Thumbs up I totally have to share with all of you...

The two funniest websites I have ever encountered in my life:
    First,
    which has such gems as:

(812): Rocking a Headband at the strip club, because of Rock of Love this shit is like their kryptonite, I smell like stripper butter and back child support.

    And....

    which has features such as:

Today, I took a call. Wrong number. A few seconds later, they called back and I told her that she had the wrong number. She said she just hit redial and didn't understand how she got me again. I tried to explain how redial works. She called me a moron and hung up. Then my phone rang again. FML

    BEST. SITES EVER.

My sister and I are on the phone crying we are laughing so hard.

So, Ms. Las Vegas, do you think mid June is a good time for a 3-6 day vacation in LV? My anniversary is 6/14, and we are both off the following week. Looking at resorts, cruises, and then I thought about Vegas. Any thoughts/suggestions?

I shall compile you a list.

    In the meantime, an intermission...

(604): I hate you, and I hope you have babies soon that you love very much. Then I will steal them and feed them to sharks, and you will be so heart broken that you never want to have any more kids and you'll just hide out in a dark room all day wondering how someone could feed another persons babies to sharks.

An FML appropriate to the board:

Today, I gave a big presentation at work. The manager decided to video tape it. I went through my presentation with ease and was confident I did a good job. My confidence was then lowered after watching the tape. Apparently, my boobs are much more interesting than what I had to say. FML

Shall you? That would be (will be?) great, but is it a good idea/time in general? Also, the other part is that I don't want a major agenda, or, rather, lots of pool/alcohol time would be a large part of the agenda. And I may be able to talk my wife into a club or two...

This one just reminds me of my high school years too much:

Today, I decided I didn't care about my pride, and so I asked this girl out in a text. After an hour of no responce I asked again. Later I got a text saying, "I'm sorry, This is Emily's mom. Emily isn't here at the moment, but if I were you, I wouldn't ask again." I was rejected by her mom. FML

    Other than texting didn't exist...

    Drinking:

    On the cheap:

The Griffin in downtown Las Vegas rocks. It's on Fremont street, very sweet, quiet and cozy, gas fireplaces.

Hennessey's is across the street from the Griffin. Very cool, two story irish ub with live music a lot of the time.

Downtown Cocktail Room: Very chill sort of urban place. Pretty romantic. Lots of cool martinis, like pomegranate, chassis... yum. Your wife would like this one a lot I bet.

    On the regular (Vegas prices):

Caramel Lounge in the Bellagio. Beautiful, they have awesome, awesome drinks but is pretty expensive.

eyecandy at Mandalay Bay is awesome. They have interactive sound decks, touch tables.. it's just really, really neat.

Revolution Lounge at the Mirage. Small, but very cute, great atmosphere. When they open the big room on the weekends they too have touch tables you can draw on and it will project onto the walls.

    Eating:

    On the cheap:

Trattoria Reggiano in the Venetian. I recommend this place to EVERYONE. It's small, like 10-12 tables. All the pasta is handmade. The house wine is fantastic. And it's like $15-$20 a plate. No lie. And their tiramisu kicks ass.

Firefly. Really good, popular tapas lounge, I would get reservations. Spanish food mostly, killer atmosphere. Young professionals, mostly. It's on Paradise, off the strip.

Mon Ami Gabi at Paris. Best outdoor patio in Vegas. Food is AWESOME and it is right across the street from the Bellagio fountains. I have been here for a 9pm meal and let me tell you... wine, the fountains, clear night. Yeahh. it's great.

    On the regular:

Mix at THEHotel. My SO took me here in March. It's on the 64th floor of the hotel, and ALL OF THE WALLS are glass, so you get a 360 degree view of the strip. It has a 50,000 pieces blown glass chandelier and is all white. It's is fucking GORGEOUS, and there's a cocktail lounge attached, as well as an outdoor balcony. It is killer, the gnocchi is fantastic. My SO had the colorado lamb and adored it.

Aureole in Mandalay. This place is pretty epic. It's very romantic, fine dining and te staff will treat you amazingly. The service can not be beaten. Their seafood is amazing I have been told by friends. Being a vegetarian, they totally accomodated me. Their sauces are flawless. I can not say enough good things
    about this place.

    Dancing:

ROK at Ny, Ny. Best music in town. Rock music, obviously, and it's mash-ups. Not too big and not too expensive. I dig it.

Tryst at the Wynn. 60 ft waterfall half indoors half outdoors. Very expensive-- two shots cost me $40. The scene is worth it though. Half of the dance floor is clear and you can see the water below.

XS at Encore. Newest in Vegas, also half indoor half outdoor with a huge pond, decorated outside with honeysuckle bushes. They have a gambling pagoda in the middle on the pond, and it doens't feel like a night club unless you're in the indoor section.

    Random Stuff:

Top of Eiffel Tower. Has to be done.
Gondola ride at Venetian. So adorable.
Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. It's interactive, total kick.
    Aquarium at Mandalay Bay.
Mirage volcano eruption. Cheesy. But I still think it's fun.
Tacos and Tequila Lounge in Treasure Island.
Springs Preserve. It's off the strip. Gardens, trails, restaurants. Really nice getaway, even if it's only 4 miles from the strip.

If you want more specific things, let me know.

Never mind. Not what I meant. I'm not commenting on how the post applies to me. I'm very self-centered, so anything I say is about me. Although I'm sorry your ex was a douche. I thought I read a post that you have a good one now?

You did not need to spend that much time on that, but thanks. Do you have to be like the super attractive people to get into the clubs? Cuz we ain't. Any particular hotel you're a fan of? I've done the Venetian and MGM Grand for business, and they were ok. Did the Luxor and TI for vacations (not this kind of vacation). Luxor room was nice. TI was 12 years ago (come to think of it, it was part of our honeymoon). Money is a medium consideration, but, if we do a cruise or resort instead, we'll probably spend 3-4K for the week.

I just almost typed my name again. D'oh! Cuz I'm worried about being stalked.

P.S. How much do you want for your travel agent's fee?

Oh sorry. I misread what you meant than.

And yes I do. My husband is the most amazing man on the face of the planet and I'd be lost without him.
