    Default Medusa Make-up

I am a total make up Newbie, so I was asking around at my club what some of the other girls wear. Most of them said MAC. While I was looking around on the interwebz, I kept running across a different brand called Medusa. Anyone use it or know some one who does? its like half the price of MAC so I'm a little skepitical.
When it comes down to it, I'll let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, then I'm already better then them.

I haven't heard of it, but I will say you get what you pay for. My make-up is all MAC or Chanel. Remember, you're selling your looks here, don't cheap out. Doesn't mean you have to buy a ton, but you don't want to wreck your skin bc of shitty make-up.

If you are going to shell out on anything. Buy awesome make-up brushes. I don't know how many times I have to tell people the powers of a proper make-up brush.

I've never heard of that... ever. I wear MaxFactor pan stick foundation for my everyday wear - including at the club. It stays on for a long time. I use a variety of different eye shadows/blushes/lip stains. Really, as long as no one is taking photos of you then your foundation/makeup is totally up to you and what you prefer.

A lot of girls do wear Mac, but it tends to be pretty heavy in my opinion. Smash Box is also another good brand.

Dem, I've been told about the brushes and am in the process of finding those too . Got any suggestions?

Here is the link to the Medusa web site http://www.medusasmakeup.com/ . Its the eye make-up I'm interested in. I want to be able to create the really bright stand out looks. Does anyone know the difference between the eye dusts and eye shadows?

I use Sephora brand, Stila and Mac brushes. I actually barely use Mac. I feel like I need to take a number at the counter and don't get the kind of customer service that I want. I use a lot of Stila and Benefit.

If you are just starting off with makeup get awesome brushes and super pigment eyeshadows since you want the colourful look. You don't NEED to buy all one brand of make-up. I used to use an eyeshadow from covergirl that I picked up at CVS on a whim and EVERYBODY always loved it. MAC girls kept asking me what colour it was.

Urban Decay is my #1 makeup for work, especially for my eyes. And I use a combination of Smashbox and Bare Minerals for my foundation. And ditto about the brush thing.

yeah can anyone recommend a good primer? i went in target the other day looking for it and didn't find a thing.

i'm pretty new to makeup too. i've been practicing w/ you tube tutorials, especially for a really glam smoky eye, and one thing i noticed is that my eyeshadow is never as dark as it is in tutorials. so i'm thinking primer is worth it. and maybe i'll start buying the more expensive stuff when i get a little better at it all

I highly recommend Urban Decay Primer Potion
I actually really like Smashbox, their Softlights blushers are amazing! I have the big 120 palette from ebay and it is really good quality, very pigmented and every colour ever! MAC eye make-up is fab and u do get your moneys worth! I would suggest buying an eyeshadow a week from them and see how you get on, that way you arent shelling out loads al at once

Urban Decay is my fave for shadows and liners. I also use the Ulta brand shadow. It tends to be shimmery with amazing blendabilty. The color payoff is pretty amazing.
