nude? Do the lapdances have to be nude? Do clubs even monitor lapdances? Or else how would they know.
This club is in Texas and I've heard that a lot of clubs are high mileage. I've never danced before and really just want to get my feet wet and get the hang of this industry before jumping head first into a larger club in a larger city. I'll save that for later and after I've saved up some money for the move?
I would appreciate any opinions or advice just based on the club info I have provided. This pretty much sounds like my best bet at the moment other than another club that is 2 hours away vs 1.
Is 25% too high? Will being topless in a Nude club hurt my earnings, or will it make me stand out? What do ya'll think?
PS- Also, I asked about the audition process. He basically said that I could just come in and ask to speak with the manager (him), and he'll talk to me, go over some rules, and if he likes me he'll give me an application. Is that usually the way it's done? I know beggars can't be choosers at this point, and I'm just excited to get started and see if stripping is really for me, but I also don't want to have a horrible experience because I chose a shady club and end up in a worse situation, you know?
Again, thanks in advance for any comments!!! Everyone's input is appreciated!!!![]()
