    Default Removing Black hair colour/dye

I've seen a few posts on here about removing black dye from hair and others have asked so I thought I'd post.
This has happened to me many times and especially if your hair is damaged dye can easily turn black as its being absorbed quicker by the damaged hair. I use a product called Wella Blondor (from Sallys), its a blue powder and comes in small packages. I use about 1/4 of the pack and mix it with 20 volume developer (about 1/2 cup) and I mix a bit of water in with it (few tablespoons), I have a bob. I always start with a weak solution as when I have mixed it strong it dried my hair quite a bit. keep an eye on it as it can lift the colour out really quick, ie 5 mins. I wish I had known about this before!

I got this from the loreal website. It says to add a teaspoon of baking soda and a tablespoon of volume 20 developer to you shampoo. I was correcting a dark brown that came out almost black. I did it with volume 30 developer because I already had it in the house. It got my color closer to what I intended.

But does it fade to a brown or to a faded black? And how light can you fade dyed hair with this product?
Sorry for all the questions I just always wondered about this...

OMG, go to a professional. You will ruin your hair trying to be a home chemist.

My hair is dark brown naturally and with the remover it went to reddish brown so I had to put a colour on, I used Clairol Perfect 10. I've been conditioning it loads with Keratese and its been fine.
