If you're going for the classy pinup thing, then don't do tan lines.
Personally, I hate tan lines period. But I think that they're even worse when they're bikini tan lines...
I remember the days I used to revel in having tan lines...So young, so niave...*shudders*
But considering that you do indoor tanning, just do it nude so you don't have to worry about the tan lines.
I've got soul, but I'm not a soldier.
I've seen them both good and bad. When done right, they can certainly be sexy.
Instead of tan lines, you can also play around with tan tattoos.

I don't like them, esp if you have a bikini bottom tan and then wear a thong. I just use lots of sunscreen when outside and then tan inside naked.

no tan lines. i have friends who think they are so sexy but i couldnt disagree more. there is nothing sexy about an outline of what you were wearing at the beach. sometimes the change is so drastic it even looks like you still have clothe on

I only spray tan, but when I am sitting with a guy he sees a girl on stage with tan lines they always tell me they think it is so sexy. One of my regulars says it is like getting to look at something that you should not be looking at (even though you are in a strip club it makes them feel naughty).
Have you ever looked into tan-through swimwear?

I spray tan in the nude. My BF likes it. Personally, I like tan lines on him though. ;-)
Even a skimpy bikini bottom at the beach looks like a granny panty tan in the club. If I do lay out, I hike my bottoms up my crack to skimp it up, and even then its not too cute. But guys seem to disagree so IDK.
I hate them and can't stand tan lines I feel like my skin looks stupid. I have seen some sexy ones but I think it depends on the body type.

I hate tan lines as well. Ugh, they seemed like a trend that was just bad!
Besides, if you are going for a pin-up look you should avoid tan lines.
Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

^ that is too funny.
I fell asleep sunbathing and got a major tan lines that lasted for months. I remember being so afraid to go to work because of it. This was from a regular bikini. But the crazy thing was the guys loved it. So obviously it's a guy thing.

tan lines are gross. and should be avoided at all costs. nothing better than a smooth, EVEN complexion!
I must agree: I never cared for tan lines. They just look... inconsistent. Like vonnistarrr said, an even complexion is better.
But I guess if the guys really do love it that much, maybe that would be worth it?? I couldn't say.
I like G-string tan lines, but nothing on top. I actually think they can make people appear curvier if properly positioned. I used to have tan lines, but don't even bother anymore.
I've only been tanning at a salon twice, but both times I went totally nude. I should've put a bit of sunscreen on my nipples, though.
In general, tan lines from playing outside are very awkward and unattractive to look at. You sometimes switch between swimsuits or have oddly-shaped ones...your straps shift and move during the day. I guess if you were very controlled about your tanning booth tan lines they could look kinda sexy...but still, sort of unappealing to me.
one hangs a hat upon her tit/one carves a cross on her behind/they do not give a shit for wit/the boys i mean are not refined//they come with girls who bite and buck/who cannot read and cannot write/who laugh like they would fall apart/and masturbate with dynamite
I guess I'm the only here that likes tan lines.LOL some guys like them...i'd probably just go to the indoor beds and get the all over (no lines).

Most guys love it, so long as it's not fucking granny panty tanlines anyway. It's almost like see through lingerie or something. The lines accentuate the natural curves. I can see how it wouldn't look quite as good with the gowns, but I still think the guys will mostly like it. After all, it's not haute couture anyway, not a Paris fashion designer opening, even if the upscale clubs do have some very well dressed (and undressed) women.
So if the OP likes going to the beach and gets a little tan line thing going, it would be absurd to worry about it.

Tan lines have been very popular in DC,now not too many girls do it,mostly old school vets. They DO accentuate curves and can make you look more toned, smaller waist, boobs bigger. In my experience, guys love it,but you have to do it the proper way, always tan with the same exact bikini on.
