ok first off, dont worry if your pretty or not and all that, there are a ton of girls i have seem that arent pretty and dont even have great bodies but because they are hustlers they bank. second, think about your audition like this: you go to audition, dont do poletricks just dance, slow. i have a hip hop background and it killed me because i was used to moving to every beat in a song andmoving fast. stripping is all about being slow and sensual. also this helped me, think about the audition as practice. even if you go and fall off the stafge, kick a customer in the face, fall down, whatever, you can always dissappear into the woodwork and never come back. or you can go to another club. it is highly unlikely any of that will happen, but thinking of it this way made me more confident and put less pressure on me during the whole process. since you will tell them about your experience level they will know how much to expect, and as many other posters on this site have said, if you do need help you can feel out the girls at the club and see if any would be willing to help you with your hustle, or dancing whatever you feel you need help with. confidence is important though, . also wear something you feel comfortable in and just dance slow, smile and hold good eye contact. you will be fine. goood luck and let us know how you do!

If this is to say that you are living with parents etc. I would strongly recommend talking to them before getting into this industry to avoid drama later on.
As for being nervous, don't worry about it. You really need to ask yourself what is the worst that can go wrong? You fall on your butt in the heels? It's happened to tons of dancers. Someone laughs at your audition? That's happened plenty of times (although they don't laugh out loud) - just practice and go audition again. Really, there's nothing to be scared of.
Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

I started dancing when I was 20 and still living at home... I didn't tell my parents because they are not accepting of the adult industry and I just didn't want to create disappointment. I just told them I was cocktail waitressing and that was that. I also made sure to move out as soon as I could... it's just nicer not having to hide a dancing bag and such.
Don't be nervous! Just pep yourself up.... tell yourself how much money you are going to make and how much fun you are going to have. I was so nervous that I didn't even think I could get up on stage the first time... but two minutes into dancing on stage I felt amazing! You will too! Good luck![]()

i told my parents that i was a receptionist at a 24 hour bail bonds office.
LOL.
to second what everyone else has said, move SLOW. slow slow slow. also, watch some of the other girls onstage, it's a good way to pick up little moves you can do on the floor and stuff.
mi ne think i work a weird shift at a factory

When I started I was still living with my parents. I told them that I was working as a bartender at a night club and that's why my make up was so dramatic. I also left all of my dance clothes and shoes locked in my locker so that a duffle bag wouldn't raise any questions.
