    Question good newbie goal?

ive been really busy and have only worked 3 times since i started. i work dayshift, which was probably a bad idea for me (since the dayshift vibe is SO MUCH different than night shift, at least at my club). but i was thinking and planning for the summer. i make like on average $60 a shift. keep in mind my lapdance/hustle/pole work skills are minimal. heres my plan.

    starting now-end of august
i hope to have saved a minimum of $3000 by sept 1st.
(enough to move out and get started on living in my own appt)

do you think that that is reachable for me? or what are your opinions on that?

OH. PS.- i plan on working more during this time period. both days/nights .

I don't want this to come off sounding wrong, so try not to take offense by it, but I think you need to go in and study Hustle Hut. You really should be making more than $60 per shift, and I'm assuming that is what you are taking home. We all have bad shifts, but if that is your average for three shifts it's not good. I would advise you to pressure your manager to put you on night shift as well, because at $60 per shift you could work a lot of other jobs that aren't so physically demanding. So you might want to try the night shift and see if it is better at your club.

With that said, I don't know where you live, so it's hard to gauge what the potential is for money in your area. If you are not going to school I would say that you should change your schedule so you are dancing 3 or 4 days and then taking a 1 day break, then doing it again. Even if you could get your shift average up to $150/per shift.

First, I'm going to state that I'm not great at math, so you might want to double check this. Anyone could figure this type of thing out though, so you can change the numbers if needed.

Let's say you started doing this on Monday (so you have about 140 days between then and Sept 1), and you were working 3 days and then taking 1 day off making $150 per shift take home. That's $450 for each of your 3 day work periods, times 35 3-day work periods would be $15,750. Of course then it's a matter of you actually saving it rather than spending it - and remember that legally you are suppose to pay taxes with a portion of that too, which can be 24-28% on average for a single person.

Now, let's estimate if you stay at $60 per shift take home, working for 3 days and then taking off for a day. A 3 day work period would yield you $180, multiply that by 35 work periods and you get $6,300.

By contrast if you only work 3 days PER WEEK at $60 per shift you will make $180 per week for 20 work periods, and will have made $3,600.

Pretty much any way you break it down if you save your money rather than spend it, and are a hard worker, you should have $3,000 saved by the time September 1st rolls around.

    Best of luck!

    ^ Good advice.

In my experience, the more money I make, the more money I expect to make for my next shift. Once you start realizing you CAN make more money, you'll FIND more money (as far as earning potential goes). If you set your standards higher, then money tends to find you.

What it comes down to: It's up to YOU to decide if what you're doing is worth your time, emotional sanity, and physical exertion. Is $60 a shift really worth it to you right now?

I'd agree with Kylea. That's a very low amount of money to be earning, even as a newbie. What are other girls in your club earning? Does your club allow for high earnings? Is it even possible to make good money at your current club? You need to ask yourself questions like that to ascertain whether or not you should stay there.

Personally, if I consistently made $60 a shift, I'd go work as a waitress or something instead. I love love love my job, but the money is what ties everything together--it justifies the physical/emotional effects stripping has on me.

I love dancing... but a person could earn that go-go dancing and probably with cam work too if they want to dance. With the latter there would be no chance of inappropriate touching from the customers and if they are jerks you could just disconnect with them! Plus no dealing with bad weather or drama in the clubs, etc.

^ Exactly. One of my favorite things about stripping is that it doesn't really have an earnings ceiling. Obviously this varies from club to club...but still. I get to decide when I work, how hard I work, and the money I receive reflects this. If this weren't the case, I think I'd quickly lose my drive.

^ It just floors me that girls would accept $50-$60 averages. Why wouldn't they get other jobs if they were making that day after day ? Your nights will probably be much better. I don't know what your daily goals earning goals are .... but $3000 saved by Sept. 1 seems really do-able.
