    Default That stretch mark regimen?

A few weeks ago I came across what was probably an old thread about this regimen for stretch marks (with Apricot Scrub and aloe and cream). Anyway I bought every thing and went to print it out and now I can't find the instructions. Whoever had posted it can you please please post it again for me. Sorry, I know it's long but my stretch marks have gotten really bad since losing weight.

I wouldn't waste my time on that regimen. Especially if you have a really busy schedule. It sounds easy but it's a pain in the ass. I had no results from it either. I still have a ton of marks all over my butt. If your marks are still red or pink you should use retin-A. If they are old and white you are kind of out of luck. But if you are like me and will not give up you should look into the derma roller. It sounds promising. I’m dying to get one and use it along with emu oil (only oil that can actually penetrate into the dermis) and copper peptide cream.

Sloppyjoe how was your experience with the derma roller for stretch marks?

I did this years ago ( skin regimen) after I had my daughter, and it made a difference in the texture. But it was a pain in the as* because of the time and I have never been a patien person for results. What sucks is that stretch marks are on so many woman and men but they are not life threatening so there is no real "cure" they are scars, and you would be surprised that most people have them. I have never excepted mine as I began to get them at the age of 12. I have always been petite, and insecure of them. Good Luck

i got it from amazon.com my stretch marks are from breast feeding/pregnancy. my son is five so they're old. they were really deep and long. i didnt take before and after pics. but they are becoming shorter and theyre not as deep. like i said before, about 40% better. and even if they dont improve anymore im happy with the results. with shipping it was under 40$. worth the money. just go to amazon and search derma roller. you can buy them from other websites too. i think ebay sells them. i hope it works as good for any of you who might but one. but for under 40$ its worth a try anyways. i dont think theyll go away completely though.

It was me that posted it here is the post for it: and yes it takes some time to do it but i was staitisfied with the results. This link is for cellulite http://forum.stripperweb.com/showthread.php?t=94809 . and the stretch mark instructions are listed below:

Sorry its a book but it works!

    Items you will need:

Apricot Scrub such as St Ives

100% Aloe Vera Gel (Any gel will work as long as its at least 99% pure, clear, and aloe Vera is the 1st ingredient.)

Cellulite Massager ( it oval shaped with flexable wood fingers) http://www.woodnsplash.co.uk/Merchan...temassager.jpg

Vitamin E / Collagen-Elastin Cream (Any Cream as long as it has collage, elastin and vitamin E) if u want to u can use an oil like bio oil
**please use a cream or balm NOT a lotion.

**Please only use on skin that is not wounded or is extremely sensitive, also do NOT tan for a least 3 days after doing this.

    This Will Be Uncomfortable Feeling

    The Exfoliate Mix and Massage

    Use
    4 tsp of scrub
    1/2 tsp of aloe gel
and mix if you have really dry skin you can add vitamin oils or olive oil but keep the scrub constancy.

    1) Soften skin by taking a hot bath/shower for at least 10 mins. Pat skin dry leaving some moisture but no water droplets. Leave the bathroom.

    2) Apply a thin layer of exfoliate to marked skin. Using massager, massage skin in a small circles concentrating on the top layer of skin. Do NOT do a deep tissue massage that will only damage skin more. Massage one area for no more than 2-3 mins or until skin turn pink. Stop if hurting or becomes extremely uncomfortable. If mixture starts to dry out add another dab of aloe gel to skin.

    3) Using a wet loofah or rough sponge buff skin with exfoliate for another 1-2 more mins. then rinse skin clean.

    4) Apply cream and oils while skin is still red.

It is important that you apply the cream if not you will be doing this for nothing.

Do the Massage to these schedule, cycles, and steps.

    Step 1:
    Schedule 1; 5 day cycle
    Day 1- Exfoliate; apply cream
    Day 2- Exfoliate; apply cream
    Day 3- Apply cream
    Day 4- Apply Cream
    Day 5- Apply Cream
Repeat schedule twice, if results are unsatisfactory skip to schedule 3

    Schedule 2; 7 day cycle
    Day 1- Exfoliate; apply cream
    Day 2- Apply cream
    Day 3- Exfoliate; apply cream
    Day 4- Apply cream
    Day 5- Apply cream
    Day 6- Apply cream
    Day 7- Apply cream
    Repeat schedule 2-3 times

    Schedule 3 - 10 day cycle
    Day 1 Exfloiate; apply cream
    Day 2 Apply cream
    Day 3 Apply cream
    Day 4 Apply cream
    Day 5 Exfoliate; apply cream
    Day 6 Apply cream
    Day 7 Apply cream
    Day 8 Apply cream
    Day 9 Apply cream
    Day 10 Apply cream

Repeat schedule twice, if results are unsatisfying after 1st try move to schedule 4

    Schedule 4; 10 day cycle
    Day 1- exfoliate; apply cream
    Day 2- Apply cream
    Day 3- Apply cream
    Day 4- Apply cream
    Day 5- Apply cream
    Day 6- Apply cream
    Day 7- Apply cream
    Day 8- Apply cream
    Day 9- Apply cream
    Day 10- Apply cream
    Repeat schedule twice

    Stage 2
Go back to schedule 1, then 3, then 4, then 2, for 1 cycle each. Keep changing us the schedule. Stay in stage 2 until you've reached your ideal results, then follow schedule 3-4 occasionally to maintain results. continue to use cream.

**Some may see results over night others may see them in a few weeks. the whole process should not take any longer than 6 months if done correctly. Some may have the marks removed completely while other may just have a significant fading and shrinking.

Hope this is helpful. please keep adding updates so we now if it working and to let others interested in trying it out know the end results.

Also if u are willing to go for it a chemical peel works for the older ones my mom had one done after sh had her tubes tide n a tummy tuck. The tuck go rid of a lot of them but then she had a thin scar so she had a peel done and now u can barely notice it. and what was left of the stretch marks pretty much gone unless u get eye to skin with a magnifying glass lol. you can do your own peel at home if you don't want to spend the $$$ at the spa or dermatologist office.

I never did one at home i know a few who have, i was just saying my mom had really good results from hers, which was done by a dermatologist. in my advice spend the couple hundred to know its done right. that why your not paying thousands when something goes wrong...

Thumbs up Re: That stretch mark regimen?

I think the Dermaroller could be the one for me too...
Unbelievably, long after giving up hope of ever getting rid of the nasty marks on my boobs, hips and arse...(Stretch marks are the bane of my life, seriously!)

I have had them for so long I can't remember when they appeared, but I think it must have been a growth spurt as a teen, because I have never been overweight or had big boobs(which is why they bother me so much, there is no excuse for them to be there besides bad luck in that department)!
So anyway, they are very old, white/silvery marks...I have used the DR 3 times on my boobs(the 1st time was months ago and I got scared off because I didn't use a local anaesthetic on the area 1st-OUCH-), then I got smart and got some EMLA cream, and have started using it at 2-3 week intervals, and I can definitely see an improvement there, the only downside is the way the skin looks after rolling(very red and then skin peeling, so no low tops etc. but then I'm used to being super-conscious of my stretch marks for years and having to cover them, so I can do this for a few months or more).

I cannot emphasise enough how amazed I am that it is working, in the past few years I have spent a lot of money on trying to get rid of SMs, including expensive creams that DO NOT WORK, and a treatment called Carboxy-therapy which had minimal, if any effect...so essentially DID NOT WORK!(And cost a lot more than the DR.)

So if you are in despair and think nothing works, it couldn't be worse than me, I had almost given up until now... now I just need to get hold of a DR the size of a wallpaper roller for my arse!

Jadejewel Im glad you had results with the DR it gives me hope. What size neeedles do you have, because I heard you need at least 1.0m to reach the dermis.Just want to make sure before I buy.
Gia Im glad you having improvements with the regimen. I also had a texture improvment when I first started using it but it was only temporary and only due to the exfoliation.Sadly once you stop your skin will return to normal.but hey everyone's different.Maybe you'll have better luck than me.

Thanks, yes, I have a 2.5mm roller, apparently the smaller needles are meant to be used for other skin conditions(like wrinkles on the face) but to get a result with stretch marks you need 2mm or more...

Its definitely more aggressive than the videos I have seen of people having their faces rollered with the 0.5mm needles or whatever; the manufacturers state that the smaller ones are for home use but over 1mm are for clinical use only, I suppose as a kind of disclaimer as it would be quite nasty to get a 3mm needle anywhere near an eye, plus you do have to be careful with the DR in terms of hygiene and sterilise it, and your skin well before and after making big old puncture marks in yourself!
In the info that came with the roller they say you will only have a slight sunburn type redness to the skin, but I have read that in a clinic treatment they are more aggressive, and I think thats why the bigger needles are meant to be used with caution at home; to have an effect on deep SMs you need to get that deep, so when I roll I end up looking horrific with blood oozing from my skin, but its just all the tiny needle marks seeping blood and kind of joining together, and after wiping off its very red for up to a week
But if it keeps improving its worth it! I hope it will work for you too...

I could be wrong about this as I don't know the size of the needles or exactly how a dr works but do know some anatomy and physiology and wrinkles and stretch marks are at relatively the same layer in the skin so if the shorter needle works for stretch marks there's really no need to be drawing blood like that (which means the needle is going at least into the hypodermis- but at that length probably even deeper) and that's not where stretch marks occur

Well I have read that 1.0m and above is fine for stretchmarks so I'll sick to the smallest size that is effective.Im a punk lol, and jadejewel you are a brave brave girl.I really want to get rid of my stretchmarks but I don't think I could draw blood for it.How do you keep your dr sanitized? That's also a problem Im worried about because I read about a lady who got a really bad staph infection from using hers.

Gia yes you are probably right, to be honest because I use a local anaesthetic cream on the skin before rolling, and I guess also because I really want to make sure I'm doing enough to have an effect, maybe I go too hard with the roller, the instructions state you only need slight pressure and I do use more than that, I had this silly idea that if I was more aggressive it would take less treatments/less time overall for the SMs to fade...

Seriously though I will bear in mind more damage could be done that way!

Jezebel, no I'm not brave just really vain! And I don't feel a thing because of the EMLA cream...
to sterilise the DR I keep it sitting in Milton sterilising fluid which is used for sterilising baby utensils so is non-toxic, and I wipe my skin with tea tree oil diluted with aloe vera gel.

Sloppyjoe, yeah, I know, I still keep checking under different lighting and in different mirrors 'cause it's hard to believe something works, especially considering the price compared to all these other 'miracle' treatments. I am ordering another one soon 'cause apparently they blunt after a while.

i think i read somewhere online to replace it every six months but that would also depend on how much you use it too.
