    Default Such soft skin?

Hi everyone, newbie here! I was wondering what the trick you girls use to make your skin soooo soft! My husband and I went to a SC for the first time, and we loved it! I cannot wait to go back again LOL Anyhow just wondering how to get that soft silky skin, thanks so much!

Exfoliate well and then slather on lotion while your skin is still hot from the shower. Make sure to rub it in well, not just let it sit on the skin. I do this after EVERY single shower, whether I'm working or not, than I usually reapply at least once during the day. Takes about 10 min but makes a huge difference in your skin.

It's also the secret to the "Stripper Scent" that we get ask about. VS and Bath & Body Works are my friends.

Exfoliating and a good lotion are key, but even more imortant for me is to stay well hydrated and out of the sun. I haven't suntanned or used tanning beds regularly in years (self-tanner addict) and I can really tell the difference. Actually, I stopped indoor tanning for a couple of months when I got my boobies done and could feel the difference in my skin after just that short of a break..... so I stopped altogether and now my skin is the softest it's ever been.

Oh..... and alcohol can dry out your skin and hair too, which is just another reason for me to moderate my consumption. LOL!

I never use soap. In the shower I mix creamy body wash (like dove) with a regular body lotion. Apply with a loofa mitt or other exfoliating scrub.

After showering I put on body lotion then wait about 15 minutes then apply self tanner.

In the evenings I apply a second layer of body lotion and go to bed. It is also important to drink a lot of water and to get plenty of exercise. Sweating is very good for skin.

In the winter I apply more lotion during the driest months.

I second the lotion after the shower thing, and I eat a lot of avocados. Good saturated fat, and makes your skin amazing. I eat like 5 a week. Not to sound like a conceited jerk, but my skin is flawless, and I attribute it to the avocados, along with a great diet.

I only use Body Shop stuff...I exfoliate every time I shower, and I use their shower creams instead of soap. Soap has lye, which is actually very bad for your skin. I never really used to moisturize anything but my face, but now I use their coconut body butter, and it's phenomenal. I also take really, really good care of my face. I wash it at least twice a day. I always remove my makeup before bed. I cleanse, tone, use a spot treatment for any blemishes, use a skin booster, then pore perfector, then moisturize. And I always get compliments on how soft my skin is. I also never wear body spray or perfume or anything at work, and customers are always telling me, "OMG, you smell so good, what are you wearing?" Always cracks me up.

I don't go tanning. That's it. I don't moisturize unless it's winter, and then only on my shins.

tanning is definitely the devil. Self-tanners are where it's at. I really love the new gradual ones that are just a hint of self tanner with lotion.

And neutrogena body oil while you are still damp from the shower is awesome too. Neutral scent so it won't clash with whatever scent you are wearing.

I started taking tonalin and my skin is so soft that im having a hard time not rubbing myself lol.

I also have this organic body wash that is somehow soap free and moisturizes as it cleans supposedly. I dont quite know how that works but since it keeps my skin hydrated all over.

You sound like my wife and I did last May when we went to a SC which was our first time. We are planning on going again while we are on vacation the end of this month. We both can't wait to go.

I remember this one dance, she was giving me a lapdance and man, was she slippery smooth. She said she just recently had a full body wax job. LOL

I shave with coconut oil, it is solid at room temp, so I let the shower warm it up. When I am done with my shower, I rub coconut oil into my skin *in* the shower, *before* I dry off. Then I pat dry, I don't rub. My skin on it's own is insanely dry (even scaley, ew), but when I do this it is super silky soft and the guys (and girls) always comment on it.

I use home made sugar scrub to exfoliate.

I use only essential oils for scent, that way I smell subtly nice, sans the drying alcohol, and it doesn't rub off on the guys.

Just when I'd thought I'd learned every skin care trick in the book.... solid coconut oil?
I will definitely try that one in the wintertime, sounds like your skin is as dry as mine...... gotta love the alligator skin look! LOL!!
