Duh I accidently gave a customer my real first and last name

    Ok, I'm such an idiot.

A while ago I created an email account for the purpose communicating with custies outside of work. I thought about using a fake name to make it and for some petty reason which I can't recall, I didn't. I forgot that when you email someone, it lists your first and last name under sender in their inbox, rather than your email. (at least with stupid yahoo).

Anyways, now he has my actual first and last name. I didn't catch on to this until I noticed he sent me an email asking if "Winter" is my real first name. Then I noticed that my actual name was on the email I sent him.

So now what? The first name I used is actually a shortened version of my legal name, plus its extremely uncommon...so uncommon I thought I could claim its an anagram (http://wordsmith.org/anagram/) if asked about it, and use my stage "real" name...or would that seem like too much of a lie and maybe I should just go ahead and let this one guy know what my real name is?

I feel like such an idiot!

I'm not sure what the worst that can happen is, but in the real world people know my real name all the time and nothing ever becomes of it.

    Any advice???

o that sucks but i don't think you have much to worry about it only got to one guy. If its just a normal custy he won't make a deal of it or use it to harm you. Just take it AS lesson learned and forget about it.

Tell him you have many stage names. That's the old name u used at another club you danced at. and you didn't bother changing the name.

"I have a few stage names. Winter is the name i used when i danced at ______. I didn't see any point in creating a new email account. So, (Change of subject here)"

Make sure the club is some weird place or far away so he doesn't snoop. And if he asks about that club, tell him u were only there for a few days, and left because of a bad experience and don't want to talk about it.

Don't talk to much about it or its gonna seem like a lie.

lol, atleast thats what i would say....

Try not to be so hard on yourself, this tends to happen to alot of dancers I'm sure over time, just realize that you always have the privlege to deny anything you said before because of the atmosphere you met in and you are not obliged to this guy or anyone other guy just because you work at a strip club , and this also only concerns one guy, just remember you are the one that is always in control of the situation, don't let this guy think he has any power or control because he will sense it and run with it as much as he thinks is possible, if you allow him to.

I agree with Mia - just tell him it's another stage name and change the subject. At some point though you ought to change your e-mail!
