    Question What Would You Do?

First, I'm not sure if this is in the right forum. Maybe it should be in Newbie forum because I still feel like such a newb! lol. Anyhoo, I'm feeling stuck in my club work right now. There are 3 clubs in my town and I'm thinking about perhaps switching clubs again. Here are my choices:

Club A) Is a complete dive, but when I worked nightshift I made more than I do now. Although I didn't feel as safe and guys were more rough, but overall I can deal with it.

Club B) My current club. I don't make as much money but I definitely feel safer. I'm on dayshift, and unsure if nightshift makes much more $ or not. The couple times I tried nightshift I actually made less, but that could have been several factors... I feel like I'd do better if I just worked harder but I'm honestly not sure if I'm the problem.

Club C) I haven't tried this one yet because frankly it's Deja Vu and I've heard such bad things about all Deja Vus. BUT- they are the only club in town with an actual VIP room!!!! Should I try this club even though it's the dreaded Deja Vu? (But I've also noticed that Deja Vu strippers are starting to come to my current club... so that's probably a red flag )

I wish I could travel but I'm still trying to save up for a car. So until then I kinda feel like I'm stuck with these choices. I'm going to also look into private party work, but not sure what to expect with that. Probably wanna wait 'til I feel more comfortable and in shape because I wouldn't be able to hide in the club lights lmao!

I would stick with B. I'd avoid Deja-vu and even though club A is better money, I feel like you'd get burnt out a little easier on that one. Club B sounds more low key and relaxed and the type of environment where you would rather be in.
Something else to consider is that nightshift guys in general are drunker and more obnoxious than dayshift guys. Have you tried A during the day? I have been doing days lately and when I work a night I am shocked at the crap I have to put up with, even though I worked nights for 3 years before I switched to days.
I also find that working days I can work 4 times a week whereas with nights I'm tired and done after 2. I'd rather make $250 a dayshift nice and relaxed over $400 nights where I can't go on for too long.
Sorry about the tangent but thought more advice was better than less!

How long have you been there though? Usually (for me anyway) Whn I strata new club I do really good (fresh meat) then there's a downturn in my money for a month or two as I get regulars and such and then I do good again (although it really has been a while since I've really danced full time)

I would scope out Deja Vu. Like you, I've avoided clubs in the Deja Vu family after hearing sooo many horror stories. However, I'm thinking about going over to the dark side. One of the advantages to working at a Deja Vu club is that those clubs are huge corporate machines that have the marketing necessary to drive customers in the door. I'm thinking that if I work at a Deja Vu club, I may make MORE money--even with the fees and cuts from lap dances--than if I work in a club with less volume. And any time you work at a club with a VIP room, the money making potential goes way up.

So, if I were you, I'd definitely try Deja Vu. Best case scenario, you'll have a nice new home club. Worst case scenario, you'll have a new horror story to tell on the boards when we're all bashing Deja Vu. And at least you'll know what all your options are like.

I'd say try C. You never know until you try it, but don't let yourself get sucked in if you're making more $$ if it's not worth it.
Lead me not into temptation. I can find it myself.

Go with C. Any club with a VIP room has the POTIENTAL to make you more money. It's just a fact. And I've danced at several Deja Vus and not had any problems. They are definately not for the faint of heart, but if you can just grow some thick skin and some strong personal boundries, you'll be fine. Just know what you will and will not do, and don't take shit from anyone and just hustle your way to the VIP room on a nightly basis and you'll do fine.

Of course, there are benefits and drawbacks for working corporate clubs. On the upside, like it was mentioned, they have more advertising power and money and they are better at filling the place than little mom and pop places and they tend to be better staffed and they watch over what goes on moreso than smaller places. However, they also are more impersonal and it's easy to get lost in all the girls working there and you are treated more like a number than a person. Also, occassionally, because of this, things happen to you because it gets so busy and bouncers can't always be there to protect you. Which is why I say if you work at a Deja Vu, be prepared to handle things on your own. Don't freak out about things, remain calm and get your shit taken care of. Don't rely on anyone to do it other than yourself and you'll be just fine.

Plus, at Deja Vus, I've noticed that they are really good at getting guys to buy dances and really good at upselling the VIP rooms (or the CR depending on the club). I've always made killer money at DVs, so I definately reccommend it.

You also have to give yourself some time. Usually, I find it takes about a month to really get the hustle of the club you're at down. At first, like the first week, you'll make "novelty" money just because you're new, but after that, things will drop off. You just have to stick it out and you'll find as the end of the first month is drawing close that you'll start making more, and eventually, you'll end up knowing how to hustle the club for all it's worth. Now, that may NOT neccessarily mean you'll be making bank, because not all clubs have a lot of money to be made in them right now, but that's where Deja Vu comes in. If those are seriously the only three clubs in your town, I BET that the men with the most money, the business men, go to Deja Vu. SO go there and figure the place out because when you become comfortable there and able to figure out how to hustle that club, you'll have more MONEY walking in the door to make than you'll have at those other two clubs. If that makes sense.

Also--depending on the club, I've found that sometimes working day shifts can be just as profitable as working nights. The thing with day shifts is you have to be more relaxed--you can't hustle as hard. Expect more men that just wanna take things slow and talk. The way day shifts can be really good is if you get a whole bunch of regulars that come in just for you. Or if you work at a club that has a somewhat busy day shift. This is good because if it gets even a little busy, there aren't ususally as many girls during the day to compete with and they aren't usually as good looking. So if you can stand out during the day and talk to the customers and be chill, a lot of them will want dances from you and you can just make killer bank.

Another thing to maybe try is mid-shift. This is personally my favorite shift to work when I find a club that I can make money doing it. Work half a day shift and half a night shift. Most clubs will let you do this so they don't have a huge gap where there are no girls after the day shift ones have left and the night shift ones haven't shown up. It's awesome because most girls don't work this shift because they a) don't know they can or b) they don't want to. Because of this, there are usually very few girls working and you can make HELLA MONEY dancing with every guy that comes in. Plus, you get the benefits of the day AND the night shifts, without having to commit to one or the other, and it will also allow you to really see which shift is the better one to work at the club you choose to work at; or, it will let you see that working mid-shift really IS the best shift. It all just depends on the club and the customer attendance patterns.

If your club hasn't told you about mid-shift, bring it up to them. Tell them you wanna try working half day and half night shifts. I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't have a problem with it. I've introduced the term "mid-shift" to many a club, in an effort to figure out which are the best hours to work and to get money from other girls laziness in not wanting to show up for work on time (night shift) or leaving early (day shift).

That's a really good idea about mid-shift. I never even thought of it. Yay for thinking outside of the box!
