Okay sweety I am a licensed esthetician in the state of Virginia. If you have zits putting vasoline on that area will not be a good idea. SO VASOLINE ON YOUR SKIN PERIOD IS A BAD IDEA!
    2. You heard that girl uses vasoline unless you've seen her putting it on you dont know thats what she has on. I more than sure it's not. If she had on that much vasoline that she glows who ever went up after her would be in need of serious medical attention.
    3. Since you have the time to wipe and secure everything during sets. If/ When you try this make sure you wipe everything down that you touched afterwards.
    4. Have you considered how much of that stuff you would need on to be shiny. Its a good chance you'll break your own neck long before you get started good.
These aren't attacks just something to think about.

Box of Pandora, heres my two cents

I am the self proclaimed body makeup queen! From what you have said, I gather that you want to hide your flaws and at the same time look luminous and glowing. Well, to hide imperfections, nothing comes close to Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs. You can use it anywhere on your body to hide: butt zits, cellulite, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, scars, bruises, etc. Just spray on and blend. Now, to get the glowing look of Vaseline....

I actually love how Vaseline looks, but it doesn't last. Also, it seems IMO unsanitary because all the strip club dirt and grime would just stick to you! Anyways, you can easily fake that look without the greasy mess.

One product I like by Vaseline, is the cocoa butter gel oil

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001ECQ51G

I put it on in the shower after I wash my body so that it "steams" into my skin. I then blot dry with a towel. This will make your skin very glow-y but not greasy.

Also, the Buffy from Lush (of course) will give you the same greasy look minus the mess.

If you really want to look luminous on stage under the lights, try Sally Hansen Airbrush Shimmer on your collarbone, down your arms, between your breasts and down your abs, and down each thigh. This gives a highlighting effect and gives a toned illusion. It's not really shimmer-y or glitter, and has a subtle gold tint so it looks good on tan and pale skin. I've actually had many many dancers stop me and ask what it was I put on my skin. This stuff has a weird consistency, and has a lacquer finish, so it does NOT come off!

    Hope this helps!

You can say that again.. not just on here but men in general. Guys are so damn lame, the only way they can halfway make up for it is by opening their wallets.

Wish- Good, because I didn't see that as an attack.
I don't think she meant to use it to the point of glowing, but just having a sheen.

J.D. Thanks so much. And yeah, the dirt thing seems like it would be a problem.
I did a spot test. At first I was like "this isn't so bad, it soaks in well. I can see it coming off on clothes and a pole, but not the stage." But it just makes it sticky. I get a lot of compliments on how soft my skin is and I'm not about to give that up, even if it would mean more guys just looking and not touching. Should've thought of that since I mainly use it as an adhesive for glitter [no, not at work].

And the reason I mentioned my skin was not because I expected it to take care of/hide that, but that I figured it's one of those things that only looks good on certain skin types, just like how black lights can make certain skin look amazing while others like crap. But thanks for the advice for that ^.~

But I apparently can't even make a joke about some bitch who DOES hurt other girls, intentionally and unintentionally.
And hey, dee-dee-dee: the pole is not the entire stage. Find me a club that fines you for not using the pole.
Christ on a crutch dude! They misunderstood you. I agree their responses were harsh, but think about it- if you got hit by a car and got really hurt, would you want people to make jokes about hitting people with cars? Likely not. Same as if someone gets upset at dead baby jokes because they had a miscarriage. It just isn't funny to them.

Also, in my club, the pole is in the area of the stage where the most patrons sit. Not using that area would cost me tips and look kind of ridiculous.

Look, ultimately using greasy stuff at work is in poor taste. For skin blemishes, my sister uses Cetaphyil cleanser, I'm sure you could use it on body blemishes. It's gentle and recommended by dermatologists. For moisturising, go to Sephora and talk to the skincare ladies in the back and see what they think. Cut out soda and drink exclusively water, and eat a couple avocados a week. Not to sound conceited, bt I eat about 5 of them a week and my skin is soft and absolutely flawless.

Great, now I have a mental image of a female Dr. Manhattan stripping O.o; Beware of the radioactive exotic dancer!
