    Sad Sweating during lapdances

Whenever I do multiple dances, I tend to sweat a lot and although some men find this "hot" (I guess figuratively AND literally), many more (including myself) get kinda grossed out by it. I have to stop every three songs to cool down for a bit, and it sucks, because I feel like if I could keep going I'd get more dances. Of course, if I feel like I WON'T get more dances if I stop, I continue, but I wish I didn't need to stop in the first place.

I don't understand why I get so sweaty. I am in good shape, I work out, I work 5 times a week, and I do multiple dances every shift at work (usually between 30-50 dances a shift). I DO drink a lot of water, but I really don't want to have to dehydrate myself to NOT sweat so badly. I also understand that it's NATURAL to sweat a little--but I'm talking sweat POURING down my back after like 3 dances! And sometimes it doesn't happen as badly--mainly days when they turn on the air higher in the club which makes senese--but for the most part, it's a problem.

I don't really know what to do and it's super super annoying! Anyone have this problem? Any suggestions? I'm almost to the point of putting freaking deodorant all over my back! It's THAT embarrassing!

    i hear ya!!!

that happens to me quite a lot too!!! I don't know how to avoid getting so sweaty, and guys do tell me it's hot... I figured no one likes to dance with someone who's already sweating but if you go to the dressing room for about 5 minutes after doing your dances customers may look at it a bit more acceptable. because you're getting sweaty WHILE dancing for them.

I hate it too believe me!!!!

Glad I'm not the only one with this problem! I was thinking I might have some weird sweating disorder or something, lol. I think guys understand MORE when you sweat while dancing for them, but still, you get sweat all over them and it's gross. I had someone like three days ago get 5 dances from me then go "eww, you sweated all over my shirt!" and then made a huge deal about not wanting to pay me because I somehow, with my sweat, messed up his $500 shirt. Now, he was probably just being a baby and not wanting to pay (5 dances is $200 at my club) but the thing is, I did feel bad for sweating on him, like I feel bad for sweating on every man I end up sweating on.

SO keep on with the replies! Someone has got to have some sort of solution to this problem....

this happens to me as well - not always, but if i'm doing a lot of "demanding" moves or whatever...i do get sweaty. and it's always the forehead first...yuck. use dry-sol - you can get it behind the counter of any pharmacy without a prescription. hope that helps?

what a jerk that guy was!!! I'm 100% sure he was just trying to get out of paying you because it's not like one second you were dry and the next you were pouring...!!! He had to realize you were GETTING sweaty.. if he didn't want to get his stupid shirt dirty he would've asked u to stop dancing as soon as he noticed you getting sweaty.

don't let it get to you...that guy was an asshole!

There's an over-the-counter product you can get, you just have to ask the pharmacist for it, called dry-sol, and it's an anti-perspirant that you use once a week at night before you go to bed. I don't know how healthy it is for you to stop your sweating, but it does work. When I was in highschool I was in the band (yes, I know!) and we had to wear long sleeved white button down shirts, even in the summer. Now, I would get nervous, and on top of that, performing with the bright, hot lights on us, I'd sweat a lot - to the point where my shirt would be soaked under my arms and turn see-through! A friend told me about dry-sol and I went and got it, and it really works! It stung a little because I was using it on my under-arms where I shave, but I might not sting if you put it on the back of your neck or on your back. I have heard celebrities use botox to stop their sweat glands from working for events like awards shows etc. this can't be any worse for you than that? I'm not sure. I suggest asking your pharmacist, they'll know if it will work on your back.

    Good luck!

I call "shenanigans"! The guy was just being an ass. If he was dumb enough to wear a $500 shirt to a contact club AND continue to buy 5 dances than he no longer has any basis for complaint. The legal term would be "reasonable expectation."

If a customer cares about getting purfume, body lotion, glitter, sweat, etc. rubbed on them during a contact dance, than they really shouldn't buy one to begin with. Hell, if you worked in a 3ft+ club and you managed to sweat on someone that would be one thing, but if you're giving contact dances than "caveat emptor."

Honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about the sweat issue. So long as you have BO under control, you'll be fine. Sweating is a common issue, especially for dancers who get pulled into a dance right after coming off a stage set.

On a side note ... I once knew a dancer who would keep a chapagne bucket filled with ice and a small terry cloth towel in the private dance area. When she sold multiple dances (which happened a lot) and needed to cool off, she would do a little ice bath show and rub the ice over herself as part of her dance. Then she would do a sexy pat down, and continue on with her dance. The key wasn't using the ice to cool down, although it did help, but rather to use the melted ice as a convenient excuse to dry herself off.

Just a thought. Best of luck!

Thanks for the replies! I definately will check out that Dry-Sol stuff, and that is a really good idea too, verfolgung! I like that a lot. I do carry around a little towel with me when I'm working just for hygenic reasons, and I do sometimes use it to towel off so having a little bucket of ice (they have those in my club) available in the dance rooms would be perfect!

It's one of those things where it seems like everytime I do a stage set, I always get grabbed to dances, and I never get a break between the stage set and dancing to cool down, plus, I do my best to sell multiple dances and since we don't have a CR or a VIP area (at least on most nights), you basically just have to sell as many dances as possible to make money, and that involves doing multiple, back to back dances. For instance, night before last, I did 40 dances with only 3 breaks in between them! Sucks! I have to be in such good shape to work here....but the thing is, I would take more breaks, but the girls I work with are very competitive and if I stand up to leave to go to the back room to dry off or cool down, a girl will immediately sit with my customer. Hell, if I stand up and walk to the bar, which is a few feet away, a girl will sit down with him. Timing is everything and the first person to get to the customer in this club generally gets the most dances and once you start doing dances, you don't want to let anyone else get in there because a lot of the girls at my club are extras girls and if the guy gets dances from them, they won't want me again because, well, I don't suck dick for money. So I would love to take breaks more often, but if I'm doing less than 10 dances, I just can't because it's not worth the risk. If someone buys like 40-50 dances, then I'm pretty sure they aren't going to be stolen from me by some other girl and by then, most other girls won't even try to steal them.

But yeah, that's why I wanted other advice. I mean, I just can't "cool off" like I could at other places, because at this club, girls swoop in like vultures the SECOND you walk off or quit dancing. It's really ridiculous and it pisses me off a lot, but the management doesn't care, so it's just up to me to be on it all the time and to just play the game the way they do and win. But it does make for some sweaty dances sometimes! LOL.

i have this problem when i take breaks from work and then come back like two weeks later. i suggest not doing 2 for ones. maybe one or 2 in the beginning of the night when its slower, but after that its unnessasary extra work when you could easily use the time to take a break and rest you muscles.

thats just what i do and if im really hot or been dancing alot i dance way slower and it helps plus slow dancing is sexy.

I have a solution for everyone. This is it, people.

Odaban. Odaban.com sells it. It is an antiperspirant that, if applied properly, will literally completely stop sweat from coming out of your pores. It's unbelievably strong and is probably the most effective method short of getting surgery to disconnect your sweat ducts.

I used to assist and work in a glassblowing studio at my school––furnaces blasting out heat from 2000°F flames. I used Odaban and literally was bone dry, to the point of being uncomfortable.

Basically, you apply every night before you go to bed (no strenuous activity after applying!), then once it starts working, you only need to apply once a week.

I am not affiliated with Odaban! It is just a complete miracle that no one seems to really know about except a few people.
