And drunk people=more money for everyone.
There have been numerous letters, emails, and in-person complaints made at my favorite club about this, to no avail. Management insists they want a "party atmosphere" in the club. Now I know the real reason.

At one club I worked at the music was too loud, and so loud at the tables that were by the speakers that no one would go those tables to ask for a dance. I hated it as a Dancer there, then went back a couple of years later as a customer and hated it even more. We left early b/c we were sick of just staring at the walls. We wanted to discuss the dancers, the stage work, which dancers we may want to have a dance from and why. Ya know, stuff you like to chat about with your mates at a strip club. It was impossible though.

GeorgeBailey, that's what's wrong with many businesses, they don't listen to what the customers want until they drive them away, e.g., the Big 3 Auto companies.

There's a difference between the loud music in that study and the ear piercing loudness that's played in some SCs. That ear piercing music just annoys customers and drives them away. It definitely doesn't make me want to spend more or drink more, it makes me want to leave.

Point of order; Ford did not drive us away.

    Yaaaay. Brownie points for meeee....

I'd also imagine that that's part of why store owners have stores like Abercrombie play loud techno constantly... The louder it is, the less talking (and more shopping) occurs.

In a successful business nothing is left to chance; there is a science to the ambiance. It is no accident that candy is placed at a child's eye level at the check out counter.

Its never that loud in the VIP/Champagne areas. Coincidence? Me thinks not.

Everything in clubs happens for a reason. As others have mentioned the loud music gets much softer in the private dance areas and VIP rooms. It also causes people to drink more instead of talking and "close talk" when they do want to have a conversation with a lady.

I make a living with my ears and I refuse to have them pummeled by music that is too loud and distorted just so clubs can make more money. My ATF dances in a club that plays the music at a very reasonable level and it pays dividends for both her and the club. I hang around a lot longer than I have at some other clubs which means I spend a lot more money on drinks, food and dances.

I've noticed that after eight years of working in nighclubs (5 dancing, 3 bartending) I talk very loudly. Almost to the point of shouting, maybe I should get a hearing test!

Default Why is it hot in here?

one club i went to had the a/c off in the main floor and it got uncomfortably warm. i was seriously perspiring, but the bathrooms were nice and cool. i figured since its a hardcore "buy the lady a drink" hustle club, they wanted the girls to be real thirsty and beg clients for drinks so the owner could make more money .
