    Default various questions

I have read the sticky posts and don't see the answers to these questions so I will ask them. If you have heard them before please be patient with me because I am out of money and have got to make decisions about what to do fast. I am considering becoming a stripper. I think I will number the questions. If anybody knows one question but not others that is okay please answer whatever you can. Thank you very much in advance for your help.

    1. Do strippers report to the government that they work as strippers? Do they pay taxes? Is there any way around the govt knowing you work as a stripper since I don't really want it to come up in a background check for a regular job (computer field) when they look up my former employment.

    2. I have read that strippers sit in guy's laps and you know go back and forth until the guy has an orgasm. How do you keep from getting things like AIDS given that these men I have read at least sometimes get cum on their pants (and thus on you). I know that some sort of undergarment you wear isn't really protection so how do you guys deal with this?

    3. I am not sure if I am good looking enough to strip and since I am getting desperate I have called up places to work as an escort. I know being an escort is not what this site is about but I would guess maybe someone on here knows this question - how do those escort places and the escorts themselves keep from getting busted by cops for prostitution? I read that cops do bust these women. I also read that most of these women are not just doing a date they are having sex.

As you can probably tell by now I am running out of options and considering all kinds of stuff. So much is going through my mind it feels like it is going to explode.

1- Yes. A lot I know don't, but this can be more dangerous/complicated than having "independent entertainer" on your record. Besides, it's illegal to discriminate for previous employment, provided it's legal. Of course that won't stop an employer from saying "you're just not what we're looking for." But really, most "regular" jobs don't do background checks that extensive.

2- Who told you that's the purpose of a lap dance? O_o It's supposed to feel good, but it's not one of those things where your goal is to get the customer off. Though it does happen. I know some girls who give customers condoms to put on under their pants, but this can lead to a lot of problems, including customers thinking they will get more (and not tipping when they don't), other dancers talking shit, and assumptions from management/ undercover authorities. I just pay attention to the customer's reactions and if he's about to cum, I'll tell him to warn me so I can let him finish up in the bathroom. If you don't catch this, the second you feel anything, get up. Your work is done. Make sure to use baby wipes after every dance, and I suggest sanitizer if they do cum, or are particularly dirty/smelly. Who knows how many times they came in their pants without washing them? O_o But sanitizer will burn a bit and is not something you want near your vajayjay so only use it in those cases. I also use a sarong over their lap. It's thin and will soak through quick, but it's also soft so there's less friction and less abrasions (which is the main way you would contract HIV w/out penetration.)

3- Go to the "Other work" board.
Lead me not into temptation. I can find it myself.

    1. Dancers should be reporting their income to the government, some don't though - but that isn't recommended. A person can get into a lot of trouble for tax evasion. Your best bet will be to talk to a tax professional and have them show you how to properly report for your taxes. Unless you plan to work in the financial arena, with children, or for the government then dancing on your background shouldn't be a major issue with a background check.

    2. The point of a lap dance is not to get the customers off, but to tease them. Most places have laws about how long you can be in a customer's lap, and in most places there is a "3 second" rule which is within the legal limits in many places. First off, your chances of picking up AIDS from a lap dance is really low... as in unheard of. I worked for a clinic that helped people with AIDS, HIV and other life threatening illnesses... so I am pretty paranoid and know a lot about that. Just stick to the 3 second rule and don't sit on the customer's lap without a g-string/thong on. Do use the cleansing wipes on yourself down there after giving dances though, since it will help keep your skin fresh.

    3. Dancing isn't just about looks, it's about personality too. A lot of people have pretty wild ideas about what dancers should look like... and most of us don't fit into what they think. Different clubs look for different body types, so go check out your local clubs to see where you fit in. Chances are that if you think you could make money as an escort then you could make money as a dancer! Most of the escort agencies are actually fronts for prostitution. Legally in most places escorts don't have sex with clients, but prostitutes do. Plus, didn't you just say that you were scared of catching AIDS? I've seen prostitutes get AIDS from working, but I've never seen a dancer get AIDS from working.

As for getting busted, first off you are implying there that you are doing something illegal... which is why I brought up prostitution. If you stick to the legal requirements for escorting in your area then you probably won't ever have problems. If however what you are really talking about is prostitution I would say don't get into it... especially in an area where it's not legal. I have seen lives torn apart from prostituting due to STDs, legal battles where prostitutes lost their rights to see their children, and being "black listed" by their family and friends.

Honestly, I would say that you should just give dancing a chance if you need the money bad enough.

Thank you very much for all of that information.

Are you saying that the most time a stripper spends in a guy's lap is three seconds? This is in the United States you are saying they only do it for three seconds max? I know there are different laws for different countries. I thought I read that they stay in his lap and rub on him for an entire song.

Is there something one could put on the forms for the government that would not sound so much like a stripper? Like can it just be "entertainer" or something? Because you see they go over your backgrounds with a fine tooth comb in my field (computers) and I would think they really will see what I had listed as job titles. I mean if there is a way to get that in a background check. They pay for pretty in depth background checks.

I'm having a real hard time not assuming you are baiting, but here it goes.

Wat Kylea is saying is a lap dance does not just consist of rubbing your ass in a guy's lap. Lap dance is generally done while a man sits down, parts is legs, and you stand between his knees. Swivel around a bit, lean in towards him to give him a closer view of your boobs without touching him. Maybe rub your cheek against his. Stand back up, turn around, show him your backside all the while kind of swaying. Then maybe sit on his lap, facing away from him, and for a count of one-two-three rub your butt on his lap, then stand up again and resume moving round. That's what's legal here anyway.

if you only spend three minutes in their laps what are they paying you for? something else you are doing? how much do they pay for that?

my boobs are not that perky I think they need some help there is this special clear tape stuff that amazingly enough you cannot see when I use it and it hikes up my boobs nicely. Do you think the club owners will allow me to use that? And do the guys touch your breasts? I am asking because if they do that much I guess eventually the tape will come off. It will stay on unless one just rubs on them I guess.

You really shouldn't have many problems with the computer stuff unless you are dealing with finances or the public's personal information.

Mediocrity has it right, she gave you a great example of that three second rule, which is what most dancers in the US follow. I'm not sure where you read about basically rubbing it out for the guys... but it's not true.

okay got it as far as what is done gee that sure sounds a lot easier! okay so how much do these guys pay you to do this? Do they just hand you the cash? Does the club pay you any money? Do you dance on the stage also? I can dance as well as you know someone who has not had formal training but dances pretty good but I am not what I would consider a dancer. I mean I could learn it but I am not already practiced at it. I mean as far as a performance on a stage. Do I need to be a real dancer to do this?

Almost all of the dancers will go on stage unless you can pay off the club to keep you off stage, which means you need to be fantastic at selling lap dances so you can afford to pay the clubs off.

Most places probably wouldn't go for you using body tape to perk yourself up since it would be visible. Very few clubs allow touching in the US for legal reasons. You will find some, but the majority have a no touching policy for customers.

In the US lap dances are generally $20 each, and if the customer is nice they will tip you as well.

Is it possible for you to visit a strip club and get a lap dance so you can see what it's all about? That would help clear up some of the confusion and experiencing it will give you a better understanding than reading about it.
Maybe you could visit the club you're thinking of working in so you really know what to expect. :

Thank you very much for the information. I have been thinking about it and I am thinking I may just shy away from stripping. I don't think I am cut out for it. But thank you very much for all of the information, I drove around all day thinking about your statements and it allowed me to decide. I needed to make a choice of what path to follow and I have and now I have peace so thank you very much!

....where do people get all these crazy assumptions from? (shudders) rubbing them off during lap dances?... but yes, good choice on not stripping
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

Here is the link where I read about the grinding and below that is some of what it said.

Full-contact lap dances often involve non-penetrative sex where the stripper may rub her lap or genitalia (if naked) against the patron's.
It has been alleged that club owners, by installing dark private booths and charging dancers steep stage fees, are covertly condoning and encouraging sexual acts between customers and dancers. Than the dancer and client go to a special room, where they have real deep sex. The hump each other and do oral sex. They get very sexy love and get deep into it. They make love.[1][2]

Perfect example of why Wikipedia isn't always accurate. Anyone can edit the entries on that site.

omfg yeah. Dancing on and off the last 5 years and I've NEVER done a lap dance as described in wikipedia. Nor have I worked in a club where management encourages sexual acts. Totally ridiculous. As I said- go to a club and see for yourself if you don't believe what has been said here.
