Default One week in San Francisco?

I am going to be in San Francisco for a week. Does anyone know of any clubs with no schedules that would allow me to work for only a week? How about in the surrounding areas?
I hear the gold club has no schedule, is that true?

Also, someone told me about a card all deja vu girls have that will allow them to work at any deja vu club in the country. Does anyone know about this?

SF is not notorious for being friendly to travelling girls. I doubt any of them would hire you if you said you were only there for a week.

San jose? Santa cruz? What about in central CA?
There arent any clubs like in LA and vegas where they just let you come in whenever you want and dont mind if you're gone for a month?

Id rather not lie and say i live there and then disappear for a month and have them mad at me in case I do ever decide to move to San Francisco, which is why I'd like to work at a no schedule club

Surrounding area the only one I'd work is the Kit Kat Club, and that's in Sunnyvale. I tried the Pink Poodle in San Jose and didn't care for it. I don't think there are any clubs in Santa Cruz.

does the kit kat club have schedules?
how about this. do you know any club you would recommend where i can get hired if i say i live in the city, make okay money but that i wouldnt care to come back to after i flake on my remaining shifts?
i hear good things about gold club and hustler so i probably wouldnt want to do that to them in case i ever come back to san francisco.

Probably not. I mean if you looking for a club to do OK at then shaft, Little Darlings, Garden of Eden and Roaring 20s. Maybe Hungry I. Have you ever worked in SF before, especially nude? You have to have a thick skin, girl.

I am currently in LA, but plan to head to San Fran at the beginning of May. I plan on being there for a month, and then heading on up the coast, month by month, at various cities (Portland ect.). After reading this, would you say it's just better to not mention you're leaving then? Mostly I don't because a lot of clubs I've worked at are oversaturated with girls anyways (and business has dropped), so they aren't too friendly to girls that just wanna work for a week or a month. I've been on the road for about 8 months now, and I'd say I mention I'm only going to be working for a month to about 10% of the places. I don't worry about ever coming back to the cities because if I do, I'll just work at another place or go back and apologize or something. Most clubs are used to girls being flaky anyways and I don't think it's that big of a deal.

So....what clubs do you reccommend in the San Fran area? I have quite a few tattoos and generally like to work at places that don't give me shit for them. I also (obviously) prefer to stay away from gross, seedy dives, although I don't mind if it's a little dingy--I just don't wanna worry about getting crabs or something, lol. I don't give a shit about it being nude or topless--whatever, as long as the clubs good. I wont do bikini because I think it's stupid and I prefer clubs that let you give topless and nude dances, as well as dancing nude or topless onstage, because I feel it's easier to sell in those type of places.

    Thanks for your help!

I have said on this board MANY times that it's best to say you moved to San Francisco to get hired, work a few nights/ a week / whatever and then come up with a story about why you can't work the schedule. They probably won't work with someone for very long who can't be scheduled, BUT you can at least work while you are there . If you were to come back a year later after only working a week ...... a whole different person might hire you back .... or you you could go to another club. I don't know why SF is this way. I am the same way ( a good work ethic ) . I would highly recommend you fib on this one though. Or .... go to a club you aren't heart set on and tell the truth. They will probably shoo you away . Then go to the club you REALLY want, get hired, and just lie.

Maybe if enough people start lying and just make the managers do their silly paperwork, they will become more accomodating ...... yeah right ....

I get so angry at the whole thing even typing this !

Thanks. I can work a schedule for sure, it will just be for one month though. In fact, I generally work 5-6 nights a week when I'm settled in a location, so that won't be a problem at all. And you're totally right about coming back--mostly the management changes so much that it won't be a problem.

You'll be fine. They will make you do a stupid contract. I guess it's good in a way though. It does keep things balanced out in a somewhat reasonable girls to customer ratio.

For sure--I like working in places that just let you come in whenever you want and work a certain number of hours, but it does make the club really swamped with girls sometimes, and other times, only two girls will be there. I am ok with contracting it up, I'm used to it by now. I've probably signed 100+ contracts at clubs all over the country and sometimes only danced for one night, lol. In fact, I think every club except one I've worked at has had contracts. I think there is a clause in most of them that says if the girl doesn't show up for a certain amount of time, that the contract is null and void.

alright so if i have to lie do i need to have a san francisco address?
also, have any of you heard of them turning down girls in person? like maybe theyll say "no you cant unless you live here" over the phone but theyll say "okay we can work with you" in person if they see you are cute and ready to work? or is this just wishful thinking?
also i hear pay outs are high at the gold club? is it worth it? and if i get hired would i be able to work the same night?
Does the crazy horse have schedules?

i can offer up some info on clubs in the sunnyvale/ san jose area...

kit kat club has a VERY strict schedule. you have to fill out a schedule request form the week before...then the schedule for the following week is posted in the DR.

the pink poodle has a set schedule as well. i haven't worked there, but i BELIEVE the girls are paid hourly for the days that they are actually scheduled. but i think girls are allowed to come in if they aren't on the schedule, but would not get hourly pay. not sure how far in advance they schedule dancers

the brass rail has a schedule, but it's more relaxed. in order to work there you must do the "ameture night" wet t-shirt contest on wed nt. then speak with the manager afterwards about scheduling. he usually tells girls to come in the upcomming saturday to see how they like it. not sure how he feels about traveling dancers though.

hiphugger in sunnyvale. never worked there. one of the old bouncers from the brass rail is one of the managers there. he is a little old man named john. he is pretty cool, but im not sure how they schedule girls. it's a VERY small club, and they don't have more than a handful of girls per shift

sporty's/candid club. another smaller club in sunnyvale. only been there once, not sure about there scheduling. i know they DO have a set schedule, but not sure how it works.

    ***hope this helped a little

I had problems getting hired there when I first moved out there. The hiring manager for Deja Vu at the time couldn't understand why I would have moved half way across the country to go to school and dance without already having a job lined up. I was younger back then and just sort of blew it off because in my mind I was a really young dancer in shape and knew I could get hired at any of the clubs. After going back and forth a bit talking to me she finally figured out that I wasn't leaving and put me on schedule for a few of the clubs.

Honestly, you can make REALLY good money over at Eden but you have to learn how to hustle and up sell.

Honestly, it will be a lot easier to get hired if you do have a bay area address, but I'm not sure if they will rule you out entirely if you do not have one. Keep in mind, though, that making up an address is probably not a great idea, as just about every club in SF is a deja vu club which sends out 1099 tax forms at the end of the year for your earnings-you will need to have these and report them on your taxes, as they are sent to the IRS too! If they don't have your real address, you a)wont have these forms sent to you; b)may have your social security number floating around the postal service as it heads to a fake addy. Just to give you a little heads up.

    Good luck!

Gold Club is not all that anyhow, and they charge you $200/shift to be "off schedule". Whatever. I hate clubs that take advantage of women. I know Mitchell Bros has a horrible rep, but I've heard a few times that you can make great money there not doing all the narly shows and extras most of the girls there do. I've always wanted to go see. It's famous anyway. No idea about scheduling though. I have friends working at Husler, not doing great.

For the SF address ......... mail boxes cost a whopping $10 a month .... pm me if you need details. You can also just use your hotel address or something and then say you moved when tax time comes ..... it's really not that complicated. I wish SF was more accomadating to travelers, but it just isn't how the place works.

How much communication is there between the clubs (specifically all of those owned by Deja Vu)? The reason why I ask is that I'm going to be down in SF for a couple of weeks on winter break and I'd like to work somewhere for a couple of weeks and I'll do the whole lying thing and say I just live there (my address is there, anyway), but I want to keep my options open for when I come home for good. That is, if I work at, say, Broadway Showgirls for a couple of weeks then "move away unexpectedly" and want to come back and work at Gold Club, is there any chance that having already being in the Deja Vu system and flaked would be an issue?

^^^ If you are going to do that you are better off staying away from the chain clubs.

In that case, are there any good, non Deja Vu, non full nude clubs?

^ How quickly are you moving and coming back ? I think you could probably work with Deja-vu and then apologize profusely leaving. When you move back, just say " I'm definitely here to stay".

If you don't want to risk that, maybe work at CrazyHorse. It's fully nude and I think it's about the only non-Vu club in the city. I keep meaning to check it out. I did call and the manager said I could work when I'm in town, but that I have to work two slow nights to " earn " a weekend shift. I'm sure that rule is best depending on how hot/polished you are. It might be worth a try. If you do try it, could you let me know how you like CH ? I'm supposed to be retired, but money it tight lately and I'm motivated to go back.

Oh .... I did email Hustler a few days ago and was up front about being a traveler. They actually seemed willing to work with me too, so maybe there is the club as an option for you too.

My friend and I drove to San Francisco last January and they hired us at De Ja Vu. We told them we were just traveling and they still hired us. All we needed was our Social Security Card and ID. It was totally lame though, they had a huge house fee and took at least half of what we made. A lot of girls working as well, and not that busy. Nice club though.. But it was also a juice bar, so topless only. We ended up driving to Santa Barbara and worked at the Spearmint Rhino there, it was okay money, but they also took half of what you made or more... I wasn't too impressed with california.

I'm going to be there for like 2, maybe 3 weeks.
Yeah, I'm not too into full nude, too raunchy for me. Maybe that was just the club I was at and to be fair, I haven't done topless only, yet, so I'm not sure if it will really be any better. So, probably not going do CH.
    I'll look into Hustler, though.
