Thumbs up I start in 2 weeks :)

Im so excited that I start in two weeks. I am trying to work an extra week as a waitress just in case if I make more money as a waitress *is that possible* than a dancer.

Now they said that if I work less than 4 days a week than I have to pay $35 a day to work and if I work less than 2 days a week, than I have to pay $50 a day to work. Is that normal?

    Cant wait to start working!!!!

I've not seen house fees based on the number of days you dance before, so I would say that is abnormal.

I have seen waitresses make more than dancers, but I wouldn't say it's common. Although with the recession who knows.

    Good luck!

Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

I've seen those kinds of incentives before. There's one club in my area, Visions, that has house fees that are $80 if you aren't on the schedule, and $50 if you do put yourself on the schedule.

Barely Legal has no house fee if you're on the schedule, and regular house fees if you do.

So I would say it's normal to have house fees that vary based on the amount of shifts you were. It's definitely a good motivator to get your ass to work!

the club i am starting at works that same way, $60 house fee if you work less than 3 days,
$30 if you work 4 days, $15 if you work 5 days. it is a really fancy club. they have $600 VIP
rooms. but still, i am a little wary of the fees. its the biggest club in the area. we also have
to wear the expensive gowns, so there are a lot of expenses. so, i'm in the same boat. i start
    monday. good luck!

Our club has house fees based on when you come in... 45 by 7, 65 by 7:30, 85 by 8 and after that its 105. If you work more than 4 days and choose to come in extra, you pay no late fees so just get a flat houserate of 45. And if you tend to work more the house mom will often look the other way if you are late. Its pretty standard to encourage girls to come in more.

When you are first starting and depending on where you are might make more as a waitress becasue you have the wage + tips. It might take you a minute to get used to hustling. If you are naturally good at it or are in a location with a fair amount of money, you should make more as a dancer. If you are in a shitty location or are kind of shy, it might take you a couple of weeks before you develop skills to out earn a waitress. Earnings for dancers can have a huge range... there will be nights where some girls walk out with a grand, a few around 500, then a few stragglers who dont even make tip out. Keeping the waitressing job is not a bad idea in case you end up at a bad start.

btw im not trying to discourage you by any means. Things have actually been picking up around here, idk how it is hwere you are. There is definitely more money making potential in dancing than waitressing, but it might take some practice to reach that potential . Most of the girls who do poorly are the ones who sit on their bums all night in the dressing room or with friends at the bar. We had a newbie start at our club last week; she didnt do very well the first night (i think she told me she made like 20$) but the second time i saw her working she seemed to be doing much better at working the customers. There is a learning curve in this business.
