Default PDX newbie needs some advice, please

I'm not sure if this was put up already, and sorry if it already was.

So, my situation is that I am eighteen, live with my mom, and want to be a dancer. She doesn't want me to, but I want to anyway. (I've already moonlighted a little at a downtown club.) I auditioned at Sassy's but as far as I know, I wasn't hired. (I thought I was, though, since the woman working there had me put down my stage name, number, and desired shifts. I was told I would get a call on Sunday but I never did.)

Now, I plan to audition at safari club and the audition has been scheduled. Basically what I'm asking is-- what is it like to dance there? What should I expect from rockstar, other dancers, etc.? Do they have a pole and should I work on pole dancing skills? I'd also like to know if morning shifts are available, since that would be the best time for me to work. I'm in school at the moment and wouldn't be able to dance more than a couple days a week.

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. I've looked up safari club in the reviews section and couldn't really find anything.

I haven't since I more prefer places closer to where I live. I'd audition at cocktails and dreams, for example, but they don't open until noon

    Thanks, by the way

the only place I know of that truly has a morning shift is jodys bar and grill. otherwise, standard first shift at clubs in portland starts at noon. stay away from cabaret and casa diablo. they are both extras clubs.
