Default Dancers - What's Your Fantasy?

So, many threads in this forum discuss the SC being a place for male fantasy... But, what about the dancer's fantasy?... What is it?... Obviously, you fantasize meeting custies who will fill your purse with hundred-dollar bills... But, beyond that,... what's your fantasy?... Is it to buy a house, a shiny new sportscar, designer clothes, graduate from college, start a business? What motivates you to come to work each day and put up with jerks and PITAs at the SC?

For the next 18 months to be up asap so I can move into the second phase of my degree where I don't have to do this anymore. Finish my MD. Marry/have a stable relationship with someone of equal earning power so we can build a decent future (may have this but in the early, early phases). Live an awesome, child-free life full of travel, fun and comfort.

I'd also like a house on the coast and one abroad. Nothng fancy, maybe even a vacation condo abroad. And to live in a city again where I don't have to drive. UGH. I HATE DRIVING.

    I'm a pretty simple gal.

I want to make enough money that I will never again have any sleepless nights wondering how on earth I'll be able to pay my rent and utilities. I never want to live paycheck to paycheck again. I want to be able to afford nice things and a vacation every once in awhile. I want to make enough to invest. And I want to dance for a few more years, then get married and be a housewife.

I want to be able to afford all my bills (rent, car, etc) and law school without being 1-200k in debt by the time I am done.

*A clean, safe and comfortable dressing room with plenty of storage.
*Clean restrooms, clean shower in the dressing room unaccessable to male employees.
*Direct stage access from the dressing room.
    *Clean, large comfortable stage.
*Flattering lighting, and a DJ that knows how to put on a light show to match the mood of the stage performance
*A large music library that the dancer has access to
    *Affordable costumes
    *Comfortable shoes
    *Paycheck
    *Major medical and dental plan
    *Vacation and sick leave, paid
*In house hair and makeup person, paid by the club
*In house tanning bed free to the dancers (clean and well maintained)
*A free meal during the shift
*Limit the number of girls on shift
*Security that actually looks after the safety of the dancers and enforces that the customers pay what is owed and follow the rules of the club.
*A club that maintains standards in hiring dancers. Not everyone born with a vagina should be allowed to show it off in public *shudders*

I know, I know, I'm really living in an outrageous fantasy land. But a girl can dream, right?

    I <3 you!

I love this industry. I don't want the regular life - but I do want better clubs, to not have to worry about money, to be loved and to travel!

I'd like to pay off my student loan, save a comfortable amount of money so I don't need to worry about it, and be able to afford to travel and retire early.

My fantasy life just includes having as few financial worries as possible.

As for motivation about why I do this in a stripclub rather than at my 9-5 job, well... more money and I get to make people happy. I have too much empathy for people and I'm a huge people pleaser. So I can dance, make people happy, and then I don't feel so bad about telling them crappy news all day at my 9-5.

I get the nursing, but it's kinda sad that you feel you have to stay in a marriage that you're apparently unhappy in. I don't know your situation, but just seems depressing to me.

I do hope it all works out.

I want to make sure that no matter how long it takes, I feel that I got the most out of my education when I graduate. I want to look back at my last few years of school and feel proud of my accomplishments and happy about what I learned.

Complete my savings goal with my IRA (15000 to go) so I can have a nice solid start to my retirement for when I'm 60+ yrs old. If I start it now and get that full 26000 total in the IRA I am confident that I will feel less pressure to get a job based on pay.

Buy a house in the next few years. One with a yard that my dogs can run around in.

Get another Great Dane mix some day.

    Adopt one or two kids.

Live a long, happy, healthy life.

I'm working on my plan - last thing I need to do is run off with no plan (like Ive done many times before). It's not so bad.

    oh word. good for u.

get the fuck out and don't date customers.

ps. nursing is an altruistic profession and bodes well for you as a person. good for you.

Have you looked into "Physician Assistant"? They are practically doctors that get payed around 100-150K(depending on specialty). They are more in demand too. It would be an extra 1-2 yrs of residency. Just a though. gluck

I have short term and long term career goals. My first step is RN - but the nursing schools here are very competative (500 apps for 30 spots) If I don't get in next fall I need 3 more classes to apply for nursing school through the university with a BSN.... that opens up options of some private nursing schools around here. Either way I hope to be a Nurse Practitioner eventually but that's a long way away so I'm just taking baby steps now!

ya it is hard as hell. And health care is getting harder and harder to get into. im sure you heard about the recent nurse lay-offs here in the bay.

Check out the forum if you havent already. It is a great tool for people interested in Medical, PA, and Nursing school. Lots of docs, students, and professors post there.

wait, why/how on earth are you taking organic chem before regular chem/bio/pysics?

organic-chem(orgo) needs a strong gen-chem and physics understanding. Im not sure how the nursing route works, but I had to take organic-chem(2 sem) in order to satisfy pre-MD requirements. It wasn't too bad for me because i took it towards the end of my physics degree, but I can totally see how taking organic-chem in my first 2 yrs would have been really tough.

    Back to the OP...

I'm living my fantasy. I'm saving 70% of what I make (investing in Roth IRA, etc) for anything I might want to do in the future. I don't really know what I want to do yet (I don't have the stamina to stay in this business), but I sleep well at night knowing that I can financially support myself. Pretty crazy to have been financially independent by the age of 18. I feel like my job is a blessing. I know it won't last forever, but it can help me get to wherever I decide to go.

Honestly, my fantasy isn't to retire when I'm 30 and go live on a beach somewhere. I'd like to figure out whatever it is I want to do professionally and then go with that. Stripping gives me the financial security to be able to take my time and decide my career direction honestly (if I want to go to grad school, I can. Etc.)

    ^ Thank you.

When I first started stripping, I thought my job would give me access to material items (camera equipment, etc.) It does do this. But more importantly, if I'm smart about it, it opens up a whole world of experiences to me. It's a pretty cool feeling...to think of what I can do because of this job.
