    Angry work rant.

Ok, so tonight I go in. I'm feeling kinda tired, so I get 2 red bull vodkas, tall (i prefer tall, that way they aren't as strong.). As I order the second, the bartender is all, oh don't drink too much.

Flash forward to about 11 pm, 2 drinks later. There's a big group of korean guys that 'have money'. I'd stopped by earlier, asked if I could join them, and they said in a bit. So I came back an hr or so later. I ask if I can join them, they say yes. I sit down, am joking around and say, 'just so you know, sunday is my fun day; i'm feeling sassy and sarcastic tonight.' yeah. a few minutes later, three of the guys get up. I figure they're gonna go take a piss and do some coke or something, since guys never get up at the same time and say they're gonna be right back. Bout 5 minutes later, they come back. Everythings till hunky dorey at this point. A couple of minutes after that, one of the bouncers comes up to me and waves me over. I go over to talk to him. This is how the conversation goes.

Him: How much have you had to drink?
Me: Huh? 4 vodka redbulls since before 8. (it's 11ish now and I hold my liquor very well, btw. I've got a buzz going, maybe even tipsy, but no way am I drunk or wasted.)
Him: Well, we just got a customer complaint that you were wasted. I'm not gonna say who it is, but I'm letting you know. And don't ask who it is, I'm not going to tell you. Don't get upset, though.
Me: Um, ok..... Was it someone I sat with recently?
    Him: Yes.
    Me: Was it a group?
Him: Yes. Don't get upset, though.

Ok, so this leaves it down to a group of 3 ppl that were wasted off their asses and buying me drinks, or the korean guys. I'm guessing the korean guys of which 3 hopped up after I was joking with them for 2 minutes.

Yeah. I find this really ridiculous, especially since after that I make a point to only drink water, whereas at least 2 girls procede to get shitfaced. AND the bouncer that says this to me ends up being highly disrespectful, making me stand around for several minutes in street clothes while I am waiting to get walked out. I really also am offended due to not only how he handled the situation, but by the fact that the other bouncer knows that although I get tipsy, I tend to be silly and fun. I'm one of his 'girls', in fact. (Since most of you guys aren't in the industry, all bouncers and managers have 'girls'. They're the ones that they like, and try to hook up or ask to come in if there aren't enough girls. Quite a handy thing to be, not to mention they tend to be more protective and helpful.)

Now, I know I was a little tipsy when I sat with those guys. But I also know that I didn't say a DAMN thing that was even offensive, or act like I was shitfaced. I also am pissed off at how the whole situation was handled. I understand that the bouncer is new-ish, but for chrissake, I've been involved in this industry for nearly 5 years, and I've NEVER had something like this happen. I understand I have a sense of humor that might not be for everyone, but this was insane.

I really don't mean to sound racist, but being an Asian Studies minor, I know that they tend to view women as being subservient. In fact, one of my buddies lives in Japan, and if a guy bumps into her in the train, she gets a dirty look for not apologizing.

Am I completely blowing things out of proportion by taking this in the wrong way, or do you guys agree? I mean, I was making these guys crack up. I've been dancing for 5 years, and I've never had this happen. What do you think?

I don't know--the whole thing sounds really weird to me. It seems like you had a good vibe with the guys, so it's odd that they would complain about you. Maybe the complaint came from somebody else?

At any rate, it is annoying, but ultimately it is not that big of a deal. People who decide they don't like you will make up any excuse to try to get to you. I had something similar happen this weekend--another stripper and I were entertaining a bachelor party, when one of the guys told the other stripper that she should check my bag and make sure I'm not stealing from her.

Luckily, that stripper is my good friend, and she put him in his place for groundlessly accusing me. But why would he even want to make up a lie like that in the first place? I have no idea.

Just chalk it up to an asshole customer and move on.

Yeah, I know. I just was frustrated with it, it sucks when you get along with half a group and the other half don't like you. I know it was them and not the other group I sat with, because if someone from the 3 person group would have complained.... Well, the chick there was trashed. And I got along great with them, too!

I'm mostly irritated at the way everything was handled.

I was buzzed the other night, NOT DRUNK or WASTED, sort of like yourself, and I was walking around looking to start up a conversation. I have new shoes, slide-ons, that I am still getting used to. I have always worn ankle strap. Well I was strolling along and this guy was looking at me, so as I approach his chair, I trip and catch myself on a chair, and the chair bumps into a table...so on and so forth. I had just got off stage and was a little sweaty, and when my feet sweat in the clear plastic part of the shoe it gets slippery.

So he's still looking at me, not a bad look but just looking, and I sit down on his lap and say something cute. The guy SHOVES ME off his lap, and says "NO I don't want a dance...you are wasted!"

I didn't waste my time trying to explain to the guy that I wasn't wasted, but what a dick! If you thought I was wasted why would you shove me off your lap....and risk the chance of me falling down again? I said I was sorry but I just wanted some company. He told me to "get lost"

To make it worse, there was a girl sitting with the guy next to him who saw me fall, and all she did was laugh at me all ghetto-like, didn't even ask if I was ok or anything.

Of all the nights I have been plastered off my ass and had a perfect night, why the one night that I have 2 drinks in a span of two hours does this shit happen?

Well, needless to say, I understand.
