It's not a scam. Nakita Kash runs it. It wasn't my cup of tea because all the Tampa clubs were way too slow for my taste. Good luck

It's not a scam. There are plenty of dancers who can give you a reference on the agency.

There is still a few parts that confuse me. I have to fly to Tampa for an interview no matter what? Out of MY pocket? Then what? Im not a feature dancer, I am just a house girl, so can I still get booked through your agency? And what does that cost? Like say I have to fly to Wyoming or something, do I pay? Does your agency pay? Im so lost.

This is how Traveling Entertainers works. Continental Theatrical and A-List Features agencies have combined forces to find you establishments to book you to work. With a roster of over 400 clubs they are the reason Traveling Entertainers exists. However, I am your agent and I do all the work once a club has been designated with interested in booking TE's (a HOUSE DANCER booking agency). I do need to be compensated for my time since living in this world isn't free. Since I would never pass the cost on to you, we get a fee for each shift you work at a club- paid directly by the club.

Many of you have asked why a club would do this and honestly there are many answers. Here are a few: need american girls, need reliable girls, need more girls, need prettier girls...etc. Since I am the head of Traveling Entertainers, I am responsible for the girls being booked. The way I have been comfortable taking on this responsibility is by meeting everyone of you in person. This is meant to weed out any entertainers who aren't really serious about traveling, girls who are irresponsible/unreliable, to make sure you look like your pictures, and generally gives me the opportunity to get to know you so that I pair you up with appropriate clubs. Since I meet everyone in person, the clubs are more enthusiastic about booking you because I am a 15 year veteran of this industry and hold a good reputation. I hope you understand that there is a very big trust factor that goes into booking a TE due to the expense the club incurs (travel, accommodations & agency fees). I believe my clubs trust me because of my methods.

Before filling out a contact form at www.TravelingEntertainers.com- ask yourself the following questions:

    1) Do I like being an exotic dancer?
    2) Do I like traveling?
    3) Am I a responsible person?
    4) Am I capable of others trusting me?
    5) Do I understand the business of gentlemen's clubs?

If any of the answers to these questions are no, then you may want to think twice about applying. Don't let #5 keep you from applying. I always provide sales and/or dance training during your introduction to the agency. Just notify me that you have some areas to work on because when you meet us, I will assess what your strengths are and we can build upon that!

echomadison: I am not sure about #3 for you because you seem to have time to reply to SW threads, but not to return any of the phone calls I have made to you on the following dates:

    3/23/09
    3/31/09
    4/3/09
    4/11/09
    5/7/09
5/20/09...yes, I kept track- that's part of being a biz owner. All aspects and questions about TE are answered very easy over the phone, and yes- in person!

Hope all that helps clearing things up?

I work 30 hours a week, and have plenty money left over. I do not work 24/7 so I do have free time.

Why do people think dancers dont have responsibities??

Im not a business owner but also I would not think it would be smart to be a bitch or a smart ass to people that you rely on to keep your business running.

???HUH??? I guess you didn't see that was for echomadison? I don't know who you are babybambi08. I wouldn't know if you put in an application on the site so that definitely wasn't for you.

I was being a bit bitchy, but I won't apologize for it. Time is money ppl! Seriously, all the questions she asked in her post would have been answered 2 months ago if she returned a call- that's all.

I apologize if I got off topic!

If people aren't calling back after my third attempt, and I'm not already tied in with them, I generally don't bother calling again. They are unreliable, and who wants to struggle dealing with that in the future?

As for flying down and meeting, well - would you stick your neck out for someone you didn't know? There are tons of new dancers each year. Some of us have been around the block long enough that we know each other, even if only online, and we know from other professionals who is professional and who is not. I don't know most of the dancers on here any more than I know the clerks at the grocery store. I wouldn't pay for their flight to FL, if they want to be taken seriously they need to show some initiative and do their own research to find out which professionals to deal with AND make a point of showing effort to that person. You know what regular professionals in the corporate world do with they have an interview in another state with a company considering many applicants? They generally book their own flights for the interview... without expecting the job, but hoping for it. Just be smart about it. Get your flight, book your hotel room or at least have a confirmation number, do your job/interview and leave. Besides, what's the worst that can happen? You have to work in FL for a week because you don't have money to go home? Boo hoo - work a night and bus it back! It's just not that tough.

Ugh... to think that I moved across the country at 19 on my own accord, arranged for an apartment, and got a job at a club the day after I arrived - and some of you can't even figure out how to interview! Amazing - totally amazing.

You could, but why? If you book yourself you pay the flight both ways and the hotel. Why not book through the agency and let the club pay part of your air fare and hotel if possible? It's not going to cost you anything.

^^^ I've worked with the girl Nakita is talking about and she is an amazing dancer! So I can say for sure that Nakita does place dancers of all races at clubs.

just highlighting, imo, a very valid reason why NC needs to interview you IN PERSON let's just say that i know from a good reliable source how someone photoshopped/airbrushed/well photographed/great make up artist/hair picture can make someone to appear to be a completely different person.

also, when you turn up to the interview: are you going to turn up with no make up, no hint or every try of tan (if you're skin is able to as such), hair undone, in sweats ?

And anyone who works in a club and does NOT think they are a business owner: you are sorely mistaken. You are. Failing to plan is planning to fail
