    Default Aloe and Scars

I have done a few searches on here and yahoo and google, but I was still wondering what others have done to stop scarring.
I have angry incisions under the breast, they aren't a week old, so I am not worried just yet, but I want to get ahead before they even think of being permanent angry scars.
I bought an aloe plant and have already applied the slimy meat to the healing cut, I just want to know how others have treated the aloe.
In the past I actually put the slimy part on a bandaid and left it on a wound (this worked perfectly by the way) but this is difficult under the breast.
    My questions:
For Breast implant scras, when did you start applying?
How did use the aloe? chopped, refrigerated...?
How many times a day did you apply?
    How much was used?
    What were the results?
And, if any, did you use anything else? Mederma, Arnica..?
    Thanks everyone..
Please don't lick me, it tickles..

I would love for someone to answer this! I have a scar on my face, a long one down my back from spinal surgery and various scrapes and scars from being an animal lover. I heal slowly and I would love to find out what you guys have done to help heal and reduce scars.

Talk to your doc first. I started using Vit E oil as soon as the stitches were out (I think that was 2 wks) and then switched over to Mederma (I think at 4 wks), applied 3 - 5x's a day and you absolutely can not tell where my incisions were at all. I mean absolutely no visible scarring whatsoever.

I don't recommend Arnica tho, it is more for bruising.

I have just had surgery and this time round im using rosehip oil (Trilogy organic) - it is amazing for surgical scars. After my last op I used bio-oil but it didnt do much. Make sure the incision is closed so it doesnt get infected. Also found surgi-strips really good. I once tried the band-aids for scars - (the ones that say they stop a scab from forming), it was the worst thing I ever did and left a massive scar.
