    Default stretchmarks/blacklight depressed help!

So here is my situation I want to be a dancer by August this year. I gained alot of weight last year and sense December 2008 when I weighed 171 @ 5'5 I decided to start losing weight. I am now 158lbs and I am seeing a diet doctor who is working with me to get back down to 120lbs. My Problem is I have these bright dark red stretchmarks over my belly like I had a baby which I havent and last night I was dancing on my xpole and decided to turn the black light on for the first time and realized when I get close to the blacklight that my belly marks look like a HUGE TATOO OR like someone murdered my stomache ... I am so sad because I have learned moves on the pole and I am doing all that I can to loose the weight and get in shape to dance and I dont know what to do about these stretchmarks. My faded ones dont show in the blacklight but these do and I dont know if they will fade from weightloss or not because they look faded already from weightloss but in the blacklight it is disgusting I am so sad and I dont know if I can afford to get them lazer treated or really what to do!?! Any advice? Right now I am putting Retin A cream on them and lotioning very well hoping they will fade but once they do I am scared they will still be gross looking (sigh)

ive known some girls with some brutal stretch marks... usually if they had a good body it didnt hurt their money. im surprised they show more in the blacklight. you said it was when you got close to the blacklight... does this mean when you were under the light as in light on ceiling or is it more of an arms length distance,...you are probably not going to be arms length from the blacklight ever in a club. Since you said it was worse in the blacklight im imagining your stretchmarks glowing, which doesnt seem likely to me. How are they worse? you said you have "bright dark red" stretchmarks, which seems a bit of an oxymoron. Are the red parts darker? Im guessing from what you have written that you were wayyy too close to the blacklight, because club lights are usually very generous at covering blemishes, especially stretchmarks.

You want to audition in august, this gives a couple months for them to fade. Cocoa butter is pretty good at helping stretchmarks i think. When it comes time to audition, if you are paranoid about your stretchmarks, dont wear 2 pieces. I knew one girl who had a corset type thing that she always kept around her tummy. When dancing she would show her boobs and butt, but not stomach. Are they just marks or does your tummy have that loose skin effect? If it is just the marks, use some foundation to cover them up. They have body makeup too, i have never used it but some earlier posts have suggestions on which body makeups work. If you have that rumply effect (i dont quite know how to describe this) it might go away as your abs tone up.... do some sit ups. One way that i tightened up my abs real quick is when i drive i put the seat back and use my abs to hold myself up. I am too lazy to do sit ups but just from doing this my abs are tigggght.

I would go visit the club sometime closer to your audition and when nobody is looking kind of lift your shirt up so you can see your belly. You will probably discover that your stretchmarks are not as visible as you thought they would be and then you will be more confident when your audition comes.

Thanks for replying. Yeh when I typed bright dark red I thought the same thing oxymoron honestly they are dark red but they are very noticeable, I guess that's what I mean when I say bright. I put the black light close to me in the floor last night and I could still notice them and yes the closer the blacklight was the worse they look. If the blacklight was above me or farther away I think you are right about not being noticeable but when I was at the club I wanted to dance at a few months ago in the lapdance room the blacklight is a little too close for comfort and the dancer made a remark saying my belly looked like it had been scratched by a tiger but maybe she was just refering to them in general not that the blacklight had brought them out, I really cant remember so I guess my best bet would be to go to my club tell them I am considering dancing for them soon and I would like to go back to the lapdance room again and lift up my shirt to see something, I know that sounds silly but it might just give me some peace of mind. Thanks for the good idea until then I guess I will be using the retin a cream to help remove layers of skin in combination with the coco butter lotions. I dont have the sagging skin just my marks have alot of texture. I do however have a belly over my pants problem because I havent lost all my weight yet I am thinking this might create a problem of loose skin when the weight is lost so I am thinking of maybe getting a mini tummy tuck or a little lipo. Thanks for the advice.

I know quite a few girls who use Dermablend to cover up their stretch marks. I would also cocoa butter at night when you get home. May not help that much, but can't hurt either, y'know?

Good for you for losing the weight! I hope you continue to be successful.

You could also try wearing dresses or corsets until the stretch marks fade. Just pull the top down or take your boobs out of the corset when it's time to go topless.

    Congrats on the weight loss!

You are so lucky that yours are in the red stage. That means you still have a chance of getting rid of them completely.Keep using the retin-A.Once they turn white you will be stuck with them forever.I know because I have a million of them lol.I wish someone would have told me that while mines were still red.Goodluck!

Tanning, or getting a spray tan will help cover it too

i agree with wearing a one piece and just showing your boobs and butt. i wish i had advice on how to get rid of them or make them less noticeable but i have the same problem and nothing has worked for me. mine are thin, white, deep and numerous so i dont have much options but if you have the kind that are kinda thicker and red its easier to hide with body makeup or a spray tan, in my opinion.

have you tried sunless tanning? I heard pro tan is good for covering some marks. Whatever is left can be covered with dermablend. To help the dermablend set, spray it with extra hold hair spray.
