Default I haven't lost ANY weight! WTF?!

Since May 12 I've been doing the 30 Day Shred &have been eating much less than I normally do (I usually eat like a fucking cow). I haven't even lost a single pound. I don't know what's wrong with me. I used to be able to lose weight by going on crash diets &could lose 10 pounds in two weeks, but I haven't lost ANYTHING! I'm trying to do this the "healthy way" but I'm losing hope. I'm probably not eating as much as I should, &I know that our bodies go into "starvation mode", but it's only been about 2 weeks &I should've lost SOMETHING.

    What's wrong with me?!

You may have damaged your metabolism with the crash dieting.

How many calories a day do you eat normally, and how many are you eating per day on this diet?

I'm asking because if you're used to eating say, 1200 to 1400 calories a day for maintenance, then there really isn't much room to lower that to lose weight. You might be better off focusing on eating clean and actually increasing your calories slowly over time. Once your body adapts to that, then you'll be able to lower your calories when you want to drop a few pounds and then return to the higher, healthier calorie level for maintenance.

Although you do say you ate like a cow before, but that means different things to different people. I eat 2000 to 2500 calories a day for maintenance.
I'm not familiar with the 30 day shred, so let me google that...

Actually, you're probably right. I lost a ton of weight when I went on Adderall about a year &a half ago, &I started binge eating when I went off of it. I'm not really counting calories because I'm not really on a "diet", I just eat when I'm hungry, which hasn't been often. I really want to do this the healthy way, though. I don't want to starve myself &gain everything back... again.

Ah, the 30 day shred is a workout video, ok. Exercise is good, but your diet is at least 50% of the equation, if not more.

Good for you for wanting to do it the right way. I really believe that it has more to do with what you eat then how much you eat.

I keep a running tally of my calories because I keep track of how much protein I take in. I aim for about 1g per pound of bodyweight. The high protein diet has made the biggest difference for me. I eat lots of chicken, eggs, fish, lean cuts of beef and plenty of green vegetables. I avoid processed foods, pretty much anything that comes out of a box or can, and baked goods. Although, I do have one cheat meal a week where I eat basically whatever I want.

Lots of people preach low carb, and I think the low carb approach works because by avoiding carbs, you avoid the majority of heavily processed foods. I get lots of carbs from sweet potatoes, brown rice, pumpkin, and fruits so my diet isn't really low carb.

I used to do the super low calorie diet and I could never lose those last few pounds, which is so frustrating. When I started the high protein, clean diet in September I was 27% body fat, which is pretty "normal", now I'm at 17% and I eat more than any of my girlfriends. It's a lifestyle change, no doubt, but the rewards are well worth it.

Yeah, I want to just stop eating garbage. I want to eat healthy, PURE food... but I don't really know what to look for &I don't know how to cook, so I just opt for frozen food, which is bad bad bad.

    Have you been measuring yourself?

You'll notice the effects of exercising and eating properly by measuring your chest, waist, hips, thighs, biceps, etc. because you're probably going to get more toned and firmer.

Muscle weighs more than fat and takes up less space, so you might be gaining muscle and replacing fat.

Just keep going. Two weeks really isn't that long. Don't lose hope

Thanks, guys! I just don't know what to do because I'm NEVER hungry, &I don't want to unintentionally starve myself... but I don't want to overeat when I feel like I'm not eating enough.

Agreed. The biggest mistake people make by working out is assuming they'll lose weight. Often they won't, especially if they are naturally muscular. When I started working out heavily about 15 years ago I started to gain weight. I was freaked out because I was eating healthy and working out all the time. I went to the trainer and she said I had developed more muscle mass, hence why I wasn't losing weight. Weight is just a number and varies depending on bodytype.

I dunno about that 30 day shred but my sister in law did the P90X and lost a ton of weight and toned up. Whats great about it is that it comes with a meal plan and work out plan... she said the meal plan had more of an impact on her losing weight than the work out.
