not sure where else to post this, please read-
i went to a club in brooklyn im interested in auditioning for. let me say straight off, the dancers were great. it was slow, and when two girls found out i wanted to audition there they came over and started talking about their first nights there. they assured me that most of the girls there are patient, and encouraged me to talk to the house mom. my friend bought a lap dance from one and the girl motioned me to follow her so i could learn how to do one. she refused to accept a tip from me and until i gave up and thanked her.
house mom asked when i could audition and left. the manager asked the same and seemed annoyed when i asked basic questions (do i just need id and clothes? what time does auditioning start? who do i tip?) so i stopped and said i could audition next week. when i asked if it was fine to work only 2 shifts a week he literally scoffed and said all dancers work 4 days a week from 7 until closing. however, the place is listed as being open from 12 pm to 4 am. i called (before i went) to verify age limit at 12 30 pm and they were open!
is it normal for clubs to do this, for example, if they need dancers only at certain times? it didnt make sense to me to pack a ton of girls at night on slow days. i cnt audition because i can only work day shifts for a couple of months, but is it worth bothering? the manager was barely professional. i went to a club in another borough where a dj even took the time to show me the rooms and the security cameras. there i was told i could pick my schedule, but alas, they open at night.
