    Default newie!

hi everyone been reading through the posts im so glad i found this website! i have been seriously thinking about becoming a dancer.

I am in London and there are some really nice clubs like spearmint rhino and stringfellows which i would like to apply to. Has anyone ever heard of these? I would be so nervous for the audition! i know they use poles at the clubs and i wasnt sure whether i should have some pole dancing lessons first as i dont know any of those cool tricks they do! Also, on the website they suggest to wear a dress for the audition which is easily removeable... any ideas what kind of dress? any other advice would be great! thanks x

Generally, nobody expects a newb to do pole tricks on her audition. Just get naked and wiggle around and look like you're having fun.

Go to the strip club first to see what the other girls wear and how they dance. Then copy them.

    good luck!

Yes, winged dinghy is correct. I did some pretty cool pole tricks at my first audition, but its only because I mastered them because I was doing it beforehand to get into shape. Other then that, if you are a newbie at the pole, and the nervousness of an audition you could very well mess up on the pole and hurt yourself

But other then that winged dinghy was correct in saying go to your club and check out what the other girls are doing on the pole, and what they are wearing. Also put on a smile and make sure to have fun on your audition, and I am sure you will do perfectly fine. GOOD LUCK!!

as everyone else says, see what other people are wearing, in general i have never been expected to get naked for an audition. usually they say to at least take your top off though. i wore a string bikini top (that way you can wear it under your clothes as your bra and there is no changing required) and some tiny little booty shorts or something like that, make sure it matches. but also make sure that is what some of the girls at the club are wearing. for me a string bikini is easy to get off and if the bottoms are tie on its easy to get both off. i live in kentcuky, there is a sphearmint rhino here. its a good club, the girls here are bitchy, one reason why i left. but there are bitchy girls everywhere, i doubt its the club, im sure its just the group of girls that happen to be there. dont worry about pole tricks. i did put on my heels(when i first started) and danced sensual , make sure you stay very very slow, in front of the mirror. becuase you will be nervous and you dont want to be thinking about oh i may fall off these heels, i may trip whatever....you will feel better if you have practiced. good luck!!!!
