    Question loose 5 lbs in 10 days w/ veggies and colon clense??

    Okay, so i want to loose 5-7 lbs in 10 days... mainly from the tummy.

    I came up with a plan of only eating fruits and vegetables and drinking atleast 2 liters of water every day for ten days. and then drinking this colon cleansing tea every night before bed.

    (I'm also working out with cardio 4 times a week and pole dancing class every day)

    Do you girls think it is possible? Bad idea? Unhealthy?

    sounds like a good idea to me.. I might try it myself. I don't know if you would def. loose 5 to 10,but you never know until you try!

    Only think i'm worried about is the tea. I heard laxatives and colon clenses are a good way to drop alot of water wieght and bloat...but if over done can mess up you intestines.

    The tea says its natural and actually intructs you to drink every night for 2 weeks... but its always nice to get another opinion.

    hmmm. never had it.. have you done a search? I know I read that a bunch of the girls on this site were recommending some type of colon cleanse.

    i did do a search and all i saw was "Master clense" ...which is like lemon juice, and pepper.... not going to work for me...

    hahahaha...

    If you are drinking purge tea, you won't be able to work out. I tried Three Ballerina tea once on the recommendation of my husband and after only one cup I was stuck in the bathroom for hours. Just when I thought I was done, it started all over again. And any vigorous activity only made it worse. The tea also causes cramps and painful gas. I took it before bed and woke up in a lot of pain.

    BUT my husband swears by it and seems to enjoy the occasional shit-fest so do what floats your boat.

    My grandmother actually sent it to me and she takes ALOT of those type of cleansers. She looks great for her age and is really healthy... but i think her body is used to it... which also makes me nervous... i have ate the worst things for so long. And i have been having BM problems lately anyway. I don't want to over do it, but if it helps me shed some quick lbs... then i think i can stick it out for a week.

    will just cleansing for a week do permanent damage to my body? Should i just start with half a cup and work my way up to a full one.

    It really depends. The thing with those cleansers is they can strip the natural mucosa from your intenstines, which is where you absorb most of your nutrients. Also, the average person clears their intenstinal tract about every 3 days. So the myth that theres stuff hangin' out in there is false.

    Veggies will provide you with plenty of fiber to empty your tract, plus give you tons of good nutrients. I am a heavy non-supporter of laxatives, unless you have chronic constipation.

    #1. it's definitely possible, but it'll mostly be water weight, and it'll come back when you start eating normally again. only a couple pounds of the loss will be real.

    #2. don't bother with the tea. those are not good for you. try regular green or white tea, though. eat super clean with lots of fiber...fruits, veggies, slow cook type oatmeal. that'll definitely get things moving. when you wake up, have half a liter of water right then...definitely helps with that. yeah. so does exercise actually.

    Sweetheart, you won't be able to loose 5-7 lbs of fat in 10 days. BUT you'll be able to loose quite a bit of fluid and feel better about yourself.

    1) Skip the tea. There's really no point in buying tea which will dehydrate you, because after the 10 days you'll be putting it right back on.

    2) Protein. I can't stress how important it is to eat properly, and you really can't live on vegetables! After a while the body will go into 'starvation mode' and cling on to the lbs! And protein makes you feel full for longer as well, while vegetables will keep you full for a couple of hours!


    So -

    - Go for a walk before breakfast. 40-60 min, remember to drink a glas or two of water before you go. A cup of black coffee will speed up the fatburning process.

    - Skip the tea but make sure you drink enough (3-4 liters). Drink white tea, hot water with sliced lemon and ginger etc.

    - Eat 6 meals a day! This tricks the body to think that it's getting enough food, and in this way you'll avoid getting into the starvation mode! So eat breakfast (not processed cereal, stick to good old oat porridge w. ½ a fruit or a protein drink), a salad for lunch (still remember the protein, chicken or tuna) and meat and vegetables for dinner (A piece of chicken, beef etc. and steamed vegetables drissled with olive oil). Eat a small snack between eat meal. A snack could be a cup of coffee (no sugar, be careful with milk!) or a piece of fruit.

    Do cardio 4-5 times a week, intervals prefered.

    And get enough fat as well, just 1-2 spoonfuls of olive oil on your lunch and dinner!


    I hope this will work for you, it works really well for me but not two bodies are the same or react in the same way!

    The only time I had results like this was on the Columbian diet. However, after running out and having to go thru cocaine withdrawls, and then regaining 3 of the 6 lbs I lost, I really just gave in to the realization that there isn't an easy way out in which the weight will stay off. Watch what you eat, no carbs 4 hrs before bed, and excersise. If you want to get over a plateau, I'd suggest a cleanse or something, NOT what I did. We're in a recession, coke is too damn expensive, not to mention detrimental as hell to yourself!

    Repeating what I said, though.... Most cleanses are designed for quick loss, but the instant you go back to what you normally eat, it pops the weight back on. I'd only recommend it for breaking a plateau.

    you are not going to lose 5-7 pounds of body fat in 10 days. you would have to burn 17,500 to 24,500 calories more than what your body needs to operate in order to lose that weight. and no matter how healthy the cleanse sounds its not. your body is a miraculous machine that already knows how to cleanse itself. even if you were to kill yourself working out all you are doing is putting your body at a higher risk of injury from the sudden change in exercise regimine and you will be suppressing your immune system. it is NOT healthy to lose more than 1-2 lbs of body fat a week. by doing so you can also cause a hormonal imbalance. also with only eating fruits and veggies, you are getting fiber and vitamins but where's your protein? unless you plan on eating a shit ton of spinach? doing this you can send your body into starvation mode where everything you eat your body will store as body fat instead of using it for fuel.....this is just a small list of negative effects from such an extreme diet.

    lol, thanks for the ideas. I only lasted on that diet for 2 days, so i may try these ideas instead
