Crossfingers quitting smoking while working at the bar?

have any of you girls quit cold turkey while working at a bar? cigarettes are my other boyfriend, but its killing me, and keeping me back from my workout goals. my endurance is low, my skin is sallow and fine lines are even showing up! i just turned 24! my bf is 37 and can run circles around me, at the gym and elsewhere...so i need to quit..and im working tonight. wish me luck!

    any advice?

p.s., oh and i dont do drugs, or even drink that much anymore since i workout so damn much (hour a day), so that shouldnt be a problem with quitting...

I took Wellbutrin to quit and it was amazing. You have to get a prescription from a doctor but it made quitting really easy. You actually just forget to smoke. I highly recommend.

Drink lots of water to help flush your system.

Is there another friendly co-worker looking to quit who you can buddy up with?

Keep a pack of gum on you to help satisfy a potential oral fixation.

Make a plan to reward yourself for hitting certain milestones. (Pehaps you can use the $$ you would have spent on cigs.)

If you have PCP, than definitely talk to your doctor for help and advice.

    Best of luck.

If you can't win. Make the fellow in front of you break the record.

    thanks!
ive tried chiantix, but i had to quit due to all the nightmares it gave me, woke me up every 2 hrs, every night; dry mouth, ugh almost ALL the side effects!

does wellbutrin have any of the same effects?

it made me feel weird for a few days. had a little trouble sleeping and was really sensitive to noise but that only lasted about 3 or 4 days. My doctor started me on a half dose and increased it to a full dose after a week.
