Default Foods That Melt Flab Away

I read these tips in Cosmo (I got a free year so why not?) I thought they were great tips and figured they should have their own thread so anyone could read them easily.

Please add any foods you can think of.

*Cinnamon* in anything you eat is supposed to help blood cells get into cells used for endergy so less is stored in fat..
Here are a few tips from the article

*Chili Peppes* are wonder foods that increase body temperature giving your metabolism an extra calerie-burning push

*Chcken and fish* or lean protein like tofu keep your metabolism revving

*Green tea* is a stimulant because of caffeine and can alsohelp burn belly fat

*Yogurt* contain friendly bacteria that may help reduce the amount of fat your body absorbs

*Coffee* kicks up the metabolism, one or two a day is ideal.

ggc: Not a Cosmo reader, but thanks for posting. Some questions/additions:

    1) Would Tabasco Sauce be in same category as Chili Peppers? If so, good, but still cut back on the "all you can eat" hot wings specials.

    2) Would any drink containing caffeine be just as beneficial as coffee?

    3) Timing in ingesting metabolism boosting foods: Seems to me that the best time for such foods/beverages would be that certain time period (1 hr after vigorous exercise) that metabolism would normally slow down.

Let's see... the chili peppers have something called capsaicin in them them and that's what increases the body temp and gives that fiery flavor..

I think yes, on the caffeine because they mentioned the green tea caffeine as well as coffee.. of course this is not coffee filled with sweeteners

I don't know too much about timing, I usually eat after exercising so my body is in full burn mode. I also try to eat when I know that I will be moving around fairly soon later so on couch potato days (like now since I am healing and can barely lift a magazine) I am at least keeping the blood flow going.
