How people find themselves in the debt trap
How people find themselves in the debt trap

That is a good personal story and it is very revealing about many things. The initial problem was two-fold, as I see it: a huge house mortgage and the wife not bringing in as much money as was needed to pay that that mortgage. The mortgage broker was not doing them a favor by greasing the slides. As an economics reporter, he has no excuse really.
"For want of a nail the shoe was lost; for want of a shoe the horse was lost; for want of a horse a warrior was lost; for want of a warrior, the battle was lost; for want of that victory the kingdom was lost."

I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.
Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

^^^ actually, the entire 'parable' revolves around a single point ... Anerican economic decision making based only on short term requirements / conditions.

When has the US ever taken a long-term view?
