Ok, I'm such an idiot.
A while ago I created an email account for the purpose communicating with custies outside of work. I thought about using a fake name to make it and for some petty reason which I can't recall, I didn't. I forgot that when you email someone, it lists your first and last name under sender in their inbox, rather than your email. (at least with stupid yahoo).
Anyways, now he has my actual first and last name. I didn't catch on to this until I noticed he sent me an email asking if "Winter" is my real first name. Then I noticed that my actual name was on the email I sent him.
So now what? The first name I used is actually a shortened version of my legal name, plus its extremely uncommon...so uncommon I thought I could claim its an anagram (http://wordsmith.org/anagram/) if asked about it, and use my stage "real" name...or would that seem like too much of a lie and maybe I should just go ahead and let this one guy know what my real name is?
I feel like such an idiot!
I'm not sure what the worst that can happen is, but in the real world people know my real name all the time and nothing ever becomes of it.
Any advice???
