Default Cracks on side of mouth

Does anyone ever get these cracks on sides of mouth? it's almost like little cuts.. I get these all the time. My dentist told me it's a vitamin b deficiency, so I started taking Vitamin B, they never went away. I spoke to my doctor about it, and he told me it's due to stress. Other people have told me it's due to too much yeast.. I'ts been over a year now, and they still keep coming back. I find I didn't get them when I did a cleanse, but I was basically eating nothing on that cleanse.. and I can't maintain that kind of diet.
Sometimes I get little bumps in that area as well. I was talking to this guy the other day, and I noticed he had them too, but I didn't want to bring them up.. I've also noticed this on other people, but I always feel weird about asking them..
anyone ever get this, and know what it is? It's ridiculous. they're almost like open sores.

I started getting that while in grammer school, and then from time to time through my mid 20's. It took a break for 20 years and then I started getting it again about 4 months ago and have had 3 outbreaks since then. I don't remember what I used years ago, but I have tried Neosoporin and athletes foot treatments on it without any success with these recent outbreaks.

I get that alot, especially living in a dry climate or in the wintertime when I lived on the east coast. I have also been told by several people that I sleep with my mouth open sometimes, and it has always seemed to be in conjunction with that. I know it's not a cold sore or herpes (I know for sure 100%) and I've never heard of any kind of vitamin deficiancy causing it.

I asked my aunt about it once and she said it's genetic...she gets it really bad and so did my mom when she was younger.

I did hear too something about it being a yeast-related thing (like from taking antibiotics) and to take acidophilus.

I've had something like that in the corners where my lips meet it cracks sometimes, and I've also heard that it can be from a dry climate. I don't get it very often though so I am not worried about it.
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

I know exactly what that is. I sometimes got them on the sides of my lip or the crease behind my ear when I was younger.. go buy some Tea Tree Oil from a Health food store put it on 2 - 3 x daily just a small amount on top of the 'cut' & it will go away soon !

I had this for over 12 years. Mine cleared up with a prescription ointment for eczema - can't remember what it was called but it was a strong steroid and meant for the body. It was the only thing that worked for me. I have heard that it can also be caused by yeast overgrowth.

Thanks for this info. My doctor would not give me a prescription for it. He told me they will just go away, and it's from stress so try to relax and it will go away, but it keeps recurring, and it sometimes looks like it's infected. I'm going to try the tea tree oil first since I already have that.. if that doesn't work, I'm going to go to a clinic and try and get an rx for nystatin.

I do believe it's an overgrowth of yeast, maybe candida, because I did a detox last year and the cracks went away..
also, I don't know if this is a coincidence, but when I had a sore throat and gargled with cayenne pepper (it works) the cracks also went away.. the cayenne pepper really burned though..

    but they always come back..

If you had a rx for it, did they ever come back?

Ive had the problem really bad this winter. I spent a lot of time searching online and I believe the condition I have is Angular Cheilitis. If you google it you can find pictures as well as a lot of conflicting home remedies.
